lidoderm

Avatar f tn Most OB's recommend that you continue with your regular dental visits because if you develop a dental related infection during pregnancy it can cause preterm labor among other things. That being said, I have read that 1st trimester work is the biggest gamble & have personally had a root canal done during my second trimester.
Avatar f tn Would it be safe to use it during anal sex? I have used it before after the birth of my daughter and it worked wonders. I would like an idea on it before I did use it.
Avatar f tn So I can't be of much help. But it's dangerous to use someone elses prescription, especially while pregnant. Does your ob have an after hours number?
Avatar n tn As long as it's not an Nsaid, and more like IcyHot or something, then yes it's completely safe. I also use something called a "lidoderm" patch which has lidocaine in it but doesn't really go into your bloodstream. it's used for arthritis and localized pain and helps my back sometimes when my pain level isn't too high.
Avatar n tn Do Dentist use any medicines during a root canal or tooth procedure that can cause a positive drug screen for cocaine?
Avatar f tn So I have really bad vaginismus to the point where intercourse can only be done with a lot of lidocaine and with the help of dilators. I am 15 weeks pregnant and concerned about delivery. Will my vaginismus prevent me from vaginal delivery? Is anyone else dealing with or has dealt with this??
673999 tn?1226935279 The new standard inoffice bladder instillation for IC is Lidocaine instillation with bicarbonate solution. The lidocaine is a local anesthetic and the bicarbonate allows the lidocaine to penetrate the bladder wall to get to the bladder nerves. Lidocaine without the bicarbonate solution has only minimal bladder wall penetration and very short duration of action (minutes to an hour).
Avatar n tn I really appreciate it. Will the dentist be annoyed if I ask him to use lidocaine without epinephrine? Because, doesn't this mean he will have to keep injecting me to keep me numb? I have never been allergic to preservative substances as far as i am aware. If I do not use antibiotics prior or post root canal do i put myself at risk for infection? Thanks again!
Avatar f tn Lidocaine or Novicaine or any other topical anesthetic they use for oral surgery is considered safe during pregnancy. I have to get a crown and had to ask my midwife recently. Dentist also felt it was safe but wanted me to doublecheck with my practitioner and alas it is. And as far as being around cats - just don't handle their feces and you should be fine.
Avatar m tn I use Kenergon a desensitising spray for the penis with lidocaine, except this time I certainly went overboard in the number of sprays I applied in the space of a few hours. Maybe 20 or so. My penis still doesn't feel quite right a few days later. Slight lack of sensitivity etc Will things go back to normal in a few days? Or is this something serious?
1571533 tn?1322943509 Hey. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.
Avatar f tn No it will not harm your baby or you. They are common during pregnancy and if you avoid strain during bowel movements some go away after a few weeks.!
306455 tn?1288862071 My wife has a couple prescriptions worth of lidocaine patches that she's not going to use, long story. Since the idea of a lidocaine suit came up, I asked her if I could put them all over her to see what would happen. She said no, sometimes she is just no fun at all.
Avatar f tn - Using hypoallergenic detergent - Hypoallergenic soap and shampoo - Double rinsing underwear after washing - washing vulva thoroughly with water in the shower (no soap directly on it) - washing with water after I use the bathroom - applying ice - applying lidocaine and using antihistamines daily - only wearing white cotton underwear - no underwear at night I went to my OBGYN and she gave me lidocaine gel and antihistamines to take daily which I have been doing for 6 months.
Avatar m tn Today i was having sex with my new girlfriend for the first time and i realized that my penis would go numb during intercourse and it felt so uncomfortable that i had to take it out, and as soon as i did that the numbness would go away. Then when i start again i would feel okay for few seconds but again the numbness would hit back. What could possibly be wrong? I haven't had this problem ever in my life and i dont feel numbed when i masturbate.
Avatar n tn t reuse them more then a few times! A big help to me with the irritation from cathing is to use lidocaine on the catherter. YOu can get a script for this! The lidocaine gel though does also contain methly paraben not an issue to most just me.., so I get MSM gel from Jaocb's lab compounded with lidocaine! In the beginning I would also put a cool or cold compress of ice on the urethra after cathing! I no longer need that!
Avatar n tn There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Epinephrine is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
