My first inital OB lasted for about a week (pretty short) and I was prescribed with Acyclovir 400MG and Lidocaine 2.5% and Prilocaine 2.5% cream from my local Plant Parenthood. After my outbreak..I felt very normal. No tingling sensation, no itching, zero symptoms. That was during March. Since early April, I've been feeling a lot of tingling and itching on my genitals and buttox. I did catch a cold earlier, but now I am over it.
Not very long time ago, I've found out that I'm allergic to lidocaine I have really horrible allergy on my face, around eyes and mouht area. I'm really fobic to go to the dentist and now it makes me suffer even of thinking I have to go, because they can't give me an anaestetic! I know, that there's two groups of 'caine' anaestetic, but how can I found out which one I'm allergic to? Which one can be used by a dentist on me?Who could do a test for me?
I did a lot of research on the internet and found out there are two numbing creams LMX 4% Lidocaine, (available behind the counter) and EMLA 2.5% Lidocaine, 2.5% Prilocaine which requires a prescription. I bought both, and actually tested them on myself at home, by sticking insulin needles in myself after 2 hours of leaving the numbing cream on, and it works!
Xylocain /lidocaine are anesthetic cream. Longer use can create numbness. If you have applied more cream, it affects vagina as wee, numbing vagina and reducing the pleasure of sex activity. Numbness is not permanant. It is reversible. Stop using xyocaine. You will recover in due course of time. To help you to hasten the recovery, you may do Male deer exercise. Google the word. They used Buffered Lidocaine injection which I did not feel any of.. I must admit, I did put over the counter Lidocaine cream all over my breast about an hour before the procedure. I used this Lidocaine cream on my arm before a tetanus shot that I had to get and was so afraid of and I was screaming for the nurse to WAIT but.. IT WAS ALREADY DONE! Helps a lot so you don't feel pain.
Nurse also gave me tips for next time I get an injection.
My doctor prescribed 3% lidocaine/0.5% hydrocortisone cream (which took two days to get). I was also using the hemorrhoid cream. In addition, I was using about 4-5 baby wipes to clean the area each time so that there was not one speck of anythiong left to irritate the hemorrhoids. Interestingly enough, about 6 days after that pain started, it began to decrease and after a couple more days, it was almost gone. I still had the external hemorrhoids but the hemorrhoid cream took care of them.
My local doctor was wary of all the side effects and wanted to try a neurontin cream compounded with doxipen and lidocaine. This combo seems to help some days but other days it makes the itch so much worse. Has anyone else tried these compounded creams? What strength and what were the medications involved?
I have been on the Lidocain patch for a few years and at my last PM visit he suggested the Lidocain cream 1%. My copay on the patch was $50 month and my copay on the cream $5 so I am using the cream which actually works better as I can apply the cream to my low back myself where the patch not so easy.
So I did my research and ended up purchasing a vaginal dilator set and asked my doctors to prescribe lidocaine which is a numbing cream that helps with feeling no pain down there at all! By using lube, lidocaine and my dilators for months I was finally able to have Intercourse for the the very first time.

I don't think the cream is lidocaine, although they usually do mix some lidocaine in with the serum after they draw it out of the patient's vial. You should talk to his dr about the cream. I know that patients at my allergist's office that use it (some are adults) wear plastic wrap on their arm for the 30 before the shot. I am sure that your dr will know about it.
try topical anelgesic cream it does wonders for mine, if that does not work ask your sdocto for somethin containg lidocaine

I went to my OBGYN and she gave me lidocaine gel and antihistamines to take daily which I have been doing for 6 months.
I am using Benadryl, Keri lotion, and Hydrocortizone cream for the rash and itching, but I will admit, so far mine has been mild.
As for the Fire in the Hole, that side effect has been a doozy. I am using unscented baby wipes with aloe after going to the BR (Huggies), hemorrhoid cream, sometimes A&D ointment (for any outer excoriation), prescription Lidocaine 3%/Hydrocortizone 0.5% cream, and hemorrhoid suppositories.
Hi, whew, that's rough. I'm sorry! So, first. Lidocaine patches. What about lidocaine cream? It's cheap, REALLY cheap. I've gotten it on Amazon for under 6 dollars a tube. You can spend more as well and it is going to last you and go a lot further than 2 patches. And I use it and it is helpful. You could look for alternatives. They also make a spray, also inexpensive.
Ketamine infusions I've heard are pretty amazing.
Hello and welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question. This must be very frustrating. You've not found anything skin related? Neurological itch does happen. Here's an article that is very interesting on the subject. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3139924/ This article talks about neurological itch and that often, the place that is itching is not where the abnormality is that is causing the itch. They will need to determine where it is coming from.
