Avatar n tn I GET KETAMINE INFUSION EVERY 2 MONTHS FOR TWO THREE HOUR SESSIONS. HAD 6 DAY INPATIENT KETAMINE INFUSION, 6 DAY IVIG INPATIENT INFUSION AND 6 DAY LIDOCAINE INPATIENT INFUSION WHEN IN 4TH DAY I SUFFERED FROM LIDOCAINE TOXICITY & HAD TO BE TAKEN OFF INFUSION. NOTHING HAS HELPED. MY CONDITION IS ONLY GETTING WORSE WITH TIME. SUFFERED SINCE 2009. ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY FEEDBACK. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO OFFER.
Avatar f tn Hi, whew, that's rough. I'm sorry! So, first. Lidocaine patches. What about lidocaine cream? It's cheap, REALLY cheap. I've gotten it on Amazon for under 6 dollars a tube. You can spend more as well and it is going to last you and go a lot further than 2 patches. And I use it and it is helpful. You could look for alternatives. They also make a spray, also inexpensive. Ketamine infusions I've heard are pretty amazing.
1425608 tn?1320894142 He said I probably have IC and pedundal neuropathy, and before I knew what was going on, the doc jammed a straight catheter into my urethra and injected a mixture of heparin and lidocaine into my bladder. He said it would help ease/numb the pain and wants me to come back once a week for 6 weeks to have this done.
199177 tn?1490498534 My friend uses a compounded pharmaceutical gel called KGCL that is non addictive. Its ketamine/gaba/clonidine/lidocaine, he has chronic pain in his knee and hip and swears that it works miracles for him.
Avatar f tn For anyone reading this who feels their life and their personality is being overwhelmed by having CPS, consider Ketamine. Find yourself a ketamine specialist , make an appointment and go in for a chat. You have nothing to loose. I hope your lucky like me and receive a very welcome benefit from it. My suggestion though, if you and your doctor decide to go ahead, keep the number of people you tell to a minimum.
Avatar f tn As an ex ketamine addict I know the seriously damaging effect ketamine can have on the body and am shocked to hear that a doctor is willingly prescribed it to a patient as a means of helping them. Although I can offer no advice on how it affects seizures or colonscopy, I am very curious to know why ketamine was actually given to a patient and what the doctor wished to achieve through such a dangerous and damaging drug?
Avatar m tn I have been taking Ketamine, sniffing it,that was only wey to stop crazy pain i hed after car exident! Avatar m tn m prescribed a lidoderm 5% patch, which is basically a patch infused with lidocaine. It helps with the nerve/muscle type pain I have in the lower left leg facing outward. By itself, for bad pain it wouldn't be worth the money, but I'm prescribed Lortab 10/650's ( a narcotic ) and the two used together seem to help lower this pain better than either one treatment alone.
1275919 tn?1279836004 My doc brought up Ketamine infusion as a possible treatment. Has anyone tried or know someone who has tried Ketamine infusion as a treatment for their chronic pain?
655875 tn?1295695107 I get so confused here with who has what (sometimes I don't remember my own issues!) I've never tried it, but I have tried Voltaren gel, a prescription, which I thought did make a difference. It is very expensive. I also get a compounding gel from a special pharmacy (not a chain). They combine a bunch of things like lidocaine, ketamine and I don't know what else. That actually works pretty well. Any chance you could try either of those?
739070 tn?1338603402 I 'm scheduled for my first ketamine infusion tomorrow and now at the last minute , I am getting scared. My son told me of stories of kids using "special K' , street quality ketamine and their bad reactions. He didn't mean to add to my anxiety but he did as did a lot of what I read on the net. When this treatment was last discussed by the pain doc , I had just finished a S-P block and was not totally with it.
739070 tn?1338603402 The treatment plan was 3 injections a week apart and if these were successful then 3 ketamine infusions, each a week apart. I understood how this could possibly improve my face pain, migraines and trigeminal neuralgia but was confused by how it would help the bone pain in my legs. His response it this ganglion innervates the spinal column and carries nerves to the other parts of the body.
Avatar f tn Now I use a compounded cream prescribed by my PM nurse practitioner. It has about seven different things in it. I know 2 of the ingredients are ketamine and lidocaine but I can't remember the rest. (This also runs around $200.) I find this works a bit better than the Voltaren. The lidoderm patch I cut to fit my hand, where the worst of my pain is, but I also use it whole on my hip, where I also have extreme arthritis pain. I'd ask your doctor about a prescription cream.
Avatar n tn So he prescribed me a compounded pharmaceutical gel called neuroderm(KGCL) ketamine, gabapentin, clonidine, lidocaine. Since its compounded there are many different combos of medication that they can use depending on what type of pain you have. The best thing about the gel is that they are all non-addictive, less drug on drug interaction and you can apply it directly to the source of your pain.
Avatar f tn t just thinking.... they told me I had been given a very high dose of Ketamine to keep me from coming to on the operating table with my leg slashed open. It was by far the most frightening drug I have ever taken. I made it through the 70s sharing the belief that the good folks from Dow Chemical proclaimed and that was "Better Living Through Chemistry". not even the most scary window pane LSD comes anywhere close to being so terrifying.
739070 tn?1338603402 We set up my ketamine to be once a month for the next 6 months. It can be altered of needed during that time. For those of you who were asking about the Sphenopalitine block, Dr. Shaw knew of the Cleveland Clinic Pain Center but did not know anyone specifically at the center.
20895163 tn?1584155499 Gave me 15mg of Ketamine slow 10 min iv push infusion w/ Lorazepam and Midazolam IV and it helped the pain, a lot, also the 20-30mg IV Very Slow 1000ml bag of infusion over 45 min to 1/hr. helped with my Pain, PTSD and depression alot ((no hallucinations w/ myself just dissociated )) and my audio was distorted Ketamine is the hospital's version of PCP and it will be coming back also as an alternative to Narcotics. from the world for me just like laughing Gas for me.
Avatar f tn My physiatrist is starting to think that I should try ketamine infusions. He also gave my a central sensitization survey which I scored well above what was needed to qualify. I am in the metro DC area, so I am working on getting into the Johns Hopkins pain treatment center. I would welcome any suggestions as well as any suggestions of doctors that do ketamine infusions. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, so everything is a bit more fragile on me if that relates to any theories on pain.
Avatar m tn Anyone know anything about Ketamine for W/D?? My husband should be in full W/D tomorrow.. but researching how to help with w/d he found this Ketamine. Has anyone here ever used it?? I just dont' want him to trade one drug for another. Any info would help.
1340011 tn?1276617767 She has been receiving Ketamine under Dr. Schwartzman in Pennsylvania but with not a lot of success. Is there anyone who went to Germany or Mexico who has full body RSD and has recouped? I am hearing alot of different things about this ketamine coma.
Avatar n tn I found this on the web-hope it helps. Godspeed "selma" The best RSD group in the country (outside of Boston, perhaps) is in Philadelphia. Dr. Schwartzman can take years to get into see. However, I understand from Roz on our board that Dr. Maleki is wonderful, and can be seen in far less time. For your reference, I saw Dr.
