Thank you for easing my mind. I did get some lidocaine from my doctor. She believes my paranoia of checking myself 10 + times a day irritated the sensitive skin down there. Giving me the lidocaine helped immensely.

My name is Kaylee. Last week I started having frequent urination, faul odor when I peed, and pain while urinating. I get bladder infections all the time accompanied by yeast infections on the course of my antibiotics. I had some leftover amoxicillin and I took the last 4 of them at the beginning of the week. I knew I should've just gone to see my doctor but I didn't have time because of work and needed a quick fix. Towards taking that last pill I started experiencing mild itching.

There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.

The only other time I have experienced any redness is from giving myself contact dermatitis in my vagina from too much aspercream with lidocaine down there. Am now just using coconut oil with lidocaine for pain and started a ssri. Saw a pain doctor who believes my pain is viral in nature-maybe shingles recurrence (which I have had in the past but not in groin area). Have you ever heard of any cases of herpes like this??

For my UTI doctor prescribe me amoxicillin and for my sore lidocaine viscous. On saturday night i noticed that i have a sore around vagina area. The sore is circle shaped red and looks it is fill with puss. Today i woke up i found 5 new sores. Are they herpes. Im freaking out . Other thing i havent eaten since friday my mouth and teeth hurt so bad + my lymph nodes are extremely swollen.

As soon as I put either lidocaine or coconut oil they get less red and go away. They have never broken out into a blister. I was tested 3 months ago for Herpes and came back positive for only Herpes 1. Any idea what might be going on? Does it sound like it could be Genital Herpes 1 (pretty sure I contracted it when I was little, but have never experienced a cold sore on my mouth)? Should I get retested for HSV 2? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best to see a Dr and get a urine test for bacterial stds and be checked for yeast or a uti.

I was diagnosed as acutely positive for Herpes Zostra NOS (shingles). The swelling seems to be much worse internally in the evening, making it difficult to sit without a great deal of pain. The doctor prescribed Prednisone, Valtrex, and Lidocaine they all help but none are stopping the evening pain making it very hard to sleep.

I am terrified of needles too and I FELT NOTHING.. They used Buffered Lidocaine injection which I did not feel any of.. I must admit, I did put over the counter Lidocaine cream all over my breast about an hour before the procedure. I used this Lidocaine cream on my arm before a tetanus shot that I had to get and was so afraid of and I was screaming for the nurse to WAIT but.. IT WAS ALREADY DONE! Helps a lot so you don't feel pain. Nurse also gave me tips for next time I get an injection.

ve tried pain meds, am on valcyclovir in case of it really being herpes, lidocaine, and over the counter vaginal creams. The only thing that has soothe pain at all is castor oil. I am going crazy with all this pain. What can it be and how can I treat the pain so I can sleep?

I got tested for syphilis, gonorrhea, etc but I was most worried about it being herpes! I got tested for herpes and my results will be back in 4 days, but I am wondering if it could be something else? When I got tested for herpes the doctor said that it looked somewhat like herpes but something was a little off. They did a swab test and started me on acyclovir which they said would reduce the pain/heal herpes blisters really quickly.

I recommend going to be seen and getting tested for vaginitis. Yeast and bacterial infections vaginally can cause rashes like you've described as well as trigger your herpes to reoccur too. This isn't acting like a typical herpes ob and it doesn't sound like just herpes so you need to follow up on it.

Hello, My sister needs extensive dental work i.e. root canals and fillings and crowns. She is a heart patient and we are wondering if Lidocaine, EPI, or any of the 'caines' are safe for dental work in heart patients? We do not want to start an arrythmia attack. Any safe meds? Thanks much.

Has anyone ever been prescribed this for genital outbreaks or PHN? My doctor did for PHN. I just tried it for the first time it hurt to apply and doesn't feel the most pleasant now. Has anyone ever used this and what was your experience?

I had a follow-up PM appointment today. I haven't seen her in a couple of months. We stopped my Cymbalta about a month ago and it made a HUGE difference in how I feel mentally and emotionally. Apparently that wasn't the drug for me, and it makes no difference in my pain, which was the point of going on it to begin with. I had a terrible fibromyalgia flare-up before Thanksgiving. The worst in a long time. To the point I had to crawl up the stairs and go down on my bum.

Hi Sandy! My doctor also prescribed me the Lidocaine patch for my hip and lower back. (didn't have neck or upper back pain at that time) They only worked for about a day and they also wouldn't stick to my body but I just found out last week that I tore a ligament in my hip so that my be why they didn't work. I hope your dr.can find the right med that helps with your pain!

t know if the acyclovir aided in clearing it up or not. I was told to take it 3x a day whenever I first notice symptoms and continue for 7-10 days, longer if it isn't cleared up yet. I've had at least 2 more outbreaks in the same spot since then and been taking the acyclovir for about a month straight right now. This latest sore won't go away and the itching of my ENTIRE genital area is driving me insane!

About 4 or 5 days later after running 10 miles on a hot day, I started noticing a small bump, looks like a hard pimple toward the base of my penis. A few days later I started putting some banzallkuonium and lidocaine on it as well as some hydrocordizone, as I was trying to get rid of the pimple. Shortly after I have had burning in the genital area and it has been lasting about 4 or 5 days. The burning in not on the pimple and the pimple is not sore to the touch.

Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.

my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..

Mine started out with what I thought was a pimple or ingrown hair on my labia. I was also having awful symptoms which I thought was a UTI, itching, burning when I pee, and overall tired and icky feeling. I went to my family doc thinking I had a UTI. He looked down there in the process and he asked me about the blister. I said it was there for a couple days and so he biopsied it, but didn't think it was herpes.

They wont inject lidocaine into a vein for pain... If they did any dose they give would be negligable for your heart.
