For my UTI doctor prescribe me amoxicillin and for my sore lidocaine viscous. On saturday night i noticed that i have a sore around vagina area. The sore is circle shaped red and looks it is fill with puss. Today i woke up i found 5 new sores. Are they herpes. Im freaking out . Other thing i havent eaten since friday my mouth and teeth hurt so bad + my lymph nodes are extremely swollen.
from what you told me it dosen't sound like genital herpes so don't worry as for the redness i can't help you there but i do know there's no skin disease which could cause that symptom.
Approx. 12 yrs ago I was diagnosed with genital herpes, I have always been faithful to my husband and don't understand how this happened. My husband and I have had several discussions about this. We are wondering if He could have given HSV-2 to me. Twice between the time we met 19 yrs ago and the time I was diagnosed he had severe blister lesions in his throat and was wondering if perhaps he may have HSV-2 in his throat. He has had this outbreak 3 times in 25 yrs.
I was diagnosed as acutely positive for Herpes Zostra NOS (shingles). The swelling seems to be much worse internally in the evening, making it difficult to sit without a great deal of pain. The doctor prescribed Prednisone, Valtrex, and Lidocaine they all help but none are stopping the evening pain making it very hard to sleep.
I went to the doctor today and it's not herpes. It's folliculitis! They gave my lidocaine for the pain and Bactrim for an anti biotic. I'm so relieved! Thanks your reply auntiejessi!
Got the results yesterday and came back positive for herpes. I have been in a monogomus relationship for the past 12 years and trust my partner completely. We have been racking our brains on how this could have happended. I had a full physical and blood test in October for everything including HIV, Herpes 1/2 etc and all came back negative. My doctor was very casual about everything and will not even answer my questions because he is to busy.
It's a contact virus which means she'd have to perform oral sex on you to get it orally from your genital herpes ( sorry for that visual - just pointing out that that's what it would take to transmit your genital herpes to her mouth! ). Either you or your hubby could have hsv1 orally even if neither of you have ever experienced obvious cold sores that you are aware of. She also could've gotten it from any caretaker or playmate too.
I was having some irritation and blisters forming on my genital area and decided to go into the doctor yesterday, about 5 seconds into the appointment I found out that I now have genital herpes for the rest of my life. I just have a few questions because this is so new to me and I never really thought this would happen. My partner who I received this from has no health insurance and was unaware that he also had this.
did they also prescribe you herpes antivirals too? definitely talk to your partner - odds are that they've never been tested for herpes. I recommend while you are waiting for lesion culture results to come back that you both seek out type specific herpes igg blood tests to see who has what too. the free herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com has terrific starter info on herpes.
If we assume that both you and your hubby have genital herpes now - there's really no need for him to go on suppressive therapy ( kinda putting the cart before the horse as they say ). Suppressive therapy helps to reduce ob's and to help reduce the chances of transmitting to a partner. If his ob's are rather mild and don't bother him - no reason to treat them unless he wants to. Same goes with you - recurrences won't be as severe as the first one thankfully!
5)Which type of test should I take for possible genital HSV-1? 6) We also kissed. So is it possible to get the genital HSV-1 but not the cold sore? or if I get it I should get both? 7) If my tets is positive, yet no symptoms. Can I tell from the level of antibody that if this is a recent exposure or I had the HSV-1 antibody from before?
Risk of transmitting to son through diaper change? 6. Tips for making anal herpes in fissure less painful? I have lidocaine cream and nifedipine cream to treat fissure and have been taking lots of warm baths, but defecation is brutal. Good thing I took that lamaze class, because I'm using lamaze breathing and a focal point! 7. Once I'm healed, how likely that I give my husband genital HSV-1?
Half of all adults have positivblood tests for HSV-1. The main way to confirm that HSV-1 is causing genital herpes is to test the lesion(s) -- i.e. supicious blisters, sores, ulcers -- for the virus. Was that done 10 years ago, in addition to the blood test? Half of all adults have positive blood tests for HSV-1, mostly going back to a childhood, so a positive blood test does not usually prove the cause of a genital area lesion.
I have been treating the open sores with 91% Isopropyl alcohol as an antiseptic and just normal triple antibiotic cream and as of today my breakout region is much smaller but I have read that it may take up to two weeks or a month for it to go away, if it is indeed folliculitus. My concern is for another partner, I will refer to her as "partner 2," that I had protected sexual intercourse with, no oral sex, on the 1st and 2nd of August.

You need your vaginal secretions tested for yeast and bacterial infections. You also need your cuts in your skin swabbed for herpes. Once you find out what is going on then you and your partner can go thru additional testing to find out who had what. Don't keep sitting at home trying to figure this out on your own - go be seen and get properly tested for everything.
( Its possible that you had this before, or your husband did, and niether knew it. Most people with genital herpes have no idea they have it, because they have symptoms that are missed, too mild for most to think herpes, or because they have no symptoms at all. If you find out you have type 1, that would be from oral sex from your husband, if he has type 1 orally. I'm sure it hurts awfully bad to urinate right now.
If he did give me herpes, i dont think he meant to, or that he even knows he had it, and i dont blame him for that. I just dont know what to do. Does this even sound like herpes? the symptoms apeared literally 5 hours after we had sex, but its been two weeks now and i still am not healed completely. I am stressing out and cant get back to the dr. til tmrw. Any thoughts?
Currently, I have a visible blister at the entrance of the rectum. Since this pain I begged my gynecologist to do a blood test for herpes. This blood test came out positive that I had been exposed but none of the doctors believe my problems are caused by herpes because there are no obvious blisters or lesions they have seen. I have been with my husband for nine years and he has had no symptoms representing herpes.

As soon as I put either lidocaine or coconut oil they get less red and go away. They have never broken out into a blister. I was tested 3 months ago for Herpes and came back positive for only Herpes 1. Any idea what might be going on? Does it sound like it could be Genital Herpes 1 (pretty sure I contracted it when I was little, but have never experienced a cold sore on my mouth)? Should I get retested for HSV 2? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
This latest sore won't go away and the itching of my ENTIRE genital area is driving me insane! I'm using lidocaine hydrochloride jelly 2% but the relief is minimal and I'm up all night from it. Does anyone else have ongoing outbreaks like this? Is there anything else I can do (with no insurance and very little money) to get relief besides acyclovir and the lidocaine jelly?
This isn't acting like a typical herpes ob and it doesn't sound like just herpes so you need to follow up on it.
I wore a condom and fooled around but did not have intercourse, maybe just some genital contact with the condom on. About 4 or 5 days later after running 10 miles on a hot day, I started noticing a small bump, looks like a hard pimple toward the base of my penis. A few days later I started putting some banzallkuonium and lidocaine on it as well as some hydrocordizone, as I was trying to get rid of the pimple.
no wonder it still freakin' is bothering you!!! You were not at risk for genital herpes from your encounter. Dr Hook told you that and your own providers haven't seen anything resembling herpes either. Odds are that if you had contracted genital herpes, it would've presented with a more "classic" presentation.
You didn't mention his age but shingles in a young adult is uncommon so unless it was confirmed by actual testing - he'll need additional testing to see if it's actually herpes simplex that he contracted. Lidocaine is helpful for the pain. His doctor can prescribe it for him. Also domboro's solution is helpful for pain, itching and drying out the lesions. You can buy it at most pharmacy's - ask for it - it sometimes hard to find on the shelves.
If it is a viral herpes then the antibiotics aren't going to be doing anything for that, and I won't get test results for herpes back until Wednesday. Should I go to my local urgent care now or wait until Wednesday? It still hurts so much to pee that it makes me cry - I can only pee if I pour a jug of water over the area while I'm on the toilet....and I'm supposed to be working tonight and tommorrow night (I'm an RN).
I have lidocaine gel for vagina, a lidocaine rinse for my mouth, Loratab for pain (have had TONS of pain but only took once), an antihistimine for the itching (haven't tried that). I am seeing improvement. My gums are less swollen. I was able to eat today. Still have a long way to go. I've read a lot about a home remedy of: crushing tylenol PM, adding water, Abreva. Its a paste that relieves pain and swelling. haven't tried it yet. I pray my hands are better in 10 days...
So far I've taken 2 and have noticed less burning upon touch. I've tested for trich, chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, herpes 1+2, and checked my thyroid- all normal. I'm suspecting it's vulvodynia vestibulitis but I don't know what from. This has put a huge damper on my sex life and I want to make sure I'm completely ruling out all STDs, does HPV do this? I am so perplexed and desperate for clarity on this issue, can anyone shed some light?
Today she called me back to say I tested positive for Herpes 1 and Herpes 2. My question is, could this be a wrong diagnosis? It seems strange that after 10 years I would experience my first outbreak. I have been diagnosed with Epstein-Barr could the EBV give a positive reading for Herpes 1 and 2. I am flummoxed and in a state of denial and confusion. Please help me.
