I would see a dentist to make sure what it is. In the mean time you can mix 1/2 and 1/2 liquid benadryl and maalox or other liquid indigestion medication and swish it around your mouth. Tht won't hurt you but y ou need to find out if the ulcer is due to yeast because you will need an anti-fungal to get rid of that.

Hi, I have a similar problem. I take several medications that cause dry mouth. I use Biotene products and they help somewhat. I get mouth ulcers from having a dry mouth and using Symbicort. Maalox/liquid Benadryl eases the pain, but doesn't prevent the mouth ulcers. I also get repeated thrush infections despite brushing and rinsing everytime I use Symbicort. I'm sure it has to do with dry mouth.

My dentist gives me my shot and see another patient, by the time he got back to me I was fully numb. and the numbness last for 8 - 12 hours. It doesn’t seem to cure what ails you, but sure gives immediate if not temporary relief. It’s an Rx product; and is usually formulated at the pharmacy. I hope you get some relief; this stuff can play hell on the skin.

It is perfectly safe to take Benadryl, and maalox, I would check with your Dr about lidocain just be sure, but I'm sure it's ok as some pregnant are prescribed the lidicain patches for pain management.

Son was also put on 2 acid reducers and anti nausea medication plus Maalox. Started on Monday and still no better. How long would it take for these Meds to be working if they were going to?

My dr let me take 10 mg Pepcid AC and it helped WAY more than the Maalox, Tums and Rolaids. Hope you feel better and ask your dr about the Pepcid.
