397118 tn?1219762250 Oh, I'm so sorry. You sound like you are in such a rough place. Hopefully your doctor can help. Do the Tylenol's help you sleep? Some of this may be beacuse you're not getting restful sleep. Also the thing with the Lexapro can go both ways. It can make you drowsy or wide awake. I had to take it in the morning. I really hope things get better for you.
Avatar f tn Do the side effects of Lexapro (specifically headaches) usually lessen with length of time used? I've only been on it less than a week, but have had headaches all day every day all day since I started them. OTC Tylenol or Ibuprofen don't do anything in terms of relief.
Avatar f tn I was taking Lexapro 10mg for 3days, then I took 5mg for 1day. Extreme burning sensation maybe hotflashes. Could not take it. My doctor said that I could just stop without weaning me off but I remember once before I took Lexapro 10mg for one day and was spaced out for almost a week. Help!! I did not take the 5mg this morning. I can feel a slight headache coming. What should I do?
1325193 tn?1450127436 If anything, increasing your Lexapro would make you less anxious... But I promise you, your not going to notice anything with that med for at least 4-6 weeks! Try to just put that entire subject out if your head bc it really has no impact on your situation right now. It's nothing for you to worry about at all!
Avatar m tn ssris can have a negative interaction with nsaids, but I don't think it's common. It's a possibility of bleeding. Tylenol might be the safest, but check with your psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn can anyone explain the difference between the brand name Lexapro and the generic brand? i was reading your posts. my boyfriend was on the brand name lexapro and switched to the chemical brand in June. since then he has been spriraling downhill, out of control is there that much of a difference in brand name and off brand?
Avatar f tn Oh btw I took lexapro and stopped when I got pregnant with my 2nd. I found tons of ways of managing without meds. Worked so well Ive never had to take it again!
Avatar n tn I learnt the hard way and did it slowwwwly thats the only way however a mere withdrawal from Lexapro has left me with permanent Tinnitus.
Avatar f tn but doesnt seem to be helping too much... has anybody else develoiped sinus with lexapro, and any suggestions how to treat it? many thanks.
Avatar f tn I took my first dose of Lexapro (along with the meds listed above) on weds. That evening I lost my appetite and felt strange. I chalked it up to the flight and traveling. The next day we got on a cruise ship. That's when I took my second dose of Lexapro. that evening I basically went nuts.
Avatar n tn so i took myself off of it and have been taking tylenol for the headaches (which are awful) and find myself crying for no reason like i did before lexapro. i had a huge meltdown last week and got another headache and again couldn't stop crying. im afraid that i might try to do something drastic and i wont be able to help it. im very scared but am more scared to take lexapro again. i feel that now im just pretending to be happy and when im alone im extremely sad.
Avatar f tn Hey I forgot to take my daily lexapro and have had a pounding headache all day.
Avatar f tn I will not bore you with my past problems. I need help with the present problems. I am trying to wean off of Lexapro. I am down to 2.5 mg every other day. I have been on 10 mg for 3 years. I think Lexapro stopped working for me about 3 months ago. I have been and still waking up every morning early with anxiety and elevated bp. I also feel week in my legs. I start to feel better in the late afternoon.
Avatar n tn I am in week 3 of withdraw from Lexapro after an very long gradual withdraw. I have had bad nausea, head aches most of the duration and recently dry/aching eyes. I have a stressful job and it is very hard to make it through the day. I am handling the stress alright, I just can't handle the bad nausea, head aches, and now dry/aching eyes. The dry/aching eyes make it difficult to read and drive. I am living on Tylenol and Pepto-bismol. Is this normal?

Avatar f tn Im 24 yrs old, after having our 9 month old my panic attacks that i used to have when i was a teenager have surfaced again, alot of things have changed and im assuming that has triggered my anxiety with having all the stress, i went to my doctor and im now taking lexapro 5mg, it has helped a little but i still get very anxious, especially at night.
433485 tn?1321813390 I am on 30 mg of lexapro and 1 mg of klonopin 3 times a day ( klonopin) we switched to lexapro several months ago as I was on prozac and was a mess! So far I have been doing better, just a little anxiety when I first wake up. Not sure if this was normal or not.
Avatar f tn s not a good idea to drink on a new med until you find out how it will affect you. I was on Lexapro for a long time and never had issues with moderate alcohol consumption. I now take Zoloft and feel dizzy and panicky with one beer, so no alcohol for me on Zoloft. Perhaps the combo of drugs you're on doesn't mix well with alcohol. Are you to stay on both drugs long term or will you wean off amtriptyline and just take Lexapro?
Avatar f tn So there are several studies out there showing that inositol does help with OCD. The Lexapro, while being an anti-depressant, should also help with OCD but he may not be on the correct dosage or the drug itself is not the correct one for him. Was there ever initial improvement on the Lexapro? or the inositol for that matter? My B-in-L has clinical depression, couldn't get out of bed, etc.
Avatar n tn I want to know if these symptoms could last longer based on how long I was on Lexapro. Also, is there anything I can do to cope with the the symtoms/ Or should I just treat them as they pop up with OTC stuff like Tylenol. I hope it doesn't last too much longer. I also have called my psychiatrist to get his advice.
Avatar f tn I have a terrible cold and was wondering if tylenol with codeine would help? Doc gave me some for pain few months ago. Not sure if cold meds is safe during pregnancy...
Avatar n tn I agree about talking to the doc. You might consider melatonin, though. It's OTC, safe, and works well for some people. I've been using that off-and-on throughout treatment. Go with the lowest OTC dose, though. It's a natural compound and if the body gets too much it just ignores the signal. Also, talk to your doc about Ambien (lasts roughly 8 hours) vs. Sonata (lasts about 2 hours).
1325193 tn?1450127436 I seldom trust docs completely anymore, but when I was on Lexapro, I was suggested to go on a muscle relaxer, I think the same one you're talking about, and the doc said it wouldn't interfere with Lexapro. Don't remember what the situation was anymore, and I didn't take the muscle relaxer, but just one person's experience.
