Common Questions and Answers about Lexapro side effects urination

lexapro

Avatar f tn Thank you for all of your help. I'm wondering if my doctor could prescribe something to help with my overactive bladder so I could keep taking the Lexapro or if I should just take something else instead. Lexapro is good in ways because it produces fewer side effects than any other SSRI med that I've tried and I've tried many of them.
Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am too experiences horrific effects from coming off 20mg Lexapro. But I can't take all the side effects anymore. I wish I knew what to do to stop the vertigo/dizziness but the only thing I can find on internet (but havent' tried yet) is a motion sickness tablet that contains a vestibular suppressant. Only thing I wanted to mention is that a friend/nutritionist has suggested I take SamE as an alternative to the Lexapro.
1295419 tn?1276822872 I like the effects of the Lexapro mentally, but just curious if anyone else had similar side effects and if so, if they went away or you had to start taking something else? I was on Zoloft before the Lexapro but had to stop taking it because of urinary issues it was causing. Any advice?
Avatar m tn it could take a couple of weeks for you to start to feel better and for the side effects to go away. can i ask why you want to quit taking it?

Avatar n tn Have you noticed any side effects on Clonazepam or Lexapro? I am on 10 mg of Lexapro for a while now and added 1 mg of Clonazepam 2 monts ago. I noticed that I get twitches in my fingers and sometimes my fingers shake a little. Does this familiar to anyone?
Avatar n tn I never experienced sexual side effects with Lexapro, but I have with other anxiety medications. I didn't like it one bit! So, when I stopped taking those particular meds, I am happy to say that all functions returned to normal :) If you are on Lexapro, there must be a reason (anxiety?) so I wouldn't recommend not being on anything. I'd talk to your doctor and try something else, and if that doesn't work, something else.
Avatar n tn Getting ready to start Lexapro and I want to know the side effects you have experienced? I have been on Wellbutrion and Cymbalta and both were not for me. Made my anxiety worse. I lost weight on both but wanted to know the weight issue with Lexapro since there seems to be one. Thanks for the help.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else had these side effects from Lex? Anyone been on Lex for awile with no side effects, only to have them develop later? Don't side effects happen in the beginning only?

Avatar m tn You metabolism might get used to it, but Lexapro may cause these other side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: •nausea •diarrhea •constipation •changes in sex drive or ability •drowsiness •increased sweating •dizziness •heartburn •stomach pain •excessive tiredness •dry mouth •increased appetite •flu-like symptoms •runny nose •sneezing Blessings!
Avatar f tn s thru the years (at different times for each), and some were a breeze to start, others had some pretty awful side effects. The good news is...those side effects started improving for me usually by the 2nd week, and once they started getting better, they went away pretty quickly. Hang in there...keep the line of communication open with your doc and of course, we're here for you too!
Avatar n tn Did you look up side effects of your medication, as well asside effects if you are mixing certin ones, I suffer from an angziety disorder and here are certint hings I cannot eat and drink with my meds as well as other meds that cause complications with it. It's worth doing your reasurch, ever drug has their own offical website where you can get this information from but do soem side reasurch too because veryone reacts differently, good luck.
Avatar f tn Were you anxious about taking it in the first place? Have you had similar side effects with other SSRIs like Lexapro? Medications can all affect us differently. I know when I first started taking an SSRI, I noticed a myriad of side effects. It was probably both mental and physical because I was nervous about starting it and my problem was with health anxiety, so naturally I focused in on any symptom that I may be having be it related to the medication or not....
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 37 yr old male and who has suffered with anxiety for many years. About 2 years ago, I discontinued taking Lexapro (took for about 8 - 10 years) and have been debating taking it again to help with my anxiety. Last year I was diagnosed with an IRBBB/Incomplete Right Brundle Branch Block. I am concerned about Lexapro and it's cardiovascular side effects, especially QT Prolongation which is listed as a potential side effect.
