Lexapro side effects tingling

Common Questions and Answers about Lexapro side effects tingling

lexapro

Avatar f tn Were you anxious about taking it in the first place? Have you had similar side effects with other SSRIs like Lexapro? Medications can all affect us differently. I know when I first started taking an SSRI, I noticed a myriad of side effects. It was probably both mental and physical because I was nervous about starting it and my problem was with health anxiety, so naturally I focused in on any symptom that I may be having be it related to the medication or not....
Avatar f tn if you JUST started the Lexapro, not only will it not be effective right away (it can take several weeks until you notice an improvement), but also the initial treatment with SSRI meds like Lexapro come with a LOT of side effects for a lot of people. My bet is the tingling is a side effect coupled with high levels of anxiety. You do NOT have HIV, and you need to start REALLY moving on.
Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am too experiences horrific effects from coming off 20mg Lexapro. But I can't take all the side effects anymore. I wish I knew what to do to stop the vertigo/dizziness but the only thing I can find on internet (but havent' tried yet) is a motion sickness tablet that contains a vestibular suppressant. Only thing I wanted to mention is that a friend/nutritionist has suggested I take SamE as an alternative to the Lexapro.
1295419 tn?1276822872 I like the effects of the Lexapro mentally, but just curious if anyone else had similar side effects and if so, if they went away or you had to start taking something else? I was on Zoloft before the Lexapro but had to stop taking it because of urinary issues it was causing. Any advice?
91034 tn?1401416303 I started with half a dose for a couple of days just to see how it made me feel then when I was ready, moved up to whole pill and noticed no side effects. In listig side effects the have to list every single symptom that has happened to everyone that tried it. So one side effect could of happened to one person out of 9000. You just have to keep telling yourself it's for your health. If you had diabetes or something you wouldnt question taking the medicine and you shouldnt now either.

Avatar n tn Have you noticed any side effects on Clonazepam or Lexapro? I am on 10 mg of Lexapro for a while now and added 1 mg of Clonazepam 2 monts ago. I noticed that I get twitches in my fingers and sometimes my fingers shake a little. Does this familiar to anyone?
Avatar n tn I never experienced sexual side effects with Lexapro, but I have with other anxiety medications. I didn't like it one bit! So, when I stopped taking those particular meds, I am happy to say that all functions returned to normal :) If you are on Lexapro, there must be a reason (anxiety?) so I wouldn't recommend not being on anything. I'd talk to your doctor and try something else, and if that doesn't work, something else.
396332 tn?1320003615 I have been on similar anti depressants before but always stop taking them because I dont like the side effects....
Avatar n tn Getting ready to start Lexapro and I want to know the side effects you have experienced? I have been on Wellbutrion and Cymbalta and both were not for me. Made my anxiety worse. I lost weight on both but wanted to know the weight issue with Lexapro since there seems to be one. Thanks for the help.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else had these side effects from Lex? Anyone been on Lex for awile with no side effects, only to have them develop later? Don't side effects happen in the beginning only?
Avatar n tn the type A migraines with all the neurological side effects. Now I am starting to experience numbness and tingling i my hands and feet and arms and legs. It happens every day at least 5-10 times aa day and may have nothing todo with my migraines, but it is very uncomfortable and frustrating. Just now, it happened in my right hand and when I tried to stretch my thumb out it wouldnt stretch... kind of hard to explain. It felt almost heavy like it was to heavy to lift.

459772 tn?1206398319 I can relate to side effects coming of an SSRI like Lexapro. You will feel 'wierd' for awhile but it will subside. I came off of Zoloft in 2006 and at first, I came off of it too fast. I consulted with my doctor and suggested coming off of it a little slower. While I still had some side effects, they were much more tolerable. Go ahead and talk to your doctor about your concerns for a slower taper; I am sure he/she will work with you.
Avatar f tn s thru the years (at different times for each), and some were a breeze to start, others had some pretty awful side effects. The good news is...those side effects started improving for me usually by the 2nd week, and once they started getting better, they went away pretty quickly. Hang in there...keep the line of communication open with your doc and of course, we're here for you too!
