lexapro

949477 tn?1247796031 the effects on cravings are caused partially by taking it at a very high dose, which is the case with Suboxone. I have not seen effects on the menstrual cycle beyond cases like yours, where you never know for certain which med is at fault, or if none are, and instead the person has a hormonal imbalance of some sort. I recommend you ask your GYN to work it up, and try to keep the doc from blaming the Suboxone.
Avatar n tn I am on day 38 of my menstrual cycle. I normally go between 26-28 days on my cycles. I have taken 2 pregnancy test with a negative result. I have NEVER missed a period without being pregnant ( 2 pregnancies). I have been taking Lexapro for the past year. I have stopped cold turkey due to was not sure if I was pregnant. My concern is not having a period with a negative result on a pregnancy test. I have been feeling dizzy, small cramps, tired, and moody. I am so confused. Anyone have any input?
Avatar f tn I just want a little clarification. I've had the Nexplanon implant for about...3 months now. I've done my research and read all of the side effects. I haven't had a menstrual cycle since the implant, I have also taken a pregnancy test and came out negative. I know this is mentioned on a lot of side effect lists but I just want to make sure there's nothing I should rush to a doctor to get checked out.
Avatar f tn The most common side effects are hot flashes and vaginal discharge. Some women experience irregular menstrual periods, headaches, fatigue, nausea and/or vomiting, vaginal dryness or itching, irritation of the skin around the vagina, and skin rash. As with menopause, not all women who take tamoxifen have these symptoms. Men who take tamoxifen may experience headaches, nausea and/or vomiting, skin rash, impotence, or a decrease in sexual interest.
Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar f tn Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?
Avatar f tn Hi, I am too experiences horrific effects from coming off 20mg Lexapro. But I can't take all the side effects anymore. I wish I knew what to do to stop the vertigo/dizziness but the only thing I can find on internet (but havent' tried yet) is a motion sickness tablet that contains a vestibular suppressant. Only thing I wanted to mention is that a friend/nutritionist has suggested I take SamE as an alternative to the Lexapro.
1305767 tn?1361192676 My Dr. prescribed me Zoloft, 50 mg. to take when I get mood swings and depression associated with my menstrual cycle. Normally I'm on a daily 10 mg. dose of Lexapro. I am not to take the Lexapro on the days I take the Zoloft. Anyway I took my first Zoloft this morning and feel like I've been speeding since. My heart rate isn't high or anything but I feel like an electrical current is going through me and I feel a bit shaky inside. I feel real fidgety too like I can't sit still.
1295419 tn?1276822872 I like the effects of the Lexapro mentally, but just curious if anyone else had similar side effects and if so, if they went away or you had to start taking something else? I was on Zoloft before the Lexapro but had to stop taking it because of urinary issues it was causing. Any advice?
Avatar f tn Hello, Dry skin is a common side effect of lexapro while other symptoms that you have mentioned are frequent side effects of seasonique.Pls discuss these adverse effects with your doctor and shift to some other birth control measure. You can apply some antiitch cream like antihistaminic cream on the itchy rashes but oral antihistaminics like benadryl or Claritin will be more effective. These are available over the counter.

736040 tn?1257436457 Before I started on my med i had a very irregular menstrual cycle (had not had one in 2-3 mo). Endo put me on meds and i started up again and for a good 2-3 months i was regular. My levels were good although I was still having some fatigue so he bumped me up from 25 to 50mg. Unfrotunatley about a month or so after my recheck I stopped having my menstrual cycle again. he did a recheck on my levels and they were great! To date i have not had a menstrual cycle for a good 3-4 months.
Avatar n tn I get the same thing there is nothing I can do to make it better you could try a anti anxiety medication only for the days anxiety is bad, I tried wellbutrin and my side effects were also bad so I stopped taking it. Do you have anxiety only around your period or do you suffer from it normally?
Avatar f tn combination of medications for someone who needs to suppress menstrual periods and is also taking Lexapro and Lamictal for Major Depression with Bipolar 2 ? My daughter tried taking Yasmin continually (not taking the "fake" week of pills for 3 months) but experiences almost daily cramping, hot and cold flashes, nausea. The gyne was stumped as to which BC pill would be best, as Yasmin is for the PMDD, but causes the side effects for her.
677061 tn?1226275988 When it comes to side effects which is more benign as far as cardiac function concerns?
Avatar f tn The bleeding is from the plan B pill. Side effects from the pill are what seem to be pregnancy signs but really are not. Just treat the bleeding g like a normal menstrual cycle. If it doesn't end in 7 days talk to your doctor. You may experience nauseous and vomiting and headaches. It ***** but you'll be fine nothing to worry about. You obviously can get pregnant at anytime even after your menstrual cycle, heck women can get pregnant while they're pregnant. Is it rare?
396099 tn?1216254986 Each one can have side effects, but I have heard good things about Lexapro. I use Zoloft and it has helped.
Avatar n tn Have you noticed any side effects on Clonazepam or Lexapro? I am on 10 mg of Lexapro for a while now and added 1 mg of Clonazepam 2 monts ago. I noticed that I get twitches in my fingers and sometimes my fingers shake a little. Does this familiar to anyone?
Avatar n tn I never experienced sexual side effects with Lexapro, but I have with other anxiety medications. I didn't like it one bit! So, when I stopped taking those particular meds, I am happy to say that all functions returned to normal :) If you are on Lexapro, there must be a reason (anxiety?) so I wouldn't recommend not being on anything. I'd talk to your doctor and try something else, and if that doesn't work, something else.
750172 tn?1256147076 Hi, I have been seeing just a counselor for about two months now. But, I went into my GP today. Got prescribed 10mg of Lexapro and I think 10mg of Ambien. I've also been diagnosed as borderline manic deppressive. I just wanted to get some experiences of people taking these meds. Couple questions...How long will it take to notice effects from the Lexapro?? Also, what are some of the side effects I could feel from both meds? I've read about possible side effects...
