I was going to try to get pregnant last year so I had this whole discussion with my doctor and she had switched me to Lexapro which I believe is better if you have to take something while you are pregnant but that didn't work for my anxiety and made me sick so I couldn't continue. Anyway, I believe Prozac may be ok as well but again, you have to discuss it with your doctor and figure out what is safe and right for you. Good luck and God Bless.

Hi all As part of my treatment for trying to uncover why I have tachycardia, I had to see a psychiatrist, who has prescribed me Xanax (extended release - once daily) and Lexapro b/c he believes i suffer from generalized anxiety and possible depression. Does anyone on this board (with heart rhythm issues) have success stories from these drugs that you could share with me?

Helllo, I was on the generic form of Yasmine birth control, lexapro,wellbutrin and clonazepem for eight years. He increased my busporine, non addictive anti-anxiety med, and my lexapro from 10 to 20. He also said it could up to 2 weeks before I start to feel good again. So now, everyday is going suck for a while. Pleae pray for me. I will never be here again. I always had anxiety issues, but my 10 mg lexapro always kept it in check. he has a horrible episode od tachycardia that happened in school where his heart rate went up to 136. i have taken him to a cardiologist and they did an echo and 24 hour halter monitor that came back fine. the halter monitor showed tachy and palps, but were normal. thru research i cam to the conclusion that mine was dopamine...and aslo that i responded to tricyclics and did not to ssris like lexapro...

the seratonin sydrome thingy..amino acids are found most foods we eat....people on lexapro feel safe to eat tons of turky on thanksgiving..full of tryptophan and tyrosine..all meat a daity products have alot of aminos as they are the building blocks of protein...beans and such are heavy in aminos as well...most of what we can not absorb we excrete....so the danger is minimal..but i guess it is there..just dont OD on meat and dairy or u may have a problem too....just be normal i think..
