Avatar f tn I take 20mg Lexapro for anxiety and it makes me so tired. Does Lexapro make make anyone else tired and what do you do about it? Its the only med that has worked for me, but all I do is sleep and I have no motivation all.
Avatar n tn I've currently been taking 15mg of lexapro for about 14 months. Works great for my panic/anxiety. However, the tiredness side effect hasn't gone away, instead it seems to be worse. I could seriously sleep all day long if I didn't have to work. I take my meds at night. I can barely get out of bed in the morning. I tried taking it in the morning but that didn't help.
Avatar f tn Wow, interesting information....I had never even heard of "seratonin syndrome". I may have had that once when I was on Zoloft. Not sure though. Anyhow, I've been on SSRI's for a long time also. I was on Zoloft for about 5+ years and then Celexa for 7+ years (I'm still on CELEXA, btw).
Avatar m tn She tapered down the dosage for the first month and has suffered for over two months with debilitating withdrawal symptoms - extreme and constant naseau, lethargy, diziness etc. Her OCD is back in full swing again now but we can't go back to Effexor knowing what we no know about it. We'd really appreciate some good advice on known medications for effective treatment of mild OCD?
Avatar m tn i was on lexapro and that helped somewhat but not as well. wellbutrin helps with dopamine levels, lexapro with seratonin, so it depends on what your need is. it is all trial and error with the antidepressants to find which one works best for you. xanax is not an antidepressant, it is more for anxiety, and to be honest those things have made my depression worse. wellbutrin seems to work well for addict type personalities (which may or may not be you).
Avatar n tn I have taken 5 mg Cipralex (Lexapro, Escitalopram) for 6 days but I am stopping because I cannot deal with the side effects. Am I likely to develop any type of withdrawal symptoms after such a short period of time on the medication? I experienced withdrawal symptoms when weaning off Paxil three years ago.
Avatar n tn My question is sort of 2 fold. I've been taking Lexapro at a dose of 40mg and also Ativan PRN for the last 5 months. Before that, I was misdiagnosed with Bipolar disorder and was being treated with 800mg of Seroquel XR daily, 4mg of Klonopin, and 150 of Effexor XR both daily as well. I went through Hell going cold turkey off the Seroquel, while weening from Effexor. I traded the Klonopin off for Ativan and weened it down from 2mg daily to now taking it as needed (generally .
Avatar n tn I spend a fair amount of time curled into a fetal position in bed. The aches I can take; it is the extreme lethargy and malaise. I have been following the thomas recipe and trying to do a little exercise (does walking slow for 15 minutes on a treadmill count?) Can someone tell me if the lethargy is normal and how long it will last? as in days?
Avatar f tn I was already on Lexapro for depression long before I started treatment, and I upped my Lexapro dose at week 2. The Lexapro is working nicely at this point, and I am not depressed. I'm definitely very familiar with lack of energy and fatigue that comes from depression, but has anyone used Wellbutrin as an "energy booster" when they aren't depressed? I'm thinking that the NP just felt compelled to try to offer something when she saw me feeling so bad yesterday.... Oh.
Avatar m tn I take a big dose of Ativan a day 6mg , was 4mg for 4years but tolerance forces increase , my 5mg Lexapro has pooped and I am in trouble now. having used all the SSRI,S and not wishing to go back on any SNRI I am forced to try sertraline again . It was the med that pooped before Lexapro so its second go and I don't hold much hope.
Avatar n tn But I now seem stuck with this lethargy that is kicking my booty. Is this normal and will it lift? I apologize for being quiet last few days; I haven't had the energy to type. Sometimes, for a couple of hours here or there, I will feel semi-energetic, but usually I feel sooooooo tired. I have typed this with one finger, I apologize if I sound illiterate...
Avatar f tn all ADs have side effects unfortunately...lexapro made me not sleep well.also..i would not start wellbutrin during wds tho..or tapering...only during the extreme fatigue and depression that can follow wds for some...its capacity to affect sleep is not good during wds...some people have depression that makes them not be able to get out of bed..or to where they go to work and lay on the couch/loss of motivation and lethargy..those are the people who respond well to WB...
Avatar m tn Lexapro, the brand name for escitalopram, is a widely prescribed medication known for its effectiveness in managing mood disorders. This antidepressant, belonging to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class, offers several benefits to those struggling with conditions like major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. https://buylexaproonlinepharmacy.weebly.
Avatar f tn s a lot of medication you are taking and some new meds can do wonders at treating both anxiety and depression like the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor ( SSRI like Cymbalta and Lexapro ) But well if you GP think you need such heavy medication i respect his choice since i don't know you and your condition but you're taking a lot... And as for the Abilify i don't sugest you change that since you might have a schizophrenia and or bi-polar disorder...
Avatar f tn I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I'm so depressed and exhausted with research on what is wrong with me. Last month I was on my period for a month straight which caused a lot of fatigue and tiredness. Right about the same time as my period had just began, I went to gymnastics (I was on my college team), and the next morning I had fever, chills, and muscles spasms/ pain.... but not like a normal workout soreness, I promise.
Avatar m tn Lexapro, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta, EMSAM, Savella, Strattera, Abilify, Prozac, Pristiq, Provigil, Neurontin I'm now on: Vyvanse, Buspar, Aplenzin. I've also suffered from sinus problems during all of this. I've had sinus surgery but I still wake up congested, and have a loss of smell.
Avatar f tn We have a 16 week old lab mix puppy. We had house guests who brought their boder collie for the weekend. They left yesterday morning and our puppy has done nothing but sleep since then. She can barely move this morning. She has not lost her appetite and is still drinking water. She doesn't want to go outside at all(there is a hurricane coming) and when we get her outside, all her hair stands up, she'll pee and run back to the door. She still hasn't pooped today.
