lexapro

Avatar f tn I take 10 mg of Lexapro and 50 mg of Lamictal every day, for depression and type 2 bipolar disorder. I have hand tremors. Is it possible that one or both medications are causing my hands to tremble?

409410 tn?1251072712 m off the paxil now and coming off trazadone and still have the tremors. I really think they are related to meds, and I'm not sure if it will even go away when I'm off of all meds (IF I can ever be off of all meds). Good luck.

Avatar m tn He had never jerked or twitched before the lexapro. EEG and neurologists turned up nothing wrong. The tremors and jerking usually start when he is tired, hungry or cold. Do you think your problem is related to having taken lexapro. Has it gone away?
Avatar n tn It works great for me with absolutely no side effects. My sister takes lexapro and swears by it but changed to paxil because Lexapro is so expensive and paxil is 4 dollars at walmart. Drink a lot of fluids to keep flushing your system is about all you can do. Sorry I do not have more to offer.
Avatar m tn My doc. put me on lexapro and it made me feel crazy, didn't help at all and I stopped it, then he tried Paxil and that did the same exact thing, Now I'm on Nortriptyline HCL 25mg, and my question is how long will it take for my depression and anxiety to go away? and at 25mg will it take away my anxiety and depresion, i started off on 10mg, now it's week 3 and I'm on 25mg.
Avatar f tn Still have anxiety and breakthrough panic attacks. He has given me the choice of lexapro or Zoloft. Since Celexa and lexapro are so similar, I'm concerned that the lexapro won't work given that the Celexa stopped working. On the other hand, he has warned me that Zoloft is more activating, which is not good for anxiety and panic. Thoughts? Advice? Similar experiences?
Avatar f tn now i just started the lexapro tuesday, and the shakes are getting better, but i dont know if it from the sub, not having the percs, or is it my anxiety. i have no clue. has this happen to anyone else?

Avatar n tn Blood pressure has been stable since Feb. 3rd due to increase dosage of Enalipril. On Jan. 15th, my doctor gave me Lexapro and new problems started. I took 10mg for the first 6 days then went to 5mg/day until Feb. 3rd. The reason for the change was because of severe side effects. Dizziness, tremors, jaw pain, loud ringing in ears, nausea were the main issues. Now being off the med for 13 days, and have been off of work since Feb. 3rd, I continue to have problems.
535882 tn?1396576685 anyone get headaches and or pulsing feeling in head on lexapro. did this go away. ?
Avatar f tn I recently switched drugs, and then went back on Lexapro, and again am more tired than usual. Have you tried taking it at night before you go to bed?
Avatar n tn m going through hell with withdrawals. I weigh 105 lbs, and would like to start taking Lexapro. How many mg should I start with? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I've been on Effexor XR for 3 weeks. One week at 37.5 , 2 weeks at 75 mg. I did take 112.5 for 1 day but went back to 75. My doc told me to increase to 112.5 when I told him it wasn't helping my anxiety and was making me shaky. Not sure why an increase would help, but he's the doctor. The increase made it all worse. These tremors are too much. He seems to think they will go away with time but I don't want to wait too much longer.
Avatar f tn I know we're all different. For the past 7 months I've been on Zoloft then switched to Lexapro. I don't know what to try next. I'm suffering and need on something.
Avatar f tn t aware of tremors even being a side effect of the drug. She looked it up, and apparently only about 10% of people who are on Zoloft have tremors. My question is, do you think it is related to the drug, as it's taken such a long time after being on the drug for them to really surface? I also notice shakiness if I am lying in bed in certain positions, which has never happened in the past either.
Avatar m tn What you experienced in the beginning was your body adjusting to the medication and is normal, and Antidepressants can cause tremors in our hands as well. I would contact your doctor again about the tremors in your hands because these won't go away so long as you're on this medication....he should know this! See what he has to say and if he still blows you off...find a psychiatrist for your medication...they are much more knowledgeable.
Avatar f tn d see your primary doctor to discuss this and they will most likely refer you to a neurologist. Twitches and anxiety happen but hand tremors seem more neurological. So, go talk to your doctor to get to the bottom of this. Let us know how it goes!

Avatar f tn On August 1st I came out of the hospital on 150 mg of Effexor and 600 mg of lithium and Seroquel at night just to sleep. And bad tremors.. Not even slight Tremors bad tremors. Anyway I went to a program right after and that doctor took me down to 112.5 milligrams of Effexor. That brought the Tremors down a little bit and then I decided to try to go down on the Effexor. This doctor at the program that I'm at right now against antidepressants but somehow she allowed me to try Lexapro.
Avatar m tn I took two lexapro 4 months ago and was diagnosed with an Extra Pyramidial Effect. I had bad muscle spasms and stuttering. I was put on benztropine which put the bad spasms and stuttering to a slower pace. I was taken off that medicine by my regualar doctor because of what it did to my eyesight. I only get mild ticks and spasms thruout the day and only stutter at times. I still have a constant shaking in my left hand which i did not have before.
Avatar m tn Research indicated that Lexapro can cause body shakes or tremors and I weaned off the Lexapro over a 6 week period. After 3 1/2 months of antibiotic treatment my blood levels were normal and the antibiotics were stopped. However the body shakes continued to get progressively worse. I feel there is a short circuit in my nervous system. I've had a CAT scan of my abdomen, chest and brain each showed no negative results.
7970489 tn?1395885877 A week after that i went to get a root canal and my panic increased sky high, all day and night. My heart rate was at 100 bpm on and off all day, minor tremors in my legs at night because of nervousness. I also lost 10 pounds because of the tooth pain and constant nervousness. Has anyone experienced this 24/7 because of withdrawal?
Avatar f tn I started taking Lexapro almost four months ago and since then I get burning sensations in my head. I worry that this could be something more serious and my doctors are not guiding me correctly. The sensations happened more frequently in the beginning, however they still find their way back on occasion. It is extrememly uncomfortable and scary. My psychistrist believes that it is anxiety, not from the Lexapro, but I am not sure that I agree.
Avatar f tn You should have had an instruction leaflet that came with the packet of the Lexapro that would explain all the side effects and what medications and medical conditions that are not suitable for taking the Laxapro. There are other types of antidepressants that may suit you better. Some antidepressants are better taken at night time, but I would suggest you do not take any more before you talk to your doctor about your reaction to these pills.
