Now it seems like I love it. My doctor put me on lexapro and I’ve started seeing a therapist but every time I talked about the thoughts she made me feel like she didn’t care. All I can do is admire other females now and my mind feels like I like it now and there’s no way out unless I accept my sexuality. 7 months ago I was obsessed with every boy I came in contact with but now they don’t amuse me. If anyone has advice please reply. I’m open to anything !
my sickly 17 yr old niece started talking to a girl in a male voice and fell in love with that girl but when she revealed the girl said she wil go along and be with with her and wait for sex change op. now the girl got a good job and she rejected by niece, so my niece not eating or studying cutting herself up and her mom to make her male. we i and my siter not working and doesn't have any means to do all that.

I think you've understood my inner feelings. Although I'm 27 I feel link an adolescent...it' just my first experiences,and I'm sure I have all the paranoic feelings that a teenager has.

Hi there. Well, let me just say this. We date for a reason. We are supposed to be looking at the other person critically and deciding if the relationship should go long term or not. This man has a different level of sexual libido than you do. Tired and neck pain and stress ---- those things are off and on for life. So, I'd imagine this is him. This is what it would be like long term.
So often, there is a difference between the sexual needs between partners.
Some people are into quite unusual stuff, which is fine as long as their partner is into it too. As new partners, and husband and wife, it is bound to take some time as you explore what each of you like to find out what works best for both of you - particularly since you currently have no experience, and (for all I know) he may or may not also be inexperienced.
For this reason, don't put too much expectation on the first time.
No disrespect, but this is one of the more absurd questions I have read. You are on an anti-depressant (lexapro) and consuming alcohol, a CNS depressant, AND taking another mind-numbing substance (Vicodin). You should be taking Lexapro ONLY to deal with depression or whatever reason you are taking it. Both other meds are contraindicated for Lexapro. Smarten up.
Equivalencies are generalizations, and you are an individual. Besides, Pristiq is a different class of drug than Lexapro. Lexapro is an ssri while Pristiq is an snri. And if it were me, which it isn't, I'd start at a low dosage and work my way up on any medication so I could see how bad the side effects were and the lowest dosage at which it works is.
Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee

A HUGE part of OCD is doubt doubt doubt. I keep doubt every single day of my sexuality and it causes me so much distress. People aren't disgusted by their sexuality. Remember: gay people fear the outcome of coming out not their attraction.

As part of my treatment for trying to uncover why I have tachycardia, I had to see a psychiatrist, who has prescribed me Xanax (extended release - once daily) and Lexapro b/c he believes i suffer from generalized anxiety and possible depression.
Does anyone on this board (with heart rhythm issues) have success stories from these drugs that you could share with me?
I was taking lexapro and felt it was doing fairly well. Recently I had surgery and this doctor changed the lexapro to a paxil and buspar. At first I felt fine but now three weeks of the new meds and I am tired all of the time and very down. I have a medical condition that I have to take several meds for ex: fentora, oxyliquid, fentanel patch. perscribed through a pain management doctor. There is not much follow up with the new medicine and I wonder if all of this is good.

Your doctor prescribed you a common regimen. The Lexapro is an SSRI antidepressant that will take some time to become effective (typically 4-6 weeks, sometimes up to 8 weeks, especially when starting on a low dose as you are).
The Xanax is a benzodiazepine, anti-anxiety medication that is being Rx'ed to treat the symptoms of anxiety while you're adjusting to the Lexapro, and waiting for it to become effective in reducing your anxiety.
if your main symptom is palpitations, then a beta blocker might be more appropriate than Lexapro. But if you had a lot of problems and most have gone away, then stick with the Lexapro -- drugs don't cure, they just mitigate the symptoms. You'll always have symptoms unless you find a cure through some kind of therapy work.
There is nothing wrong with being gay or fantasizing about other men. If my sons were gay, it wouldn't bother me at all.
Having intrusive thoughts is a different thing. You said you tried masturbating while thinking about men and now feel worse. Maybe you were just experimenting with your sexuality. Have you ever thought you might be gay but fear the social stigma attached to it - like really thought about it.
