lexapro

684726 tn?1228485621 The Vitamins made me very jittery and anxious and I even stopped the L-tyrosine and just took One vitamin b suppliment and the same result. So I stopped the vitamins for now and no jitters or anxiety. I still have Sam-e at my home which is supposed to be a mood booster. What exactly IS this stuff? And what is L-THEANINE, I heard it works wonders. I DO have energy and motivation, But its not where I want it to be. Or should I just chill out and not take anything??? Is it even worth it to do it?
Avatar f tn Lexapro often needs 4 to 6 weeks to fully kick in. You mention that you've been on it for six weeks with four weeks at 20mg. What was the dosage for the other two weeks?
Avatar f tn Well it did. A lot! I stopped having panic attacks and overpowering thoughts. Then I felt like I could handle anything and stupidly went off of it. Now I'm back on it because the attacks are back and we're trying to figure out what dose works best. It takes about a week or 2 to kick in.
Avatar f tn I have been on Effexor 75 mg. for a couple of months and still get the jitters, especially upon awakening and afternoon. Should med be upped or try something different. I started tapering down and things were fine so I reinstated 75 mg. Jitters are back. Do I need more med for residual anxiety or a different med?
Avatar f tn yes they marked it as allergy and prescribed me paxil but i have yet to take it due to the fear of feeling anything like i am. I've never had this bad of anxiety before it used to be just in large group setting and now it seem like I can not deal with my regular day to day tasks.
494087 tn?1257793207 hi I have been on Lexapro and klonopin for a few years now and the mix works quire well. But let me tell ya, coming off Lexapro can be one heck of a nickmare.
Avatar m tn She told me they use it sometimes to check and see if you become manic to diagnose bi polar. It looks like extreme jitters and anxiety and constant energy and insomnia when you are on it and manic. So, you'll probably want another anti depressant like wellbutrin or something because it may be contributing to the bi polar at least the mania side of it. I don't know anything about Nuvigil. I'm sorry. I wish I did. And, I know what you mean about the Seroquel.
Avatar n tn You have to stand up and say, hey, there is something wrong with me. These are my symptoms and I have researched it to find out that this could be the problem. I check every med they put me on and the side effects they could have when combined with this or that. I am not blaming you but you have to assist them. You may not be a doctor, I am not either but I am the one going through what I am going through and I challenge any dr that wants to do a med change. Never again.
Avatar m tn it was said 5-years ago i had depression and panic attacks, ive been on paxil, effexxor, lexapro, cymbalta, triptolines, all of the new ones and some old, now ive been switched to prozac 20mg. can anyone tell me anything good about prozac?
Avatar f tn ve JUST started the Lexapro, and what you describe (feeling like you drank a lot of coffee) is a very very common side effect. Most people report that the side effects start to improve after about a week or two. Unfortunately, one often has to feel a little worse first, before feeling better. I think adding the Elavil is way premature, being that you're still adjusting to the Lexapro.
Avatar m tn I've searched the web and here and no really good answer. I'm taking a Sonata about 3 or 4 oclock in the morning. It does cause some jitters next day. Now I've started Sam-e and a Super Beta Complex and the Jitters are unbearable. I take some Xanax and it helps some. I can't take much and still function. The question is ... Is it the Sam-e or the Super B Complex causing the extreme jitters or anxiety?
Avatar f tn So I was taking Paxil for the past 2 years at very low doses.. Weaned myself off, but after two weeks off it decided it wasn't the right time and went back to it due to reemerging anxiety and depression. When I reinstated it at a very low dose I got a bad reaction, I felt horrible increased anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation(for the first time in my life) and burning sensations on my scalp and hands.
Avatar n tn Omg me too i daydream about her so much...her little mouth her little feet her little face and then i look at her clothes and stuff and get sooo anxious ...but before we even kno it they'll be here i keep telling myself that. Patience!
Avatar f tn I'm nearly 34 weeks and it still hasn't sunk in! I'm excited and scared as I'm miles from family and friends and my partner works long hours.
Avatar f tn i have jitters in my stomach and cant stand to be closed up in a room or alone and my breathing is heavy what do i do?
11388046 tn?1418563221 I was on Zoloft for several years for anxiety and it worked wonders. I tapered off and after a few months felt that I needed to go back on it. My doctor started me on 50 mg and I felt some side effects, difficulty staying asleep, restlessness, jittery/tingly feeling. After about a week these side effects stopped and I started feeling better. Wednesday my doctor upped my dose to 75 mg. It is not Sunday morning and I have not really slept since Tuesday night before I upped my dose.
Avatar f tn m doing ok but am getting brain zaps and jitters. It kind of freaks me out a bit and then I worry that my anxiety is coming back (although I'm pretty sure it's just the side effects of reduced dose). Has anyone out there had successful tapering off? How long did your symptoms last?
Avatar f tn ) We are all here for you and care about you alot! Keep ur chin up and keep on keppin on.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been having problems with acid reflux(severe) and tension headaches (over ten years) my doctor figured it to be caused by anxiety, I had panic attacks but could deal with them. He put me on Lexapro 5mg and by the second dose had insomnia, panic attacks, rapid heart beat, so he lowered my dose to 2.5mg that was fine for 10 days and all of the sudden it was like the first few days but worse because I also couldn't eat, I went off of it.
499178 tn?1210003841 I dont want to become depenent on Xanax, I have the tremors (which Lexapro made worse and I understand so does Paxil) Any suggestions? This is a ***** of a problem!!!
Avatar m tn 25, to take for the tremors and rising pains which releaved any jitters or chest pain immediately. I have taken, and still only take one pill a day, two if absolutely needed but haven't in over two weeks since starting xanax. Once a day seems right as I get jittery mainly at night. A month later, I was laying in bed and had a sharp pain in my chest area nearly sent me through the roof.
Avatar f tn If the tests are suggestive of sleep apnea the treatment in the form of supplemental oxygen and drugs like acetazolamide and theophylline against prescription are promising. I suggest you to consult sleep specialist for further evaluation and treatment accordingly. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn SOme of these medicines just make you feel that way. My dr put me on lexapro and in 3 days I was so agitated, I came off of it.

689327 tn?1240229164 In the past yr I have been on celexa, lexapro , Zoloft and now back on lexapro because the 200 mg of Zoloft was making me shakey. None of these AD's seem to work aty anxiety and depression. The only slight relief I get is from klonopin, which I have been on for a yr also (low dose .25mg 3x's a day. My podcast keeps telling me to be patient because it takes time for these mess to work .
Avatar n tn No disrespect, but this is one of the more absurd questions I have read. You are on an anti-depressant (lexapro) and consuming alcohol, a CNS depressant, AND taking another mind-numbing substance (Vicodin). You should be taking Lexapro ONLY to deal with depression or whatever reason you are taking it. Both other meds are contraindicated for Lexapro. Smarten up.
Avatar m tn Equivalencies are generalizations, and you are an individual. Besides, Pristiq is a different class of drug than Lexapro. Lexapro is an ssri while Pristiq is an snri. And if it were me, which it isn't, I'd start at a low dosage and work my way up on any medication so I could see how bad the side effects were and the lowest dosage at which it works is.
Avatar n tn Is lexapro and xanax the same? If not, what is the difference and does the lexapro make you feel the same as xanax do??
Avatar n tn Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
