levoxyl nausea

I've been taking 150 levoxyl for 9 months for hashimoto's hypothyroidism and have been stable with thyroid tests. Now my FT4/FT3 indicated hyperthyroidism. What could have caused this change?

I am hearing positive things about levoxyl (brand). I am currently on a compound and i have been on it for about 8 weeks now. My numbers are getting pretty bad and the doctor says the compound is not right for me. My last full test showed that my tsh was at 65. The ft3 was 1.3 (range 2.3 to 3.9) and my ft4 was .4 (range .8 to 1.8) currently my tsh is at 115 but i do not know my frees right now. they are suggesting moving me from a compound of 150 to a levoxyl of 175.

I have been all over the board with meds... I am currently at 200 Levoxyl (which is btw the largest dose, both on Synthroid and Levoxyl, I've been on thus far) and starting to feel a little better (Synthroid sucked for me). I'm a titch on the hyper side right now, but the labs were run b4 the switch to Levoxyl. I'm waiting to take the half dose on Sundays as directed by my endo's nurse, because I want to see if the Levoxyl and Syntrhoid are comparable dosage wise for me.

And was taking levoxyl for it. Been taking this med for about 1 yr now. I have been suffering from dizzyness, nausious, havnt been able to ride in months. So i told the doc. He said it may be side effects from the levoxyl, so he put me on synthoid. I have had inner ear problems in the past.Dont know if its the meds or could be inner ear prob. causing the dizzyness and nasious spells. Does anyone else feel this way??? Does thyroid prob. cause inner ear prob. or extreme dizzyness??

112 from 0.125 3 months ago, Since then everytime I took multivitamin(dinner time)I felt nausea right away,terrible feeling of throwing up food,just like morning sickness when pregnant. Could this be caused by synthroid? or something else. Anyone experienced same thing?

Around the same time I started having GI upset which has progressively gotten worse. I have excruciating abdominal pains, nausea, vomiting, sometimes associated with meals but not always. Sometimes it just happens for absolutely no reason. It takes up to one hour for a "mild" attack to get better and lasts sometimes up to 6-8 hours ending with dry heaves and awful pain.

Hi, My Doctor started me with Levoxyl at 50 mcg (he said at this dose it had no additional fillers - he was concerned that I was reacting to fillers which is odd as he had me on 50 mcgs of Tirosint prior and pulled me off because he thought I was reacting to Tirosint (my skin was peeling). Interestingly he tried 75 mcg of synthroid (which I do have hay fever so that didn't work) and said I really needed 75 mcgs but I guess he wanted to see how well I would tolerate the levoxyl.

Medically, the switch from Tirosint to Levoxyl was totally painless, though I did go from 88 mcg to 100 mcg, but I was ready to do that on Tirosint, as well. I feel as good, or better, than I did on Tirosint. The best part is that my wallet loves the price difference. I just picked up my refill yesterday, so I'm good to go for another 90 days.

I have been back on Levoxyl after being off it for 8 months.I felt good at first but going in to my third week -not so good.I feel very tired,legs are wobbly and like jelly at times.I just feel blah and like passing out at times.Is it possible the dose is too high?My doctor put me on 88 mcg when I was previously on 75.tsh was over 26 but I hear it corrects pretty qiuickly when back on meds.Any input would be appreciated.

After the RAI I felt great for a few months. When the doctor put me on Levoxyl, after I supposedly went a LITTLE hypo, I started feeling like ****. I have more anxiety, can't sleep and my heart gets pumped up easily. I get out of breath real easy too. I think my heart is affected and I have chest pains. I feel sick and nauseated all the time and have to go lay down even at work, so I'll eventually lose my job if something isn't done.

In 2005 I had the right side of my thyroid removed. I've been on Levoxyl 75mcg. since that time and recently was put on Cytomel .5mgc twice a day. What would result if I had to stop taking them? Thank you kindly for your information.

I am currently taking 25mgs of levoxyl and everytime I take the pill i get a racing heartbeat and heart palpitations. I have called my doctor and the nurse there told me to take the pill every other day. i tried that but then I would get the palpitations on the days I would take it. Then I called back after a week and was told to take it every 3 days. I stopped for 3 days to get some of it out of my system and felt great. Not as many palpitations and i was able to sleep.

I will probably either go back to taking my Nutri Thyroid at an increased dose or try Levoxyl. Has anybody got any experience with this drug or Evotrox Liquid ?? Okay, after all of my issues with my teeth hurting, dry mouth, TSH not budging, my doc called me today and suggested I switch from Levoxyl to Synthroid. What kind of side effects am I looking at? The dosage is the same. I've always taken Levoxyl, for 14 years. Now, after the thyroidectomy I'm just having minor issues like no saliva! Doc doesn't think it's related to the meds but he's willing to switch me to see if it makes a difference.

I was one Levoxyl for almost a year and was inconsistent with the dose and started to lose hair and got dry skin. Instead of just taking the 25 again I was told to take the 50 mcg everyday. I knew it was too much but my GP said everyday. My gut said no more than twice a week and I should of listened after only being consistent again with 25 mcg Levoxyl for 6 weeks and know how sensitive I am to meds in general. Please always listen to your gut!!!

Based on my blood test result my doctor made a derision regarding my thyroid gland, and Levoxyl 0,05 mg was prescribed, My questions: 1. Which blood test parameters are telling that I have to start/stop taking Levoxyl? 2. Can I replace Levoxyl with natural products (some diet, using the iodized salt, etc.) ? Many thanks!

t know my T4 or T3. I was prescribed a starting dose of Levoxyl of .75 mcg. Prior to this medication (over the course of many months) I suffered increasing fatigue, anxiety, subtle but consistent nausea, night sweats, aches & pains, insomnia, pain in the hip, muscle cramps (legs & feet) 3 ear infections & 2 sinus infections (over the course of 1.5 yrs) and tingling sensations.

OK, I GAINED 15 LBS IN THE PAST THREE MONTHS, I AM CURRENTLY ON LEVOXYL 100 MCG AND BEGAN TAKING TWO 5 MCG CYTOMELS TWICE DAILY YESTERDAY. I GOT BLOOD WORK DONE YESTERDAY AND HERE WE MY RESULTS, OH MY IS MY THE LOW! TSH, 3RD GENERATION: 0.94 T4 FREE, 1.3 T3 TOTAL, 98 LOOKS LIKE I NEED A HIGHER DOSE LEVOXYL? I CAN'T AFFORD TO GAIN ANYMORE WEIGHT!

How is levoxyl for anyone taking it. I am prone to anxiety before my diagnosis is there any advice you can give me.

Did you start on the meds right after your TT? It does take a while for them to get in your system and start to work. The symptoms that you're having point to being hypo. If the nausea gets too bad, you can get anti-nausea meds to help while you're trying to get your levels in check. Being hypo is an awful feeling. There are a host of symptoms.....none of them very much fun. Give it some time, and you'll feel a lot better. Meanwhile, keep posting.
