Levoxyl missed dose

Common Questions and Answers about Levoxyl missed dose

synthroid

Avatar f tn How are you taking the cytomel? All at once or splitting it into multiple doses each day? Most of us taking a T3 med, find that we have to split the dose, at least into 2 doses/day...... For instance, I take 7.5 mcg (generic T3) and I take 5 mcg in the morning and 2.5 mcg around noon. Even though it's a small dose, if I take it all at once, I get hit with a "high", then crash really bad, later in the day. Both your FT3 and FT4 have room to come up.
Avatar n tn If you take a T4 AND T3 as a combined supplement, THEN it can make you a bit skew-iff by taking double dose the next day if you missed the previous day. It is the T3 which needs to be a daily dose which can cause you issues if you double up. Otherwise it is totally safe to double up the next day on your normal T4 meds.
Avatar n tn I have been back on Levoxyl after being off it for 8 months.I felt good at first but going in to my third week -not so good.I feel very tired, legs are wobbly and like jelly at times.I just feel blah and like passing out at times. Is it possible the dose is too high?My doctor put me on 88 mcg when I was previously on 75.tsh was over 26 but I hear it corrects pretty qiuickly when back on meds.Any input would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I will probably either go back to taking my Nutri Thyroid at an increased dose or try Levoxyl. Has anybody got any experience with this drug or Evotrox Liquid ?? Thanks for any help and advice you can give me. AquarianGlory This discussion is related to Levothyroid and mood swings.
Avatar m tn I am on Tecfidera 240 mg dose. It just occurred to me I missed the morning dose. I have a call into the specialty pharmacy for direction. I didn't find much on the web except "take it as soon as you remember and if close to your next dose take it then but don't double up". This is the first time I missed since starting therapy last month. I feel terrible. Is this incredibly bad?
427555 tn?1267553158 If someone missed synthroid for 4 days, is it ok to take all the missed doses together? A friend went away and forgot their synthroid medication at home.
Avatar f tn Do I still take the ribavirin pills since I missed the dose? After 4 weeks I was tested and no virus was showing so I am worried that this is going to be a set back. I am anemic as well. Just need to know what to do??? Hep clinic closed for weekend as is doc office and pharmacist had no clue. Anyone been through this?
Avatar f tn Your thyroid levels were fine and if you added the cytomel to the 100mcg of levoxyl, the TSH will likely be too low (ie, too much medication) and if you stay on cytomel, the levoxyl dose would need to be changed most likely. The weight gain is not likely due to thyroid.
Avatar f tn t know why I let her talk me into trying the Levoxyl. She suggested that I add the Armour (although a pretty low dose) and see if it helps me feel better. I've not heard of anyone trying this before so was kind of worried. I guess I'll give it a shot, it can't be worse. Thank you so much for answering me. I appreciate your time.
535882 tn?1396576685 how does the doc. determine the right dose.. is it all weight.. ex. im a 244 pound man on 175 syntroid. levothroxine.. how do i know what the correct dose should be. going baclk foer adjustment soon., this is too low.
Avatar m tn She ordered and EKG and and echocardiogram--normal, of course, cuz I was at rest. I asked her to lower my dose, but instead she switched me to the same dose of Levoxyl. That did it. My dose was increased since then with no problems. I am not lactose-intolerant, and I have no idea what was in the Synthroid that sent my heart into arrythmia, but I have not had a problem since switching to Levoxyl. I've been on 100 mcg of Levoxyl for over 10 yrs now.
Avatar f tn It states on the Levoxyl drug website that: In patients with severe hypothyroidism, the recommended initial levothyroxine sodium dose is 12.5-25 mcg/day with increases of 25 mcg/day every 2-4 weeks, accompanied by clinical and laboratory assessment, until the TSH level is normalized. Does anyone know why? could i be considered "severe hypothyroidism" with TSH of 102 and Free T4 .17? If so, why would my doc want me to start with 88mcg - 100mcg?
Avatar f tn I am currently taking 25mgs of levoxyl and everytime I take the pill i get a racing heartbeat and heart palpitations. I have called my doctor and the nurse there told me to take the pill every other day. i tried that but then I would get the palpitations on the days I would take it. Then I called back after a week and was told to take it every 3 days. I stopped for 3 days to get some of it out of my system and felt great. Not as many palpitations and i was able to sleep.
Avatar n tn s the backstory. TT 11/14, RAI 1/15. Started on Levoxyl 150, then Tiro, Naturethroid for a long stint and then after feeling skinny yet too hyper, decided to return to Levoxyl 125 and 5 Cytomel 1/16. I've been wanting to see if I can convert T3 alone so I dropped the Cytomel mid-February and raised my Tiro to 137 early March. End of March they raised it to 150 and I've been inquiring with friends when they noticed a drop in my energy.

5946397 tn?1391451733 Hi Everyone. I have to switch to new thyroid med from Levoxyl. I am on 137 mcg Levoxyl, but having some hyperT symptoms: jittery, difficulty sleeping, heart palps, BP went up to high normal, etc. Doctor just prescribed 125 mcg TIROSENT. I am wondering if this dose might still be too high for me at this time. I have not yet started on it. Any thoughts? (Thanks!
616450 tn?1228433627 After the RAI I felt great for a few months. When the doctor put me on Levoxyl, after I supposedly went a LITTLE hypo, I started feeling like ****. I have more anxiety, can't sleep and my heart gets pumped up easily. I get out of breath real easy too. I think my heart is affected and I have chest pains. I feel sick and nauseated all the time and have to go lay down even at work, so I'll eventually lose my job if something isn't done.
486801 tn?1288932560 Doubt this is T2DM. The dose fluctuation in levoxyl may be the cause -- dropping from 125 to 88 -- check with your doctor to make sure they were not thinking you were still on 100mcg when they suggested to decrease to 88.... Sweating after a meal is not a typical thyroid related problem but may be related to the dose change.
Avatar n tn Previous to that Leoxyl 150mcg for 3mo. Been going from dose to dose for last 2 years. I am still tired, cold feet, cold hands, moody, puffy, depressed, just to name a few. Considering Armour?. Is there a possible this could do the trick or should I stay with levoxyl? All my test show "normal" so of course the Dr. is comfortable with what I am on., but I AM NOT NORMAL. Any suggestions? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
537843 tn?1213664232 So your TSH was maybe 70 or 80 before you started taking Levoxyl. Were you started on a high dose? How long have you been taking 200mcg? I have been there. I have had my TSH drop 40 points in a week after getting on the right dose of meds. But I went from post RAI no meds straight to 100mcg, which is what my body wanted. Within six weeks my TSH was between 1.0 and 2.0. That's why I said you may need a dosage increase.
Avatar n tn I have hypothyroid and my blood work came back as .125 it was .3 I missed about 2 weeks of medicine because my doc wouldnt fill my pascription untill I had blood work done he said I could go 3 weeks without a pill and I would be fine?? but yet my blood work says otherwise.
