Avatar n tn m so afraid of the dizziness. I have the dizziness when sitting standing laying down, it feels like rocking on a boat and off balance thru my body not just my head. I have bppv 5 yrs ago so I don't know if that's it either. If anyone can help I would be very.
Avatar f tn I was just curious about taking generic Levoxyl. I have been reading that taking the generic may not keep your levels accurate since none of the generics have the same potency. I have been having weird symptoms that i believe are related to taking the generic form of Levoxyl. Like heart racing, dizziness, shortness of breath, itching, irritability. Has any one else had any issues with this?
Avatar n tn Hi I've been having alot of problems. I'e been hypo since 2000 and did faily well for many years, unitl menopause hit about 5 years ago and things got bad, then I had vertigo attack also and was treated for that. In july of this years the dizziness came back and is stil with me, its like a rocking sensation and i feel off balance wether i'm sitting, standing, walking, laying down. Its there, so days ok, but mostly causing me awful anxiety.
314892 tn?1264623903 I was retested after about 8 weeks on 50 and low and behold, my TSH shot up from 1.4 to 5.1 !!Now I am on 75 mcg Levoxyl (instead of Synthroid) and I still do not feel well. In fact I feel like I did several months ago when my TSH was bouncing between 3.7 and 5.96. I have increased hair loss, dizziness, muscle twitches, fatigue and last night my left arm was asleep repeatedly during the night. (This last thing hasn't happened since last fall when the TSH was over 2.
Avatar f tn And was taking levoxyl for it. Been taking this med for about 1 yr now. I have been suffering from dizzyness, nausious, havnt been able to ride in months. So i told the doc. He said it may be side effects from the levoxyl, so he put me on synthoid. I have had inner ear problems in the past.Dont know if its the meds or could be inner ear prob. causing the dizzyness and nasious spells. Does anyone else feel this way??? Does thyroid prob. cause inner ear prob. or extreme dizzyness??
727481 tn?1231203771 I had radioactive treament due to Graves Disease, and six months later my thyroid was declared dead. I was put on levothyroxin, synthroid and now levoxyl, but 3 months later I still feel awful. My symptoms are high blood pressure, constant trembling, feeling like I have the flu, dizziness, insomnia. My last blood test showed a TSH at 3.21, Free T4 at 1.0 and Free T3 at 3.1.
Avatar f tn Hi, My Doctor started me with Levoxyl at 50 mcg (he said at this dose it had no additional fillers - he was concerned that I was reacting to fillers which is odd as he had me on 50 mcgs of Tirosint prior and pulled me off because he thought I was reacting to Tirosint (my skin was peeling). Interestingly he tried 75 mcg of synthroid (which I do have hay fever so that didn't work) and said I really needed 75 mcgs but I guess he wanted to see how well I would tolerate the levoxyl.
Avatar n tn First medication tried was .75 of Synthroid, then generics, Cytomel, Armour. Currently on .25 Levoxyl on 4 times per week. Was thinking about switching back to Synthroid at a lower dosage - would this make sense? Has anyone else had bad side effects with meds, and then felt better on Synthroid? I just don't feel right, I don't feel well and I don' t know what to do. Any suggestions? I just want to FEEL BETTER. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I did a little research and found that the dizziness could be an allergic reaction to the levoxyl. Im going to report that to him as soon as i can. Ive started doing a mile a day...when i feel up to it. I think I will start taking my prenatals again. Thanks for the encouragement and the advice, its much needed and very appriceated.
Avatar m tn Also pretty much begged for a free T3 On this first 112mg dose I felt VERY jittery anxious and horrible again. Was put on 125mg Levoxyl 6/10/16 1st week on 125 mg Levoxyl felt heart palps and anxiety flutter and did not feel good , but second week actually felt ok as far as my heart palps and racing. That week or so did not last long and now heart palp, extreme anxiety etc are back. Do I need more T4? Or do I need more T3? Could a lower end T3 be causing all this?
Avatar n tn Hi, As I understand it, levothyroxine can cause dizziness correct? I have been on levoxyl for some time, but experienced two extreme dizziness episodes in Jan and March 09 while teaching! Had to go home both times. Very strange kind of dizziness--just a closed in feeling, tunnel vision and plain ready to pass out any moment. Had a carotid ultrasound by Primary Doc and found nothing except my goiter had enlarged--translated into a TT in July and papillary carcinoma T2 diagnosis.
509437 tn?1210909765 Hello everyone, I am new here. I had a total thyroidectomy on December 6, 2007. I was fine the first 2 weeks after surgery and actually had energy like I never had before. But then my TSH started to drop and I was going hypo and thus my doctor started me on Synthroid. That very first week of taking it I started with being dizzy. I questioned my doctor, my surgeon, my pharmacist.
Avatar n tn Medically, the switch from Tirosint to Levoxyl was totally painless, though I did go from 88 mcg to 100 mcg, but I was ready to do that on Tirosint, as well. I feel as good, or better, than I did on Tirosint. The best part is that my wallet loves the price difference. I just picked up my refill yesterday, so I'm good to go for another 90 days.
Avatar n tn I have been back on Levoxyl after being off it for 8 months.I felt good at first but going in to my third week -not so good.I feel very tired, legs are wobbly and like jelly at times.I just feel blah and like passing out at times. Is it possible the dose is too high?My doctor put me on 88 mcg when I was previously on 75.tsh was over 26 but I hear it corrects pretty qiuickly when back on meds.Any input would be appreciated.
1139187 tn?1355706647 I am hearing positive things about levoxyl (brand). I am currently on a compound and i have been on it for about 8 weeks now. My numbers are getting pretty bad and the doctor says the compound is not right for me. My last full test showed that my tsh was at 65. The ft3 was 1.3 (range 2.3 to 3.9) and my ft4 was .4 (range .8 to 1.8) currently my tsh is at 115 but i do not know my frees right now. they are suggesting moving me from a compound of 150 to a levoxyl of 175.
616450 tn?1228433627 After the RAI I felt great for a few months. When the doctor put me on Levoxyl, after I supposedly went a LITTLE hypo, I started feeling like ****. I have more anxiety, can't sleep and my heart gets pumped up easily. I get out of breath real easy too. I think my heart is affected and I have chest pains. I feel sick and nauseated all the time and have to go lay down even at work, so I'll eventually lose my job if something isn't done.
Avatar f tn In 2005 I had the right side of my thyroid removed. I've been on Levoxyl 75mcg. since that time and recently was put on Cytomel .5mgc twice a day. What would result if I had to stop taking them? Thank you kindly for your information.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking 25mgs of levoxyl and everytime I take the pill i get a racing heartbeat and heart palpitations. I have called my doctor and the nurse there told me to take the pill every other day. i tried that but then I would get the palpitations on the days I would take it. Then I called back after a week and was told to take it every 3 days. I stopped for 3 days to get some of it out of my system and felt great. Not as many palpitations and i was able to sleep.
Avatar f tn I will probably either go back to taking my Nutri Thyroid at an increased dose or try Levoxyl. Has anybody got any experience with this drug or Evotrox Liquid ?? Thanks for any help and advice you can give me. AquarianGlory This discussion is related to Levothyroid and mood swings.
Avatar m tn Some people do great on Synthroid. I am one who did not. I have been on Levothyroxine (and am now currently), went to Synthroid then Levoxyl then back to Levothyroxine. Mine is kind of a convoluted story as I'd never been on meds prior to my TT last year. My doc started me on a combo of Levo and Cytomel post TT. I was a little jittery on the combo, so I went to Synthroid only to try and convert my own T3... I absolutely hated it.
Avatar f tn I have been over-medicated for 1 year on Levoxyl 125 mcg. Prior to that, 4 years undermedicated on 112's. My question is: How long will it take to come down from overmedication and what to expect for symptoms? I had a horrendous reaction to fall pollens this fall, fluid in ears and vertigo dizziness. They have been calmed down for 2 weeks now. I stopped medication for 3 days Oct. 12, 2011. Resumed on a lowered dose--125 six days and 62.5 mcg. 1 day. It was still too much for me.
Avatar f tn Based on my blood test result my doctor made a derision regarding my thyroid gland, and Levoxyl 0,05 mg was prescribed, My questions: 1. Which blood test parameters are telling that I have to start/stop taking Levoxyl? 2. Can I replace Levoxyl with natural products (some diet, using the iodized salt, etc.) ? Many thanks!
Avatar f tn OK, I GAINED 15 LBS IN THE PAST THREE MONTHS, I AM CURRENTLY ON LEVOXYL 100 MCG AND BEGAN TAKING TWO 5 MCG CYTOMELS TWICE DAILY YESTERDAY. I GOT BLOOD WORK DONE YESTERDAY AND HERE WE MY RESULTS, OH MY IS MY THE LOW! TSH, 3RD GENERATION: 0.94 T4 FREE, 1.3 T3 TOTAL, 98 LOOKS LIKE I NEED A HIGHER DOSE LEVOXYL? I CAN'T AFFORD TO GAIN ANYMORE WEIGHT!
