Common Questions and Answers about Levora birth control pill side effects

levora

Avatar f tn Yes, take a test to be sure. I am not familiar with that type of birth control or the side effects but taking a test is vital if there's a possibility you could be pregnant. Please do so to be sure -- there are so many women who want children out there and can't have them and it would be a shame if you were pregnant but the birth control harmed your unborn child.
Avatar f tn I am not ready for a hysterectomy/ooverectomy yet. Is there a birth control pill out there with fewer side effects for depression. I take Effexor XR 225mg daily. I will start a Intensive Out-patient Program this week for depression.

Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar f tn t been on any sort of birth control for a good six months now and my period is still super irregular. I've been skipping whole months. Sometimes it'll come on the 30th day of my cycle, sometimes they'll come 7 weeks apart, etc. It's impossible to track. I've talked to my doctor and they said unfortunately they can't put me on any sort of birth control that will regulate my period without running the increased risk of blood clotting.
Avatar f tn m not sure about this but i just went to the clinic and got switched back onto my old birth control today in hopes that my anxiety will go away. about six or seven months ago i stopped taking yasmin because i just didn't feel like dealing with having to rememeber to take a pill everyday....(lazy i know).
Avatar f tn re not planning to be sexually active . Before you decide to go on birth control pills, you might consider googling possible side effects of birth control pills. You will find that birth control pills are associated with some pretty dangerous conditions. I used to take birth control pills myself when I was younger. Then my dad had a stroke. This actually opened up my eyes. This is when I decided to read the information pamphlet that comes with each pack of birth control pills very carefully.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
Avatar f tn What is your favorite birth control ? Least favorite ? Ugly side effects ? Ill be 26 weeks in a few days and wanna start thinking about if i want to take BC and whst kind i want.

1067212 tn?1353960402 I'm not anymore. I didn't like the side effects. every women is different tho so you may have a positive experience with them. It took about 6 months before i started noticing the side effects such as my moodiness so just keep an eye out. other than that, it was wonderful. It cant hurt for you to try it. And if you dont seem to like it, i would recommend going back to the pill and maybe setting an alarm on your phone.
Avatar f tn The only birth control ive ever taken was the pill and it made me sick alot. Honestly the right birth control depends on the person. For example if they can go get the show every three months or if they are good with taking a pill every day. Its all aboit what you are comfortable with.
5946774 tn?1389187935 It is non hormonal, so you do not get the hormonal side effects of other IUDS, and the only side effect that I personally had was cramping the first two weeks it was in, because my body was getting used to it. Avatar f tn Plan B is not mean to be used as regular birth control because the dose is far higher than the regular birth control pill and therefore a far greater risk of side effects. It was never meant to be used regularly, just in case of emergency like broken condom, hence why they call it Emergency contraception. There are many different birth control options such as the birth control pill, patch, ring, IUD, Depo shot. I've used the pill for over 15 years with no lasting issues.
Avatar f tn I liked the nuvaring. It didn't give me any crazy side effects that the pill did. Bit if you're looking for something long term an IUD may be your best bet, aside from sterilization but that's permanent.
Avatar f tn 18, with boyfriend... Looking for a really reliable birth control pill with relatively few side effects.... Any ideas?
1019152 tn?1336074292 I have taken Yasmin for years and have never had any side effects from it. I went off the pill last year and just had a baby in December. Now I am going to start taking the pill again but realized that Syeda is the generic of Yasmin. I was wondering if your daughter had any side effects from Syeda that I should be aware of before I start taking this drug?
11195379 tn?1427921527 I personally loved taking Seasonal birth control pill. I'd like to go back on the pill because it's easier and quicker to get pregnant again after, where as the shot and iud can take up to 5 years. People need to be aware of blood clotting issues before going on any type of BC and aware of side effects and report them immediately to avoid strokes and other issues. Also, the issue is with newer brands rather than those that have been around for years.
Avatar f tn In average it takes a 4-6 months to get pregnant after birth control. Though being on BC that long could cause weird side effects. If your cycle is not regular I would go to your doctor and get that figured out.
Avatar n tn Birth control pills are generally safe and considered a good option for many women to prevent pregnancy. There are different types and working with your doctor to find the best one is the thing to do. This is between you and your doctor but it is untrue that taking birth control pills 'has side effects on your whole reproductive system" unless you consider it doing what it is supposed to while taking it, preventing pregnancy.
