Common Questions and Answers about Levora birth control

levora

Avatar f tn I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
Avatar f tn In May 2007, I started taking Levora birth control pills on a continuous basis to avoid normal menstrual cycles. I stopped taking them in March 2008 to see if they had helped stop the endometriosis for good. It didn't work, so my Gyn re-prescribed Levora 3 weeks ago. Within a few days of taking Levora again I noticed that I was much more mentally vulnerable and by the third week on Levora I was completely destroyed emotionally and mentally.
Avatar f tn A lot of antibiotics cause birth control to be ineffective.
Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar f tn t been on any sort of birth control for a good six months now and my period is still super irregular. I've been skipping whole months. Sometimes it'll come on the 30th day of my cycle, sometimes they'll come 7 weeks apart, etc. It's impossible to track. I've talked to my doctor and they said unfortunately they can't put me on any sort of birth control that will regulate my period without running the increased risk of blood clotting.
Avatar f tn m not sure about this but i just went to the clinic and got switched back onto my old birth control today in hopes that my anxiety will go away. about six or seven months ago i stopped taking yasmin because i just didn't feel like dealing with having to rememeber to take a pill everyday....(lazy i know).
Avatar n tn I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
Avatar m tn so for the past 6 months i've been on levora, a birth control. the past couple of months i've been having aches on my right side, i'm pretty sure it's my ovary (and no i do not think it's ovulatin, those aches last only a day). these aches are on and off the whole month.i had my withdrawal bleed about 2 and a half weeks ago so i doubt i'm pregnant. i'm very good at taking the pill as well. i've been with my.

Avatar f tn I started taking Levora birth control pills at the end of February. I had been on this brand before, years ago, with no complications after being prescribed Ortho-TricyclineLo which was a nightmare. It was recommended to me to start taking BC due to potential hormonal imbalances (potentially PCOS due to excessive hair growth) and this lined up with a new sexual relationship so I agreed even though I prefer not to use hormonal birth control.
2074715 tn?1332363727 My last one was jan 25th 2012 it was right after i got off my birth control cause we are trying to have a baby and every single test i take comes back NEG. i dont get it. if i go off of the han 25th period that makes me like 2 months late. Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
Avatar n tn My husband and I have been trying to have a baby since May. I was on Levora (birth control) and went off of it in April. For the first few months April, May, June, July...my periods were irregular, which is to be expected, since I went off of the pill. They SEEMED to be regualar in Aug. Sept. and then in October, I didn't have a period. I wasted so much time and money taking pregancy test (blood and otc) and no pregancy.
Avatar f tn I started oral birth control 20 days ago (levora I think its called). My husband and I had unprotected sex abt 2 weeks before that and my period ended on the same day I started taking the pills. Since then we usually use condoms but a few times haven't. I heard its not uncommon for a woman to miss her period the 1st month on these pills. I've been cramping sorta and have a lot of back pain these last 4 weeks. ( I started on my peach pills Sunday).
Avatar f tn I've tried 3 different kinds of birth controls (Lutera Levora & now Tri-nessa) in the last 3 months to help with my sever migraines. The goal was to have a period every 3 months to avoid month migraines with my period. And during these three months I have experienced continuous bleeding. About two weeks ago I started taking Tri-Nessa and i still am bleeding (definitely more than a spotting).
Avatar f tn Hello. I am a 34 year old Caucasian female. I took birth control for two months last year (Levora 15/30). I stopped taking them in late June because it was making me tired, and I had a really nasty bout of acid reflux and sweating one night, and other digestive issues. The heartburn went away for a few weeks, but then came back with a vengeance and wreaked havoc on my life for the next couple of months.
Avatar f tn In May of last year, I decided to take birth control (Levora 15/30) because of heavy and painful periods. The first week of taking the pill, I developed digestive upset, queasiness, and felt very tired during the first week. These symptoms subsided. The following month, when I was on the second pack of birth control pills, I woke up in the middle of the night with severe heartburn and sweating. The previous night I had tacos for dinner, and had some ice cream for dessert.

Avatar f tn Hi i have been on birth control almost 6 months now. And i bleed for 2 weeks every period. The first week its just a brown mild red spotting because im still on birth control and then the second week when im on the brown pill is when i actually get the full on effect of my period. Today i got my period again and im still not done with my normal birth control so i decided to skip to the brown pills this week and start a new pack once my brown pills are done.
Avatar f tn Can I get birth control without having an exam? I want birth control to regulate my period. I have never been sexually active but my period can go for 5-9 days not heavy or light flowing. It also has a range of 21-30 days in between periods. I do NOT like to be touched and have never had a successful relationship because of it.
1801864 tn?1318097993 I know that birth control can make you feel pregnant. But do you guys think I should get a pregnancy test? Me and my boyfriend have been having sex almost everyday and his been cumming inside me. and I was taking my birth control on time for a while but my life is getting stressed and I've been taking my birth control when ever I remember I have to take it. My tummy has cramp like feelings and my nipples are tender BUT I know that birth control can make that happen. SO what should I do.
Avatar f tn They asked me if I wanted birth control and I asked if it would interfere with breast feeding. He said I could get an iud which I don't want. Or get on a pill that's just progesterone. My question is..is anyone else on the pill and having or not having a problem with breast feeding?
