Hi guys sorry I am new here,
So my wife is a virgin and we had non penetrative sex and some sperm was left on her vagina and we got worried that she could get pregnant then she took emergency contraceptive (levonorgestrel) 48 hours after. Then after 2 days we did non penetrative sex again and we got worried about pregnancy and she took emergency contraception again. This is emergency contraceptive twice in a week.
I've been prescribed a course of Rigevidon and when I searched information about this pill, I was alarmed because there is a petition to say this pill should be withdrawn.
People as young as 23 have died and had stroke. While I understand that there is always a risk of DVT, depression or stroke when taking contraceptive pills, I was thinking, there are other brand of pills which contains more or less the same hormones ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. So should I be concerned?

Yesterday night (11h ago), the condom that me and my boyfriend were using malfunctioned and he ejaculated inside of me. We went to the farmacy and bought Norlevo morning after pill (1.5mg levonorgestrel). I took it right away (~2h after the intercourse).
Today I was googling about the subject and found out that there is another type of pill that has an higher success rate (EllaONe - 30mg ulipristal acetate). Can I still take this one? Will it reduce my chances of getting pregnant?

One pill could work but two would be better. Maybe she was not on her fertile days anyway - cycle days 8 through 16 of 28. She can find out more about that by downloading a period tracking app. If her next period shows up missing, that would be a good time to run a home pregnancy test. Best of luck!

Im planning on having sex for the first time. Me and my partner agreed to use a condom. Parents are strict, so I can't go on the pill. Im soo so nervous about becoming pregnant. Should I buy Plan B and use a condom too?

Or is it simply upregulated, and if so what are the consequences of that? I recently switched for alesse which has levonorgestrel. I read this progestin has the worst effect on cholesterol levels. How significant is this effect? And finally, how significant are nutrient depletions wile using the pill? I saw research done on it decades ago, but don't see much research on the topic concerning lower dose pills.
Also, I took a pill after maybe around 14 hours after? I took the Levonorgestrel 3x/day and I am on my 3rd day taking it so I already consumed 9 tabs.
Can I still get pregnant? I am so anxious and paranoid because I am still in the university and just about to reach my dreams. I am also too young to conceived and I was raised in a society which pre-marital sex is not honored. I am so shameful about myself to be honest.
Each tablet contains 0.75mg Levonorgestrel. and told me not to worry nothing will happen. but i am afraid please tell me if there is any chances of getting pregnant
let me precise the whole thing
1- we were enjoying dry humping. (no intercourse and dry humping with full clothes on)

2- i am a virgin girl, never had sex before. not even this time, it was just dry humping.
3- my last periods were ended on 4th Feb. they were in between 29 jan to 4 feb.

Tony is correct, if you are in fact breastfeeding you should discuss with your OB/GYN a progestin only pill ( a good example would be NORA-BE TABLET) . If not here are some low dose pills to consider.

So i've been on Rigevidon (combined pill) since about January. I've been taking it correctly and I've never taken a pill more than an hour late. Hi there. Plan B is an emergency contraceptive meaning it causes you not to conceive after unprotected sex. You have to take it relatively quickly for it to work though. It's hormones that upset the balance so that you can't conceive. Now there is also a pill you can take that terminates pregnancy but typically a doctor prescribes that. Again, that is a big dose of hormones to upset the balance.

Hi i got period last month on 22nd and got unprotected intercourse with my husband on 25th night and taken levonorgestrel 2 tablets between 48 to 72 hours but after one week i goot some bleeding again for 3 days but that was not heavy bleeding, my question is am i pragnent or not
