I see these color blobs that move in my vision that shouldn’t be there, they don’t show any connection to stimuli so I don’t have synesthesia. I’m on levetiracetam aka keppra and clobazam aka onfi. When I was on oxcarbazepine (trileptal) and levetiracetam (keppra) I started having these weird headaches where I would lose my vision, hearing, smell, and coordination, but I could still speak and feel. The doctors are pretty much stumped. Has anyone ever had a situation like this?
My only suggestion is to check on who the generic mfg is. I had a bad arrhythmic reaction to one brand of generic Zoloft, and it turns out the problem is pretty common.
I hate to generalize, but in general, if the mfg is from India (such as Aurobindo), consider getting your generic Zoloft elsewhere. My recommendation is Greenstone, as it's owned by the company that makes the name brand, and I've read that the formulation is identical.
I am an Indian Citizen living in the US. I have been taking LEVETIRACETAM (to control partial-onset seizures) since 2011. Currently, I am in perfect health conditions. As a precautionary medicine, I get the medicine from India either myself or through a friend/family member traveling between India and the US. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, I am running short of medicine. I have my prescription and medical certificates to support my condition.
I am taking tablets for my minor neural problem for the past 4 years, The tablets i am consuming are Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) -300mg and Levetiracetam (keppra) -250mg. Now I am looking for a tablet which should have both of this content in the same. I feel guilty that I am taking more tablets and my health condition is improved now. so I planned to reduce my tablet dosage. so I look over this- i.e.
can levetiracetam 750mg (2 2 times a day) be taken with amlodipine 10mg (1 time a day) and albuterol 90mcg (2 pumps 4 times a day). Can these be mixed? I this too much medicine?
This generic (called alprazolam) was probably actually the identical name brand Xanax manufactured by Pfizer. Pfizer simply sends the true Xanax formula to Greenstone; Greenstone just puts a generic number on it, so you are really buying and taking the name brand Xanax. A pharmacy manager told me this is a very common practice among big pharma. As of 2 years ago, I find Pfizer's generic Xanax now has NO EFFICACY! Why?
At this point of time he is not able to speak more than two words in a row. His Hb is 8.9. He is on valporate, topiramate and levetiracetam. His MRI scan revealed "Assymetric Right Temporal Horn prominence without any difinite evidence of mesial scerosis"
His walking pattern is also erratic. Most often he adopts "Toe Walking". When he walks slowly, which is rare, he walks alright. Always he tries to rush up and runs in an imbalancing manner.
Hi there, the various side effects with keppra or levetiracetam are dizziness, irritability, tiredness, fatigue, severe allergic reactions, extreme dizziness, drowsiness, weakness or tiredness, memory loss, behavior changes like aggression, panic attacks, restlessness, new or worsening seizures etc. in the period immediately after a seizure attack, it could be the post ictal phase or confusion. Consult your neurologist for your evaluation and change of anti epileptic medication. Hope this helps.
Pharmacotherapy usually involves drug modulating GABAergic neurotransmission like Levetiracetam, Piracetam, Clonazepam or Valproic acid against prescription. I suggest you to consult neuro physician for his further evaluation and management. Take care and regards.
I am currently taking zoloft since nov 09, I've had to increase the dosage twice and am now on 150mg, the first couple days are worriesome I was jittery, and can cause diarrhea, and I did feel a little panicky. it is suppose to give you a boost of energy (per my psychiatrist) but if you are in panic mode you may feel it is just exacerbating your panic attack. It does go away in about 4-7 days.
There have been reports of effective seizure control from patients following up monthly. They are using Levetiracetam (Keppra) as an adjuvant to another first line anti-epileptic medication. Most of them are suffering from partial seizures. And the first line drug is mostly Tegretol. Only a few patients have complained about mood swings so far. All had predominantly depressed mood, but not to the extent of being called depressive disorder. This must be about 10% of the patients.

Hi, I'm currently on vacation and I was running out on my Alprazolam (Brand: Restyl SR) that I normally take and I met with a doctor here today and got a prescription for it. It's the Alprazolam XR (Greenstone brand). I've usually been taking 0.5 mg 3 times a day which is a 1.5 mg every day, and upon getting this I'm prescribed to take 0.5 mg 2 times a day, which brings it to a 1 mg.
Took mine off at 20 weeks :(
Pharmacological treatment when required would indicate anticonvulsants, like piracetam, levetiracetam, sodium valproate etc. 5-hydroxytryptophan can cause some improvement. Consult your neurologist. Hope this helps. Take care.

I'VE TRIED VIAGRA BEFORE WITH NO RESULTS. I WAS ON WELLBUTRIN BEFORE ZIPRASIDONE. AT THAT TIME WHEN I HAD AN ORGASM I DIDN'T EJACTULATE ALTHOUGH NOW WHEN I AM ABLE TO ACHIEVE ORGASM I'VE GOT LITTLE EJACTULATION AT TIMES.
The drugstore switched again to Dava brand which brought on anxiety and nervousness. One last try with the pharmacy and they gave me Greenstone which is causing sleep problems, mainly insomnia. Is the Mylan brand no longer available? And are the side affects above possible since they are supposed to all have the same active ingredients. Is it the filler?
My dog 13yo Boxer began experiencing cluster seizures. Initially given phenobarbital. Major bad reaction & seizures stopped. They came back about month later. First given Gabapentin. Seizures increased. Now he's on levetiracetam & seizures has subsided. Side effect has been increased sedation and loss of appetite. I need to given his next set of meds but concerned to give him another 750mg on an empty stomach. He barely ate for his 2nd round od meds this afternoon.

We have only tried twice to get pregnant and we have 2 kids. First time with both kids. He is on Lamictal and Levetiracetam (2 types of meds) twice a day. He had his last seizure a year ago. I have never heard of any sexual side effects, cause we havent dealt with any, but then again he is italian so that also increases his passion, lol. I would find out the type of meds he is on and just google it and see what side effects come up! Good luck!
When did the sexual problems start. was it before or after starting your medication? These meds may be causing the problem. I did look them up and there was not anything in the side effects category that mentioned this problem. But, these meds can be very sedating and they do work on the central nervous system.
I take it your using them to control seizures? The Phenobarbital has a very long half life, meaning it stays in the system for a long time. Your taking a pretty high dose.
With xanax, its creator Pfizer has a subsidiary company Greenstone that makes a generic form of xanax which is literally identical and made by the same company technically. That's the generic I used when I was on Xanax and was fine with it because I knew it was made under the brand company's subsidiary company. Just not sure what to do here, I'll appreciate any advice! I have Caremark insurance by the way.
