Avatar_f_tn I had a bladder infection about a month ago and was taking Levaquin. So I wanted to put back some good stuff and was told I could chew the pills. They don't taste too bad. Trying to stay away from dairy products at the moment. I checked with several doctor's offices and they all say that the doc doesn't do the tests at the same time because insurance companies pay them hardly anything when the procedures are combined.
Avatar_n_tn off kilter, tight forehead, concentration issues, post nasal drip. Antibiotics are just not cutting it. I've tried zithromax, levaquin, augmentum, and now on avalox.

Avatar_f_tn But the pattern continued and within a month I was sick again, went to the doctor after it was over, found I had more pus and was put on Levaquin for 7 days. Seemed like it got better, but about a week or two later after I finished the antibiotics I got sick again and got another (this time over the phone) prescription for more Levaquin. Then I got double sick again WHILE STILL ON the Levaquin.

Avatar_dr_m_tn When you see your doctor, throat redness and irritation and swollen glands are noted, confirming even further that you’re in the middle of a standard upper respiratory infection, or the common cold. Typically, it’ll last anywhere from 3-5 days. A small minority will progress into one of the classic complications of a common cold, such as a bronchitis or sinusitis.

Avatar_f_tn It still did not work, I went to my regular doc and had a chest x-ray and they told me I had Pneumonia and he gave me Levaquin. In the meantime I took some Asthma tests (per my doctor's suggestion) and found out I have Asthma. I was given Pulmicort and MaxAir. My cough still wasn't going away and my tongue was extremely swollen. I went to the walk-in once again, they gave me a Nebulizer Treatment,Prednisone, and Nystatin for oral thrush.
Avatar_m_tn It is effective with bacterial and viral infections, and some but not all fungal infections. The Flip-Turn is the original, and still the best Sinus Flush. WARNING! DISCLAIMER! The technique in this manual involves bending over in a hot shower. Obviously, if you bend over in a shower, there is a slight possibility that you can get dizzy and fall down. You could possibly hit your head, get knocked out, or break something.
Avatar_n_tn This lasted for about a year until I got pnuemonia, took an 8 days supply in 4 days from all the coughing (Stupid me, I really didn't know it was illegal), but thinking since I had a new prescription and a prescription for Levaquin, I just needed to refill it, but the DEA Pharmacist at "W@((&^**#S", called my Doctor (while he was in the process of moving to a new location) and got him to cancel my prescription.
Avatar_n_tn I was prescribed cipro and levaquin for what my dr's thought was an infection. It turns out I never had infection and the antibiotics seemed to have kicked my neuro symptoms into high gear. I was already having some minor issues before cipro and levaquin, but they definitely seemed to make my symptoms much worse. Anyone else have similar experience?
Avatar_n_tn I was really sick, getting sicker and on Levaquin--on 4-6 wks, off 4-6 wks. I noticed that for me, the orange tongue correlated with how sick I felt (mind you I do/did have other complicating factors not necessarily relevant to the orange tongue theory so I'll spare you). Long story short- I found a doctor who finally treated me for Lymes with Doxycycline and I low and behold, I got better and consequently--no more orange tongue (it's been a year since treatment).
Avatar_n_tn It is time to try an alternative. Start doing the following breathing exercise daily and it will help all your ear problem. - Deep Breath-in through left nostril keeping right nostril closed then - Breath-out through right nostril keeping left nostril closed then -Deep Breath-in through right nostril keeping left nostril closed then - Breath-out through left nostril keeping right nostril closed and repeat this cycle for 15 minutes twice a day.
Avatar_n_tn Wow! I can't believe there are so many others having these same problems. I live in North Carolina, am a 45-year old male, and have had sinus issues for years. Since approximately early October, I have had severe sinus headache, pressure, dizziness (off balance feeling), and a general lethargic feeling. I went to my GP, who prescribed Augmentin, which did nothing. Last week, I saw an ENT, who prescribed Prednisone for 6 days, Levaquin, Ambifed, and Nasonex. Talk about being medicated!
Avatar_f_tn Five months after the implant I elected to have the swine flu vaccination which resulted in a numb feeling and tingling in the extremities along with diarrhea and dizziness that subsided after a few days. Since then the tingling has combined with the aching in the lower extremities and progressed upward to include the thighs. Exercise makes all of the symptoms worse, as I experience severe aching and muscle twitching after any kind of physical activity.
