Went back after 2 weeks and the dr said the bladder infection was gone, but I had to keep on with the Levaquin as I was showing signs of pneumonia and he took another blood test. On the 3rd week of Levaquin, the dr called and said I was highly allergic to Levaquin and get to his office immediately. He gave me a new antibiotic shot and within an hour I was very ill. The next morning I woke up with a fever, unable to breathe and move my left side.

Symptoms of premenopause are irritability and mood swings,hot flashes,night sweating,irregular periods,decreased blood loss during periods,dry vagina,breast heaviness and tenderness and joint and muscle pain. Treatment is by hormone replacement therapy. I feel that an evaluation by a gynecologist will be helpful. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.

If you have been taking levaquin, do not have a urine chlamydia test. Levaquin cures chlamydia and would make the test negative, even if you were infected recently. At this point, there is no point in having any more chlamydia testing at all.

Recently I saw my MD and she ordered several blood tests and MRI to look for MS and other peripheral neuropathy causes. All blood tests and the MRI were normal. I think that I have had a severe drug reaction and do you think the shooting pain is Levaquin related? I took Ibuprofen for the tendon pain for 2 years starting the day after I finished the Levaquin 3 years ago. Did this increase the nerve damage? I have no balance or muscular strength problems.

About 2 hrs after i took Levaquin i was rushed to the ER with my whole left arm hurting and so weak through my whole body specially my arm, along with my blood pressure at 149/100. and my pulse at 119. I thought i was going to pass out, I was so nervous i was shaking all over. I had tests for heart attack stroke and brain scan which all came back normal so i know that it had to be the Levaquin which this was the first time i ever took it. My father in law was going 180 miles per hour to ER.

now its been 4 days i have been off of them an i got a rally bad sore blister in the roof of my mouth an i have broke out with folicallictitus i feel like i am getting a UTI an i also have been constipated an now my blood pressure is high i am on edge my nerves is bad i dont know what to do..please if anyone has had r knows anyone who has had simaler effects let me know i feel like i am goin crazy.. u was perfectly fine before takeing this drug...

He doesnt smoke cigarettes, only medical marijuana through a vaporizer but he has definitely been under alot of stress. He does not have high blood pressure or cholesterol. May any of this be side effects of lavoquin or his chest congestion, which now im questioning if it is a congestion anymore. How can you decipher chest pain from chest congestion vs.

Since that time, I have seen two Urologists, have had multiple xrays, blood work and urine tests (the blood and urine all come back clean). I have had a VCUG to check my bladder, lithotripsy to remove the kidney stone from my left kidney, an MRI of my pelvis and abdomen, a CT scan of my pelvis and abdomen, lasix renal scan and cytoscopy of my penis.

I unfortunately was left with a severe yeast infection of itchy crawlings skin that looks almost always inflamed and a leaky gut. From the levaquin, Bactrim etc. which I’m still dealing with to this day ;( no hope for that as whenever I eat sugar or alcohol my skin will crawl. As for my bladder now the only problem I have that has not gone away with everything I have tried is that after I go pee once I get up it feels like it’s raw in my urethra and hurts.

I was prescribed six 500mg Levaquin tablets to treat Strep Throat and a potential sinus infection. I only took 4 of the 6 pills since the side effects were getting to much to handle. I recently had a stool analysis test, ordered by a natrualpath, which revealed aeromonas caviae as a pathogen, and told me to take 21 days ofLevaquin, 500 mg 2 x daily. My internal Dr. and GI Dr. said aeromonas caviae is not a pathogen, and the test was "hocus pocus." I do not know whom to believe. I took 7 days of Levaquin and did feel better.

Hi. I have been experiencing some really disturbing set of symptoms. I was a healthy and happy 22 year old and now feel almost crippled. I have peripheral neurpathy, horrible anxiety, deppression, nausea, weight loss. I took Levaquin for a UTI infection in November 2009 and didn't have symptoms then. I also had a susequent yeast infection. Do anybody have any idea what could be causing thIs? Thank you and God Bless.

You need to write a letter and send it certified mail. Pain in the joints and elsewhere are common side effects of Levaquin. Most times this wears off (the good news), but there are instances of long-term damage from this particular antibiotic (that's the bad news). Statistics are on your side.

I saw a prescription for Ibfrofen in her bathroom medicine cabinet and I was taking it with my levaquin, but I never did because I had blood pressure medication that is on the warning pamphlet and it said do not take. I am confused if this is related to the levaquin or ARS. And now my wife says she has pain in her knee and elbow joint about 1 year later. Her back, had problems a couple months ago also.

After 1 week it was still there so I went to the clinic and got tested she did a pelvic exam and said my cervix was inflammed and was often caused by chlamydia so she gave me zithromax. I then started feeling a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen to next day and painful urination, as well as my acutal pelvis being very sore. s say that the doctor calls me before the weekend and says that I did indeed have a bacterial infection that the Levaquin treated and all other tests came back negative (this is a hypothetical situation obviously). I started taking it today (Monday); by the time Saturday rolls around, I will have taken my 6/7 dose. My question is this: will I still be able to transmit any infection that I may have right now? Or will the Levaquin have made it so I am no longer contagious?

Many antibioitics cause reflux. Levaquin is a strong one and is known to cause problems. I would recommend that you take the Levaquin with dinner tonight (it is supposed to be taken with food) and then enjoy the evening with your husband so you can both monitor your symptoms. If you have the difficulty breathing again, you should go to an ER. Also, if you are an asthmatic, you probably just need to use your inhaler on a regular basis while you get over this infection.

Went to see a doctor, who confirmed prostatitis--not BPH--with digital probing, and gave me azithromycin, then levaquin, ten day courses of each. Neither had any noticeable effect beyond making me constipated. I did online research and found out that most prostatitis is not bacterial, a possibility the doc (who was elderly) did not even appear to consider.

Have severe joint pain in both knees and shoulders. Hurts to walk, and cannot move my arms above my head. Stopped taking Levaquin on Monday and is now Wednesay and pain is still unbelievable. Does anyone know how long the pain will last and is there any way to get the pain to go away sooner? My doctor said I should feel better in a couple of days.

I was on levaquin a couple years ago, it made me very sick to my stomach and gave me some joint pain. I didn't realize until after I took it that it can damage tendons and I read it can also cause hernias. I would never take it again. That's just my opinion, I would also ask for something else.

I went to the dr. today and was dx with a UTI. I am pretty sure I just have a UTI but if for whatever I have an STD will the Levaquin that I am taking for my UTI cure chlamydia or gonorhea? but my symptoms were not gone, after a month i felt abit better but symptoms were urethral pain, testicular pain, knee and ankle pain, dry cough and itchy lungs, extreme pressure in head above ears, headache, fatigue. all stds and cultures came negative even after 5 months except semen culture which showed staphylococcus aureus resistant to almost all antibiotics except vancomycin.
