Avatar f tn I had my progesterone checked today and the results were 71.5. I have not been able to contact my nurse to find out if that is good or bad. I have an ultrasound scheduled Monday not sure what for. I was just wandering in this is a normal level. I took Letrozole and gave myself the ovidrel injection a week ago. Thanks for any help that you can provide. We have been trying for almost three years.
Avatar f tn What is a good way to thicken the uterine lining. My lining my last two cycles have been 7mm then 5mm. I was on clomid both times, and my RE has switched me to Letrozole. I'm going on vacation this month so won't start a cycle till October. I heard baby aspirin will help, but not sure if this is safe.
Avatar f tn you can look for Natural Progesterone cream. Its natural progesterone, and not as strong as the progynova. I used it for months with very few side effects (tender breasts, increased appetite).
Avatar n tn Hi I need help! ttc for 18 months...fsh levels day 3 have been up and down 17.1 then 7.5. This time FSH 3.3 but estogen high (supposedly this can suppress fsh) day 23 progesteron was only 2. today is day 26 and after ultrasound and bloodtest i was told that i did not ovulate and must take provera. i have regular periods 26-28 days.
Avatar f tn Last period was september 5th 2017 and i had slight brown spotting 4 days ago like when my period first starts but it never came. Gynecologist told me to take 100mg progesterone for 10 days then my period should start again. Then when it does take letrozole 2.5mg on cycle days 3-7. My question is will this help regulate my cycles so i can conceive? I had a 28 day progesterone test done and it waz 1.5 so super low. Im stumped and worried.
Avatar f tn My husband and I have been trying for almost 1 year. I was on Clomid for 6 months and last cycle switched to Letrozole. Now my period is 4 days late and 2 pregnancy tests say NEGATIVE - this is killing me! My OB has told me I will have to take progesterone to bring on my period. Has anyone else had a late period due to Letrozole or had negative PG tests but turned out they were PG? Thank you.
1204794 tn?1300704113 I used to have 9 to 16 days of bleeding before letrozole! After being on letrozole, how many days are you bleeding? This is my second time with Letrozole and I had 9 days of bleeding the first time. By Day 5 I'm ready to quit letrozole because it makes my bones a bit achy, my breasts are super tender and less firm, and overall I feel like I constantly have a buzz that you get with one glass of wine.
1626928 tn?1378850167 5mg two times a day of femara/letrozole and 1500mg a day metformin. I am curious about side effects, advice, success stories, etc. I am anxious and have been TTC for 3 years total, 2 with a doctors assistance. THANK YOU in advance.
Avatar f tn Usually REs will start you out on clomid or letrozole. If they don't work they move you on to injectibles (which are basically LH and/or FSH) such as menopur, follistim, gonal-f, bravelle, etc. Just depends what your RE prefers to use and what is right for your situation.
Avatar f tn I'm having around 31 day cycle and I'm of age 30 . I have been on letrozole 2.5mg in my last cycle( first time) CD 3-7 . My OB suggested to have intercourse on CD 13-17, but when I checked with OPK , it showed negative from CD 13-20 . could anyone tell me if I could have ovulated earlier than CD 13 or is there any chance that I could ovulate anyday from CD 21-24 or so . Could anyone please help me with this.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am also on the dosage of Letrozole from D3 to D7. I wanted to know, is it always effective to take this medicine . I also suffer from PCOS. I am on second cycle now and had my MC on CD27 with pre-menstrual discharge on CD26. It lasted for 4days only , so how do i get to know if I actually ovulated or not ? I used OPKs on CD 10 and CD11 both in the evenings but got very faint line so cant even depend on that to know what happening in my body? Is there anyone else who has similar issues ?
398038 tn?1247857003 had 2 IUIs the days after Lh surge...my progesterone was 27 in mid-leutal...but I saw some spotting last night...so think AF is coming down ...:( But atleast I know femara works better for my body than clomid. I will go through the website you are refering too.
Avatar m tn I have PCOS and for the last couple months, I was introduced to Letrozole. Up until this month during my Follicle check, I was told that the cycle was not as successful as the others. My RE prescribed me Menopur and took 2 vials the following day = 150ml. After taking the Menopur, I was asked to get labs done a day later. My FSH 6.2, my LH 11.3, and Progesterone 0.5. I'm waiting on my Estradiol results. Can someone please tell me these mean and what they should be during each cycle?
1423908 tn?1282667225 Ok so I am new on here and my Dr gave me clomid today to start on my 3rd day of period which I have to take progesterone to make myself have. Just wondering if anyone knows the chances of this working the first time or what other choices I have. She is planning on giving me the HCG shot after she does ultrasound. My insurance doesn't pay for anything so I am hoping the clomid and HCG shot will work. Goodluck and God bless! Prayers for everyone trying to conceive!!
Avatar f tn I had a follow up with the RE today and she is gonna put me on 7.5 mg Letrozole from cd 3-7 with ovidrel and monitoring. my ins dont cover the monitoring so i didnt do it with the clomid cycle but this time around i want to so i have to pay $650 up front... alot of money but i really want to make sure they can see whether or not im gonna respond to the letrozole.
Avatar n tn There are several ways to determine if you are ovulating. The most accurate is to get a blood test for a hormone called progesterone, which is elevated in the blood after ovulation. A progesterone drawn on days 21,22, or 23, if elevated, shows that you ovulated on clomid this month. If it is low, then you would probably want to bring on a period with provera, then try clomid at the 200 mg dose.
Avatar m tn Gave me symptoms. I am now on letrozole. Also experiencing symptoms. Will letrozole keep this cancer away. Is there a smaller does than 2.5 of letrozole that I can take.
1190279 tn?1324936257 Hi! Doctors will prescribe either clomid or letrozole to assist with ovulation. There's two main differences: it doesn't have anti-estrogenic side effects like clomid; and although studies have proven letrozole is an effective fertility drug it hasn't been approved by the FDA yet for fertility use, thus isn't covered by insurance (beware it's very expensive). Letrozole was developed to treat estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.
Avatar n tn I tried clomid as well a couple of years ago, with very similar side effects as you describe. The fertility specialist I am seeing now put me on Letrozole. Letrozole is actually a drug used for women with breast cancer. One of the 'side effects' is that it stimulates ovulation. Of course the dose you take for fertility purposes is much lower compared to taking it for breast cancer. I did a little research on my own and found that Letrozole is actually much safer than clomid.
6889053 tn?1386025503 Hello, my husband and I have been trying to conceive since we've gotten married 8 yrs ago. I was diagnosed with pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) in 2006. I'm not overweight, and my cycles come every month but not consistently. Well, this entire month of Nov., I have not gotten my period. I thought I might finally be pregnant so I went to my dr. and the test was negative. How can this be?? I get my period every month, finally miss a cycle, and it's negative?
372900 tn?1315512302 I had also already had a laproscopy and tubes flushed so after the panel we were ready to start the letrozole. So i took letrozole days 3 thru 7 of cycle and on day 12 of cycle I went to RE for vaginal u/s to check # of follicles and size. I was told to use OPKs starting cd10 and when I got the LH surge to call RE and set iui for the next morning. So me and my DH went into office that morning and before we done anything they done another vag u/s to check uterine lining and ovulation.
Avatar f tn I have been on letrozole for 5 months now and nothing.I had a miscarriage in march and have been taking this since march. The only side effects I have had are hot flashes in the beginning but I do get stabbing headaches occasionally.Has anyone else had to go from letrozole to something else that helped get them pregnant.
