This months I am on letrozole and would be taking an HCg injection to confirm that I ovulate ... All my tests said my conditions are good soo i ve no diea whats went wrong where .. :( Hope this would be my month ..

Has anyone ever used Letrozole? Was it beneficial? Did you get a BFP? Any side effects?

Hi, I am not Trin but I also have / had PCT. There are specific tests to diagnose PCT which my dermatologist did. AS far as myself and Trin the manifestations were large liquid filled blisters that made a mess nof our hands. The blisters were like a burn that filled with a clear liquid. In my case it did not start with a rash but only the blisters. The blisters hurt so bad, almost to the bone hurt. Trin will chime in here I am sure of that and she is better able to put into words tham me.

Guess I should say PCT skin manifestations return after tx as the PCT is chronic anyway. I also should spell it correctly "porphyria" (I think).

Gave me symptoms. I am now on letrozole. Also experiencing symptoms. Will letrozole keep this cancer away. Is there a smaller does than 2.5 of letrozole that I can take.

Hi! Doctors will prescribe either clomid or letrozole to assist with ovulation. There's two main differences: it doesn't have anti-estrogenic side effects like clomid; and although studies have proven letrozole is an effective fertility drug it hasn't been approved by the FDA yet for fertility use, thus isn't covered by insurance (beware it's very expensive). Letrozole was developed to treat estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.

The next step is cirrhosis so I had to start treatment as soon as my PCT was in check. PCT is chronic, not really any cure, but the doctor said treat the hepc and the PCT will go away and it has so far. If I can answer any other questions, please ask. I have been on letrozole for 5 months now and nothing.I had a miscarriage in march and have been taking this since march.The only side effects I have had are hot flashes in the beginning but I do get stabbing headaches occasionally.Has anyone else had to go from letrozole to something else that helped get them pregnant.

From what you are describing it sounds like an extra hepatic manifestation associated with hepc called Porphyria Cutanea Tarda (PCT). Essentially, what happens is because of the hepc the liver does not process iron properly. See your doctor and have phlebotomy sessions (blood letting) scheduled to treat the Porphyria. Anyone get pregnant using femara/letrozole after being given unexplained infertility diagnosis? How many months did you take it before you got your positive? Me: 28 Hubby: 30 Sperms analysis perfect, laparoscopy perfect, all tests for ovulation and ultrasounds looked perfect. Trying since 2012 no pregnancy yet This is my 2nd cycle on femara, next ovulation expected on 1/14. If 3rd cycle not successful, will do iui with femara anyone else done this and got pregnant? ?

I used to have 9 to 16 days of bleeding before letrozole! After being on letrozole, how many days are you bleeding? This is my second time with Letrozole and I had 9 days of bleeding the first time.
