Avatar n tn His hormones are off the charts in which the doc stated there are two hormones similar to testosterone that are extremely high. According to the doc she has narrowed it down to two possibilities, One is a mass (tumor!!!) on the adrenal gland and the second was something he could have inherited from myself and his mother.
Avatar f tn I'm having around 31 day cycle and I'm of age 30 . I have been on letrozole 2.5mg in my last cycle( first time) CD 3-7 . My OB suggested to have intercourse on CD 13-17, but when I checked with OPK , it showed negative from CD 13-20 . could anyone tell me if I could have ovulated earlier than CD 13 or is there any chance that I could ovulate anyday from CD 21-24 or so . Could anyone please help me with this.
Avatar n tn Especially if you have info on any clinical studies where Letrezole was used alone (without the combination of Testosterone or growth hormones) which is the case for my son. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I was then diagnosed with PCOS in January... I was having severe acne, and hair loss. My testosterone levels were high, coming in at 73. That is when they put me on all of this medication. Has anyone else had the provera not work? I'm scared that I have no other options, as I was looking forward to taking the Letrozole the Dr. had prescribed...Here I thought I was starting a new journey, something that would work! Anyone help??? Confused.
Avatar f tn Libido in both men and women is related closely to the level of testosterone in the blood (yes women have testosterone produced largely by the adrenal glands and men have so-called female hormones in their system). Testosterone level in the blood can be increased by a number of medications (androgel applied to the skin of the stomach, shots in the buttocks, etc.) all of which require a doctor's prescription.
Avatar m tn Hi There! On my first round of Letrozole(Femara) and no ovulating is showing. Anyone not ovulate the first month, but then start next couple months, or is this med not like that?? I don't feel the best on it, but will try anything. Had our first little guy a year ago with in vitro. We can't afford that route again, so hoping we are blessed by just doing prescription helpers. But I don't want to keep taking something that makes me feel awful if it isn't going to kick in.

Avatar n tn To add also, there are some natural things you can do to increase testosterone also. They revolve a bit around a healthy lifestyle so worth a try. https://www.webmd.
Avatar m tn In the mean time she will apparently still remain with virtually non existant testosterone levels. I realize that testosterone will be at low levels for a female, but her tests were with female ranges and she if at zero percent or below range (23% below range). Should my wife talk with her Dr and encourage him to start some sort of testosterone treatment with bioidentical testosterone?
Avatar m tn Gave me symptoms. I am now on letrozole. Also experiencing symptoms. Will letrozole keep this cancer away. Is there a smaller does than 2.5 of letrozole that I can take.
1190279 tn?1324936257 Hi! Doctors will prescribe either clomid or letrozole to assist with ovulation. There's two main differences: it doesn't have anti-estrogenic side effects like clomid; and although studies have proven letrozole is an effective fertility drug it hasn't been approved by the FDA yet for fertility use, thus isn't covered by insurance (beware it's very expensive). Letrozole was developed to treat estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.
Avatar f tn When I met my husband 11 years ago he had been diagnosed with hypogonadism. He had all the classic symptoms including sexual issues and enlarged breasts. He has been treated by different things over the course of our marriage. The finally found a drug that reduced the size of the tumor creating prolactin. Now after 10+ years he has been declared "normal" in his testosterone level. He was told it is now 240. this is the highest it has ever been in his life.
Avatar m tn Since you are overweight, one possibility is that you have estrogen dominance and T replacement may further increase the estrogen levels, but your doctor must have considered this issue already.May be he wants to try it on a short term basis to test its efficacy. So, it is better to get these points clarified from him. By the way, what was your T levels?, did you check your free T?.
Avatar m tn Will testosterone increase penis size? Has Extenze had any benefits on penis size? Does Nitric oxide increase penis and will it remain permanent?
6889053 tn?1386025503 Hello, my husband and I have been trying to conceive since we've gotten married 8 yrs ago. I was diagnosed with pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) in 2006. I'm not overweight, and my cycles come every month but not consistently. Well, this entire month of Nov., I have not gotten my period. I thought I might finally be pregnant so I went to my dr. and the test was negative. How can this be?? I get my period every month, finally miss a cycle, and it's negative?
Avatar f tn I have been on letrozole for 5 months now and nothing.I had a miscarriage in march and have been taking this since march. The only side effects I have had are hot flashes in the beginning but I do get stabbing headaches occasionally.Has anyone else had to go from letrozole to something else that helped get them pregnant.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am also on the dosage of Letrozole from D3 to D7. I wanted to know, is it always effective to take this medicine . I also suffer from PCOS. I am on second cycle now and had my MC on CD27 with pre-menstrual discharge on CD26. It lasted for 4days only , so how do i get to know if I actually ovulated or not ? I used OPKs on CD 10 and CD11 both in the evenings but got very faint line so cant even depend on that to know what happening in my body? Is there anyone else who has similar issues ?

Avatar f tn I have had 2 failed IUI's. My doc doubled my dose of Letrozole this month to 5mg days 3-7. Went in on day 10 and had 3 growing follicles, 10mm, 11mm, and 13mm. On day 12 went back in 2 days later and had only 2 follicles and the biggest was only 14mm, so it only grew 1mm in 2 days. Went in for 3rd sono hoping for at least 18-20mm after it being 4 days since last sono, but still only had 2 follicles that were 13mm and 15mm.
Avatar f tn It takes 4-6 weeks for a dosage increase to take full effect, so the small increase you took for 10 days, should not be affecting you, at this point. If your Free T3 is low, you're still hypo and night sweats could be symptom of being hypo. Can you please describe these adrenaline rushes you're getting? If you can post your actual Free T4 and Free T3 levels, we could be much more helpful.
