Hello, my husband and I have been trying to conceive since we've gotten married 8 yrs ago. I was diagnosed with pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) in 2006. I'm not overweight, and my cycles come every month but not consistently. Well, this entire month of Nov., I have not gotten my period. I thought I might finally be pregnant so I went to my dr. and the test was negative. How can this be?? I get my period every month, finally miss a cycle, and it's negative?

i have PCOS but i am thin and no diabetes, ttc for nearly two years now...i was told by my doctor i am anovulatory which made me depressed and i was on letrozole for 6 months but dint work..this is the first month i am given letrozole plus FSH injections and this made me produce one dear follicle which was 19mm and was given trigger shot 12 days ago.I took a pregnancy test 9 days after trigger shot which came out negative which confirmed trigger shot was out of my system...

OK, I have irregular cycles and I also have PCOS, my ob said for my husband and I to. Start trying to conceive, my ob upped my dosage of Metformin to 2, 500mg a day and to stop taking my birth control. He said if I don't have a period within 35 days come back, well its been two days on Metformin and I have already started, but I was wondering how long do I have to take this before I can get Clomid?

i was about to take meprate for periods but im waiting for next month for my periods...can i expect my periods this month after taking these tablets..? can i plan for pregancy this month?

I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I have been trying to conceive for over a year. I have been on CLomid for 7 months. I have ovulated using it, however still am not pregant. I have stopped taking CLomid because I have not gotten pregnant using it. I was wondering how long Clomid stays in your system. Would it be possible to get pregnant without taking Clomid if I have PCOS.

I have pcos as well. I would only get a period about every 3 to 4 months. At first I tried ovulation kits, but my periods were just too irregular. For my first child, my Dr put me on metformin. While on that, my periods became a little more regular at every 6 weeks. For this pregnancy, I first tried clomid. That didn't work so I was switched to letrozole. I had just given up on that to go back to metformin, but find out I was pregnant. Good luck!

Hey guys, I am a 27 year old female and have been diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis. I have taken 4 months of clomid up to 150mg and did not produce one egg. I recently switched doctors and am getting ready to start my first cycle of femara. I am taking 2.5mg two times a day of femara/letrozole and 1500mg a day metformin. I am curious about side effects, advice, success stories, etc. I am anxious and have been TTC for 3 years total, 2 with a doctors assistance. THANK YOU in advance.

Do you know if you are ovulating even though you have PCOS? Chances are that you are not without the assistance of hormones. I can tell you that I tried clomid alone for 5 cycles without any success. I was only on metformin at the time for my PCOS. I also had a normal HSG and DH's sperm is good. Then I had a lap done in December and it confirmed I had endometriosis. They removed all the adhesions/tissue. March/April was our first attempt since the lap.

Hi, I am also on the dosage of Letrozole from D3 to D7. I wanted to know, is it always effective to take this medicine . I also suffer from PCOS. I am on second cycle now and had my MC on CD27 with pre-menstrual discharge on CD26. It lasted for 4days only , so how do i get to know if I actually ovulated or not ? I used OPKs on CD 10 and CD11 both in the evenings but got very faint line so cant even depend on that to know what happening in my body? Is there anyone else who has similar issues ?

My doctor put me on Clomid 100 mg (day 3-7) for three months. Besides the side effects for me were pretty bad (mood swings, crying for no reason, vision disturbances, ovary pain, back pain) I didn't ovulate until day 21. I used OPK's but no luck in detecting my LH surge. So I phoned the fertility clinic and they did E2 and LH. The same day they called me back and my E2 was very high so I had an ultrasound.

This time I tried clomid for 6 cycles the switched to letrozole. After 4 cycles (and about to just go back to metformin) I finally conceived. Good luck!

I do not ovulate on my own and I never get periods due to my PCOS which have been diagnosed 2 years ago. I have been taking Metformin 1500mg/day and sometimes Provera 10mg to get a period and then Letrozole 7.5mg cd 5-9 but never got any results. Sadly, clomid did not work for me and does not work for most people with PCOS. I tried clomid for 4 months. 50 mg, then 100mg and 150 mg twice. Not one of those times did I have and egg grow or ovulate, I took clomid days 5-9 of my cycle. After that (just this past month) we tried Letrozole (provera) 5mg and low and behold it worked. I took it on days 3-7 of my cycle.

I have pcos.One year ago i used clomoid 150 mg tablets for 3 months but no luck.then i was used after ovulation 15 progestone tablets for pregnancy protection(if pregnancy is there), Now my RE recomended letrozole 5 mg tablets .I have to start on my 3rd of my period.RE asked ne to use ovulation predictor kits and if perod missed means I have to take an appointment.She didn't give any progestrone tablets after ovulation. Took letrozole and injectibles and had 3 IUIs done in Dec2010, Jan 2011 and April 2011... all BFNs... took a 4 month break from meds... started TTC journey again in Dec 2011.. Lezra 2.5mg days 2-6, Gonal F 75IU on CD 7-9.. U/S on Day 11 showed leading fllicle size as 11mm.. upped Gonal F to 150IU on Days 11 & 12... CD 13... No growth at all.. leading follicle size was 12mm... cycle bust!! Jan 2012 .

soon after i got my periods on sept...nxt for 2 months i was on birth control.from november doctor put me on letrozole , glycomet, folic acid for 2 cyles bt it didnt click out..... then doctor put me on clomid 100mg b failed...nxt she put me on clomid 150 mg,myotol and said to have a follicular study n till d20 i had only one follicle 11*9mm so it failed....currently im on letrozole, humog75,i had 1 follicle 16*13mm on left and 17*16mmon right on d13..on d14 i had hcg5000 .
