letrozole detection time

I have been on letrozole for 5 months now and nothing.I had a miscarriage in march and have been taking this since march.The only side effects I have had are hot flashes in the beginning but I do get stabbing headaches occasionally.Has anyone else had to go from letrozole to something else that helped get them pregnant.

I'm not overweight, and my cycles come every month but not consistently. Well, this entire month of Nov., I have not gotten my period. I thought I might finally be pregnant so I went to my dr. and the test was negative. How can this be?? I get my period every month, finally miss a cycle, and it's negative?

Gave me symptoms. I am now on letrozole. Also experiencing symptoms. Will letrozole keep this cancer away. Is there a smaller does than 2.5 of letrozole that I can take.

Hi! Doctors will prescribe either clomid or letrozole to assist with ovulation. There's two main differences: it doesn't have anti-estrogenic side effects like clomid; and although studies have proven letrozole is an effective fertility drug it hasn't been approved by the FDA yet for fertility use, thus isn't covered by insurance (beware it's very expensive). Letrozole was developed to treat estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.

I had my 1st appt with an RE today. He wants to do a superovulation / IUI with Letrozole. I am to take 2 - 2.5mg tablets days 3 - 7. After reading up on this, it is the same thing as Femara right? Has anyone taken this med and does it actually work alone? My other ? is, he said that we can try this for 3 - 4 cycles, but after that we have to think about IVF?? The only things that I have tried in the past are 4 cycles of clomid and 1 IUI. Why would he skip injectables??

I finally broke down after 26 mo of TTC, 8 clomid cycles, 2 IUIs and trigger shots and went to the RE for advice. After AF shows in 2 weeks or so - we will start on letrozole with CD3 blood work and U/S and then do another IUI. If that is unsuccessful - we will do IVF. Has anyone done letrozole vs clomid? side affects? BFPs?

When they added the letrozol I had 7 folicles the first time and 14 the second (I added acupunture the second time) I had three other drugs used with the letrozol mind you - but they wake the ovaries up.

Anyone get pregnant using femara/letrozole after being given unexplained infertility diagnosis? How many months did you take it before you got your positive? Me: 28 Hubby: 30 Sperms analysis perfect, laparoscopy perfect, all tests for ovulation and ultrasounds looked perfect. Hi Sherry, I am doing the injectables now...on round three but using letrozole, instead of clomid. The cost sounds about right (unfortunately). I have been told that the IUI success rates are better in round 3 and 4, once you get used to the drug combo. I have been trying to find an insurance plan that covers fertility as well.

s syndrome which is a incurable auto-immune system problem which is that the glands produce lubrication has stop function properly. I have to use lotion all the time to make my dry hand feel comfortable. Could it be the long term usage of Tamoxifen which may cause this problem. If I stop using this, would it been improved? I only have about 1.5 years on the drug. I also want to know if it is wise not to take anything after tamoxifen.

Letrozole is effective in increasing final adult height. Many medical studies have shown that. Most doctors don't know it yet. The recommended dose of 2.5 mg is actually not necessary. 0.3 mg will provide similar effects.

Ok, so, doc doubled my Letrozole this cycle and for first time had more than one follicle growing so had hope this time..a little history, I have PCOS and Agressive Endometriosis. 2 failed IUI's so far with letrozole and HCG inj. Before that, Clomid for 9 months with no success. So this time again, follicles on the left stopped growing at 14mm, and the one on the right was 24mm today but was a anuovulated.. But i have stopped bleeding on 22/08/16(is it normal?).On top of that my doctor has advised me to take letrozole from 2 to 6 days during my period.My question is that,should i continue taking letrozole even if i do not bleed?

When did you start checking with OPKs and what time do you check? Afternoon is supposedly the best time. Do you have any signs that you ovulated, or do you normally have signs? Positive OPKs do not guarantee ovulation, and negative OPKs do not guarantee that you didn't ovulate. Especially if you drink a lot of fluids - you can dilute your urine.

I have been taking letrozole for the last 6 months as well as have had 4 rounds of iui sith no sucess, last month they had my on 5mg of letrozole, this month I decided to cut it back down to 2.5. without the meds i can skip my period for 3mths at a time, on it I get it every month, never missing. i have also never been 10 days late, which i am now......good news, i would wish for a positive, only problem is I took test 2 days ago (which means on 8 day late) and negitive.
