lescol xl dose

I'm on simvastatin (zocor). I started it *after* my PVC episodes increased dramatically. I wasn't concerned about arrhythmia as a side effect. My PVCs have gone down quite a bit since I started it. I don't attribute this to the zocor at all. My total cholesterol is down to 150, from 245. I'm on the lowest dose, 10mg.

She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. I know Venlafaxine, is supposed to be the same as Effexor, but I don't think it is - at least my body said it was different!! I am now wondering what the next step is for me. What is the difference between Effexor XL and Venlafaxine. How do I reduce from 37.5mg Venlafaxine?

My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...

I have taken 50 mgs of toprol XL for 12-13 years. It is a very safe and a good medication in my opinion. The XL means that it has an Extended Life .. in other words one pill is supposed work for at least 24 hours i think... but anyway... I dont know why the doc would say just use it when your rate is fast.. if you took one a day ....your heart rate should stay pretty regular Id think.. but Im not a doctor... I dont really know about taking it occassionally... doesnt make alot of sense to me..

I don't think there's anybody on the forum who could advise you whether to take Procardia XL or not. I think you should call your doctor and talk to the on-call doctor about this. None of us are medical professionals - even my husband who's a pharmacist would never give any advice w/out having all of the facts.

No, and after the heavy duty Amiodarone. I have taken Propafenone at 225 mg three times a day and twice a day when I was in sinus following a couple of electrocardioversion. If you're following me, the cardioversions were not purminate...one time I was in sinus for about 18 months the other time for two years. As far as I know a dose of Propafenone once a day will not do much, as the medication will "wear off" quickly. That's why I've taken as much as every 8 hours.

I went from brands name Wellbutrin SR 150 mg once a day, which made me energized and active, to brand name Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day. Now I am sleepy, lethargic and there is no buzz or energy at all. What's up??

can you be switched from the time released once a day toporol xl 100mg to the less expensive metoprolol succinate 50mg twice a day to achieve the same effect

I take 200 mg of toprol xl (metoprolo er), 100 morning, 100 night. My tables can be broken in half to make a 50 mg dose, which I have also used. I'd guess your 50 mg toprol xl can be split in half to give you a 25 mg tablet. I'm not suggesting what dose you should use, just saying I think you have a way to take 25 mg accurately if that's what is needed. I take the med to slow down my HR, driven by AFig. When in sinus I was taking 100 mg and had a rest HR of about 60.

i have graves diseas and i take toprol xl 10mg for tachycardia. i recently was awakened by severe chest pains and continued until i saw my endocronoligist which was 6 hrs. they did an EKG & it was bradycardia @ 45 bpm and my blood pressure @ 90/50. I was sent to ER & admitted to 23 observation. they did a stress test, chest Xray, blood work (troponin levels), d-dimer and all came back normal & was then discharged with heart rate @ 46..blood pressure @ 83/46 and chest pains..

Hi, Everyone. My EP switched me from Sotalol (160 mg daily) to Toprol XL (25 mg daily). His instructions were to stop taking Sotalol (no weaning) and start taking Toprol. It was a HUGE leap of faith for me as I have tried to not obsess about this. Today was my first day. I'm doing fine, but want to know if anyone else has made the same switch and faired well. Thanks!

XL helped me with the side effects, it reduced/eliminated them while I was increasing my dose.

If you have trouble sleeping, remember to take WELLBUTRIN XL in the morning. Do not change your dose or stop taking WELLBUTRIN XL without talking to your doctor.

My doctor started me on Wellbutrin XL 150mg and I felt great the first couple of days, however I now get very depressed in the afternoons, dwelling on the past - how I could have done things better and how messed up my life is now, the doc wants to increase the dose to 300mg but these pills are expensive!! I can't afford to pay $120/month just for these....isn't there anything cheaper that would help?

I am at the maximum daily dose of Welbutrin (450mg XL). It's helping somewhat, but I feel I need something more. Is there a medication that compliments Welbutrin?

I'm not a doctor and I can't say for sure, but it seems unlikely that a low dose Xanax would interfere with the Dig. If you really don't want to check with the doctor, try calling your pharmacist. He/she should be able to let you know for sure.

My blood pressure runs around 91/60 and my pulse rate at 50 is this to low is this why I might feel sluggish and tired with no energy. I take medicine for tachycardia 50 mg p/day of toprol xl.

I am currently taking 400mg XL of Wellbutrin, one upon rising and one 3-4 hours later and then at night I take 50mg Zoloft. I would like ot have a weaning off of the wellbutrin schedule and eventually the zoloftor both at the same time if possible. They seem to help for awhile and then not anymore and I can't afford to keep paying for them.

Wish I could give you more info on Welbutrin. I do know that it is primarily a Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor. Perhaps it is this Inhibition of Dopamine reuptake that is having this effect for you. I did try Welbutrin many years ago as an add on antidepressant, unfortunatly (for me) it had no effect and did not help even after months taking it at high dosages.

I suggest you call the doctor or pharmacist. You are on a very low dose. I take 50mg of Toprol XL twice daily and that does not totally keep the SVT under control. It's possible you are not taking enough.

i am taking toprol xl 25 mg (half in am and half in pm. it seems to be working on bp but when i am up on my feet heart rate goes to 100-115. why isn't it working on hr.

A prescription for Toprol XL 12.5 mg issued. Should I take it considering it is a beta-blocker and reduces the heart rate?

What is too low ? I have been on Toprol XL since 2004, starting at 50mg for several years then lowered for a few, then upped early August to 50mg daily. After a few days of a faster heart rate and skipped beats, my cardio doctor upped my doasge again to 100mg in the morning and 50mg at night, Yesterday was the first time to take 100mg in the morning. My BP readings were around 115 (systolic) with the diastolic running in the low 50's and at one time 45. Pulse was in the 50's.

Dosage Adjustment for Patients With Impaired Hepatic Function Wellbutrin XL should be used with extreme caution in patients with severe hepatic cirrhosis. The dose should not exceed 150 mg every other day in these patients.
