Avatar f tn This will give them a good view of your ovary and any cysts that you may have. Please rest assured that ovarian cysts and cancer have most of the same symptoms. 95% of ovarian cysts are non cancerous. It is common to have pain during exercise, sex, and sitting for long periods of time when you have an ovarian cyst. Please keep us updated on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/wyntk/ovary/page5 Since many of the ovarian cyst symptoms are similar to the ovarian cancer symptoms, I am confused whether i should wait for 4 more weeks for repeat US. I already had left ovary removed due to a large dermoid and would like to not go to early menopause by loosing the right ovary; which i am afraid may happen when Dr goes to remove cyst.
Avatar n tn Can anyone tell me if a CA 125 comes back as normal could it still be ovarian cancer? Still in so much abdominal pain and bad backache but getting no answers!
Avatar f tn Scared that i might have Ovarian Cancer, because of the symptoms that i am having. I have pain in my leg, it gets weak, pelvic pain, stomach pain around the right side.
Avatar n tn What you are describing can be symptoms for many things. These can include ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. Since it is pretty rare for women your age to have ovarian cancer and since more than 95% of all cysts are benign let's asssume you are dealing with a cyst. I had all the symptoms you are describing and had benign cysts. You should check out the health pages (top right) and look at the listing for types of cysts and symptoms.
18454502 tn?1465007523 Unless you have the BRCA mutation. Close relatives with Ovarian cancer before the age of 60 you have a 1.4% of ever getting ovarian cancer. The next step for the ovary is a transvaginal ultrasound, 98% of ovarian cysts are benign. They are very common and can cause pain. Most resolve or go away on their own. Most doctors if they find one will watch and see if it goes away. I think you have a lot of unrelated things going on. None of your symptoms point to ovarian cancer.
Avatar m tn For the last few months I have had a recurring sharp pain in between my upper leg and hip. All tests have been negative for gynological, gastro, or urilogical systems. My question is, could this be an uncommon MS symptom, like the MS hug, but involving lower level nerves?
Avatar n tn I try to pull my leg up so I can lay in the fetal position, but the pain on my left side radiates down my leg and i literally have to pull my leg up with my arms. The pain subsides at times then it will act up again for no reason. It is distressing to me and I don't know what else to do as far as stressing to my doctors that I do have this pain and they don't seem to be concerned. What type of test can you reccomment I get to rule out cancer.

Avatar f tn ve read quite a bit on the forum and unfortunately feel like the possibility of ovarian cancer seems likely at this point... I had been diagnosed with ovarian cysts almost two years ago, multiple cysts and some adhesions etc. One particularly large one on my left ovary and had surgery scheduled at that time. I had a job offer out of town, and while I was having some pretty sharp pains from it I made the decision to deal with it and cancel the surgery at the time.
Avatar f tn bloating 24/7 (I am overweight, but abdomen is distended more than it should be for my size); pelvic pain on the right side; leg pain on the right side; lower back pain; leg swelling; urine urgency (have had one 'full' accident, and several partial); recently developed mild on & off nausea; recently began having some pressure in pelvic area; extreme pain before needing to have a BM - there are a few others, but these are the main ones am concerned with.
Avatar f tn A woman who does not have the BRCA genetic mutaion has a 1.4% of ovarian cancer in her life time. The statistics are smaller at your age. 98 or more of ovarian cysts or tumors are benign. A transvaginal ultra sound can show a lot. The symptoms you describe could just be from the cyst. Pap smears do not show ovarian cancer. Ultra sounds and CT scans are the only way to see the ovaries. Ovarian cancer at least at first has no symptoms.
