Avatar n tn They said it was sciatica that caused the leg pain and numbness and tingling. I just got my second steroid injection and the pain is much better though I still have a lot of numbness and tingling in my lower legs and foot. In fact, my other leg and one arm has been tingling and becoming numb since Monday. Best bet is to go see your doctor. Good luck.

Avatar f tn Thank you for the answer! Is that possible if i dont have any back pain or any numbness or tingling? I read up a little bit about it and ive never experienced tingling or numbness, nor any pain in my back, only my legs. I do however feel very ill and weak if i stand for too long and get achey very quickly when walking, if that helps to confirm or deny anything?
Avatar m tn It appears that your symptoms could be due to injury to a nerve, pressure on spinal or peripheral nerves (neuropathy), vitamin deficiency, lack of blood supply due to cholesterol plaque from atherosclerosis in the extremities, viral infection and use of certain medications. In addition, atherosclerosis can also cause pain, numbness, and tingling while walking and they can also reduce blood supply and lead to numbness.
Avatar n tn i woke one morning and had no feeling when using the bathroom, a slight tingling in my lower right leg, and some sort of spasming going on in my left leg. i thought nothing of it because all of the symptoms basically went away. around 2 hours later my right leg went numb. i went to the emergency room. i was diagnosed with a "bone spur" on c5/c6 and sent home w/ meds.
Avatar n tn What I feel in my leg and feet are tingling with pain. This pain comes and goes but seems to come more at night and at bedtime where I am unable to get a good nights sleep because I am constantly twisting and turning. I am not capable of sitting for long periods of time and am finding that I need to lie down 50% of time during the day. It seems that all I can do is focus on this feeling, when I sit overtime my legs and feet start tingling and have a feeling of numbness.
Avatar f tn I had surgery on my leg in dec. cuz I had twisted my knee late last summer and by oct part of my foot was numb but the tingling was from the side of my knee down to my whole foot. went to an ortho doc that sed it was my back (i have DDD) so had injection, "this will help with the back pain", told him I don't have any back pain, my leg is tingling and my feet hurt all the time and the top of my left foot is numb.
Avatar f tn It sounds like sciatica from from you lumbar region. The term sciatica describes the symptoms of leg pain and possibly tingling, numbness or weakness that originates in the low back and travels through the buttock and down the large sciatic nerve in the back of the leg. You most likely have a pinched nerve. The reason I recognize that is because I am dealing with it in my left leg. More on this site: http://www.spine-health.
Avatar n tn I had hypothalamic lacunar stroke on 01/09/09 with subsequent thalamic pain syndrome on my right side arm/hand & leg/foot/toes. Constant tingling/burning/tightness/numbness & cold my entire right side of body. After stroke, my doctor immediately put me on 75 mg Plavix same day. Avatar n tn Hi there. These tingling, pain and numbness sensations are in the lower limbs, lumbar spine needs to be investigated clinically and with an MRI spine to check the intervertebral spinal disc which could be impinging on an exiting nerve root or a bony spur irritating the nerves and hence the symptoms. An MRI spine shall reveal most of the disc related pathologies, which could be causing the deficit.
Avatar f tn Hi there. The various causes of these tingling and numbness in leg could be vitamin B12 deficiency, hypothyroidism, cervical disc prolapsed or degeneration, bony spurs pressing nerve roots etc. You could be suffering from a disc issue at the back. Consult a neurologist for investigation of your spine and an MRI spine is warranted to check the lesions. This would require painkillers or NSAIDS, physical therapy, exercise, epidural steroid injection and lastly a decompressive surgery of spine.
