Avatar m tn I've been having symptoms such as my muscles twitching and popping, my skin feeling like it was burning, fatigue, and feeling dazed. I went to the doctor and they said that I was having an anxiety attack..then I went to another doctor to get a second opinion and they took blood and said that I have a Vitamin D deficiency and I should took take calcium 1~2 times a day. Can a Vitamin D deficiency cause my muscles to twitch and pop and cause fatigue?
Avatar m tn sciatica has been the previous culprit causing pain in back and thigh and leg cramps. This could be pinched nerve in the leg or foot. treatment would include holding the foot slowly in position where the cramp disappears, NSAIDs to relieve the cramp, foot elevation to waist level, soak in warm water, moist heat, wrap in elastic bandage, bed rest to hasten healing, and a orthopaedician consultation followed by a neurologist’s office visit. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn At night laying in bed my back aches like a tooth ache and sometimes my legs feel almost numb from the knees down and I have a strong urge to stretch my legs, I also suffer form leg cramps and Foot cramps on the top of my foot. I think it's all related to the fall. what do you think? and how can I find relief?
Avatar f tn Sometimes there is co-factor, such as a calcium and vitamin D-3 deficiency, however from the symptoms you describe the problem is likely to be vascular. Have this evaluated as soon as possible, because serious life-threatening problems may develop that can be forestalled by appropriate intervention.
6897718 tn?1386145496 Other useful measures are stretching, alternate hot and cold packs or baths, massage and applying vibrators on the feet and legs or on arms and hands before bedtime. Relaxation and meditation can also help. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care! Avatar f tn Animal protein is the richest source of vitamin B 12 and if you are a vegetarian then you may be having vitamin B 12 deficiency. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the symptoms improve. If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a physician and also get nerve conduction velocity tests done to rule out any nerve irritation.
1503777 tn?1289497132 We are just thankfull that he can sleep and get rest at night as this is very tiring during daytime. These spasms and cramps are absolutely involuntary. Sometime it looks like his toes are playing piano and the muscle at the bottom of his foot is stone hard. How can we find out what the cause is and how can we maybe get in touch with someone who has the same symptons.
Avatar f tn u need to wear more supportive shoes trusts me!

1388357 tn?1280189493 I get pretty bad cramping and spacticity in my rt leg and foot. It sometimes gets so bad that I can't lift my rt leg or push it forward to walk. Thankfully this hasn't ever lasted more than a day at a time for me. My rt calf constantly feels like it's going to Charlie horse cramp. Nothing helps it. I also have weird, random twitches and jerks in legs, feet, hands, arms, even torso and neck.
Avatar m tn t been to doc yet, but from my understanding the hurting and aching from the foot comes from dry crack skin and it pulls as you walk and it travels up into the leg area, mines is effecting my calf, but like i said i haven't been seen yet because of insurance issues just been doing research and looking at Dr.Oz lol.
Avatar n tn I have received Epidural steroid injections and am having chronic leg cramps. At first the doctor said it was a rare side effect now after my third injection he is not sure. This is affecting both legs and is all night long. I take 1200 mg of gabapentin at bed time, one benadryl and two leg leg cramp with quinine and it is still unbareable any suggestions?
Avatar n tn There is another thread on Vitamin D deficiency that may be helpful. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/200915?personal_page_id=44844&post_id=post_2860562 I too have a D deficiency, along with a host of other unexplained issues (as you may see in my post on the above thread). I have searched high and low for answers, or a specialist, and haven't found much info. I can tell you all about vitamin D deficiency, but not one thing about what to do about it, or what causes it.
5655076 tn?1417267568 Sometimes I have muscular spasms and pain, Right leg and right hand has less power. Right hand and right leg is getting colder compared to left leg and left hand. There are actually colder in reality.
Avatar f tn I have also hypothyroidism (Thyroid Erfa) and cervical muscular dystonia, chronic sinusitis, periodical atrial fibrillation, arthrosis and possibly reactive arthritis, sometimes polyuria, and an unknown infiltration in my lung. I have some immune deficiency (low IgG3 and lectin pathway of complement). These make me apt to infections. In 2009, I had weak leg muscles. Nowadays I have weak lateral neck muscles due to dystonia.
Avatar f tn m regretting that. The foot and leg cramps have come back and the slight twitching at night as well. This weekend I'm going to pick up more vitamins and start them immediately. It'll take a week or so to build my level back up I'm sure. If not longer. But I know I'll feel better. Actually, now that you mention it, I've been exhausted for the last couple of months too. Now I wonder if that is the cause. Thanks!
Avatar m tn Been having some strange muscle aches over the last few days, mostly in my left leg but some in my left arm as well along with hand cramps rare hand cramps and an occasional painless muscle spasm. The leg ache becomes most noticeable when sitting down, which makes me think I'm compressing a nerve maybe when sitting down. occasionally I'll feel what feels like heat in a small part of my leg (like a part small enough to pinch with two fingers).
