left thumb pain golf

I play a lot of golf and am now experiecing the loss of flexability in the last joint of my left thumb, this thumb supports the golf club during the swing. Also, there was slight tingling sensation above the elbow in the left arm, it has since subsided. What can be the cause of this loss of flexability and what can be done to help prevent it from reoccuring?

I have an extreme pain in my left thumb which has been getting worse over the last seven years. It now it so soar that I cannot touch the outer left area with severe pain. No one seems to know why and what to do? I also have a ripped rotator cup which I will have surgery for that. Recently, I have had my leg go completely numb for several days where they ran some tests and did not come to any conclusion. Any thoughts would help.

I had not played much golf until lately, is it possible that playing golf is causing my foot pain? Can playing golf put pressure and twiting on my left foot to cause Achilles Tendonitis?

I have a really odd sensation happening. My thumb on my left side ( the side that has had all symptoms) is extremely weak and it hurts all the way into my wrist when I pick up or squeeze anything. Pressure of any sort is excruciating. I have done the carpel tunnel wrist test positions that my general prac taught me when I was having neuropathy and urgent care tried to say it wa carpel tunnel. Anyways long story short, no pain when I do this position. Only pain when pressure is applied.

can this be causing me this extreme pain and numbness down my arm and if so how long does this take to go away.they want me to get an epidural which i dont want to do .

now for over 5 years new symptoms have started my neck hurts to even hold my own head up and swells on the left side like a golf ball sends pain through my back if touched when swollen.

She has has sent me for X-rays I will be getting tomorrow and she wants me to see a physiotherapist. She wont tell me 100% till she runs more tests but between the ice and heat sand of course the Tylenol the pain is gone but now I'm feeling pain in my left thumb.

I have a similar problem with my left thumb very much like "fantasticpow Oct 29, 2015". One night I had a lot of pain on the inside of my left bicep right above the elbow and the next morning it didn't hurt as much but had a fair amount of numbness in my arm. It now comes and goes, but can't really figure out why my thumb won't bend when my brain asked it to...

A week after the fall I noticed that my left thumb would bend in the middle and I experienced very bad pain. It would get stuck in that position bent. I had to manually put it back. Since I was able to move it all around, I knew it was not broken. I started taking tylenol and massaged it with aspercream. Then I would bandage it with elastic bandage for a few hours a day to relieve the pain which is very bothersome. Now my thumb does not bend I keep massaging it but I cant bend it.

Also I am pretty sure that this is muscle strain, but I have a pain in my lower left side when I lauhg, sneeze or bend funny. I just playe a unch of disc golf the other day and I am sore in arms and legs from that but I was just wondering if that could be something else. Thanks.

about 2 years ago, i had shingles in my left thumb which was a surprise to me as i had never heard you could get it in your thumb, since then, i keep getting a burning sensation in my thumb in the same place that the blister was, what could cause this, does shingles affect nerve endings or is there some other reason why this could be happening??

My husband has severe pain in his left hip that started about a week ago and has gotten progressively worse. It is now radiating up to his waistline. I am a female who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at age 21 (13 years ago). I'm otherwise pretty active and healthy. I was pulling up my pants a few weeks ago when my left radial side of wrist gave a huge pop! Since I have a popping & painwith every movement of my thumb or twisting of hans/wrist. As well it feels like bones(?) are being pulled apart in the wrist. I also have some numbness on the left side of tip of thumb to the first knuckle. I use a splint, have tried both topical and oral anti inflamatorios, as well as ice. Not getting better.

I was rubbing/massaging my left hand last night during dinner and all of a sudden I had a sharp pain at the base of my index finger's knuckle. It's hurt ever since and there's some swelling. 5 weeks of physical therapy, the pain has lessened 50% and I am off pain killers. I will continue 2 more weeks of physical therapy in the hopes of lessening the pain even further. My question is, when can I safely resume playing golf? I am an avid tournament golfer and Spring has sprung finally in NE Ohio. I have several tournaments scheduled and need to begin practicing as soon as possible. However, I do not want to make my condition worse. Obviously, I am trying to avoid surgery.
