When I open my mouth to chew my left side of my jaw hurts up near the ear, I do get a lot o colds and sore throats, would it be a tumor tho?

had a stabing pain behind left ear, it was between my ear and jaw bone, recently had two teeth pulled near the front. it hurt when i open my mouth and the ice cream made it hurt. I also have a sinus infection and sore throat.

Is it possible to have arthritis in the jaw? I get pain in my jaw right near my ear, and I get pain in my ear, especially the left one. I also get a sharp pains in my head on that side. I am worried. Doctors are not really giving me an answer, and I visited several dentists to check my teeth and for TMJ. My jaw kind of clicks when I move it, but not really any pain in my mouth. Since I have arthritis in so many other joints, is it possible to have it here too?

But 20 minutes later I noticed when I smile or laugh (stretching my jaw in general), the pressure deep in my left ear builds up. As the pressure gets more intense, the hearing in my ear slowly fades. Are the two related and is there anything I can do to fix it?

For the past five days my neck, ear, jaw and head have been hurting, ONLY on the left side. My neck feels achy and slightly stiff, I get a sharp pain that shoots through my ear when I swallow food and drink. I do have some slight swelling on my jaw. The pain is constant with no relief. Update: The pressure has seemingly lowered a lot in my right ear/jaw, maybe this was something that needed healing over time, so i'll wait another 2 days for the left side to make improvements before I send myself to the doctor.

For the past week now I have been having some pain in my jaw. The pain wasn't too bad and I took some motrin and it would go away. Last night the pain was almost unbareable. And it got worse everytime I would lay down. Nothing was helping not even the motrin. The pain seems to start near my ear all the way to the front of my teeth on the lower left side. What can this be? There is no swelling just agonizing pain.

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and thought that I had it under control. But lately I have been having ear pain that feels like pressure in my ears. The left submandibular area is just under the left jaw bone -- not usually near the thyroid. A complex cyst (anywhere in the body) means part fluid, part solid. Would ask your doctor about the location. Rarely would the thyroid extend up that far.

When I try to clear my nasal passage to swallow mucous I feel something near my ears are blocked. ve been having some pain in my jaw (not affiliated with a tooth) and today I noticed a swollen bump right on the jaw line on the right hand side in between the chin and the back part of the jaw near the ear. The pain has been throbbing and has radiated all along the right side of my face, primarily including the inner right ear, the right temple, and of course the right side of my jaw.

So now it hurts from my left ear down into my left jaw as well as a slight feeling of pressure above my left eye. I also can feel like post-nasal drip when it does hurt. It doesn't hurt all the time, which leads me to believe it's not just a tooth ache. It seems to hurt worse in the evening. Sometimes I can even chew on that side without it hurting. Cold makes it really bad. Even just the cold air from the air conditioner in the car can trigger it.
