My left index finger developed a strange twitch stop and starts again been maybe almost 2 months now.....it's really annoying so i sometimes turn my hand into a fist so i wouldn't get that twitch again...i work all day in front of a computer for over ten yrs now...and don't know if it's due to the way i position my hand on the desk...or it's a sign of something more serious.. i'm right handed, by the way.

So for a few days on and off my left index finger has been tingly. It's just the tip of my finger and it is on and off. I work as a server and use my hands a lot. I've been wondering if it's just a burn. It feels like there is a string around the first joint of my finger. Not to tight but just annoying. I can still move it and feel things so it's not completely numb just a little tingly.

thank you for considering my question i have regular twitching in the index, middle and ring fingers of my left hand. it started abt 10-12months back with only my index finger twitching , and abt 2-3 months back , my middle finger started twitching, and from the last few days it has started in my ring finger also. the fingers start twitching randomly wenever left lose .and continue for upto 2-3 minutes. the amplitude of twitching varies from 0.4cm to about 1.5 cm and the frequency varies too .

My wife has been to 3 hand specialists, 2 EMGs, x ray, MRI and nerve entrapment surgery. She has loss movement in her index finger, middle finger and the ring finger. It’s been 1yr+ and continues to get worse. The EMG says no chance of nerve recovery. But not sure why it is getting worse and no one can identify a root cause. No sudden injury or anything. My left forearm hurts and then my index finger separates and freezes in a weird contorting position...........happens often today....then my right hand freezes. Tried massage and bending fingers.....after this happens my left arm becomes tight. Blood pressure goes low............Please keep in mind I had a right radial break and a plate put in 6 years ago. Just started happening on a regular basis but happened in the past on a smaller scale. For 2 days my entire left forearm is aching.

Most of the strength test she did show that my dominate (R) hand was about 50% less than my left. But the index finger is only about 20% of the strength of my left index finger. I had figured the right side was weaker since that is where most of my MS symptoms are. But 50% almost floored me with shock. She also tested me with a task of picking up peg and placing them in holes and then taking the pegs out of the holes and putting them back in the tray.
