Left breast burning pain

Common Questions and Answers about Left breast burning pain

breast

Dear jlavoie, Breast pain is a common breast symptom. The reason for breast pain is not clearly understood, and is not usually associated with breast cancer. Breast pain is sometimes associated with hormonal variations and is then called cyclical breast pain. Noncyclical breast pain does not seem to be linked to hormonal variations and is often localized to one area of the breast tissue. Noncyclical breast pain may or may not be the result of an injury to the breast.

Since Feb. I've been having burning pain in the 3 o'clock area of my left breast. It's not a constant burning - just when the skin is rubbed in my bra or when drying off with a towel. The pain is significant...takes my breath away and wakes me during the night if I roll onto the area during sleep. There is nothing visible on the outside of my skin, no lump, no rash, no discoloration, and my mammo in Jan looked fine. Also the pain is not cyclic with my periods, etc. I do have fibrous tissue...
For the past five days, I started feeling a burning sensation in my left breast, especiall when I bend over or try to turn on the side of the said breast. Sometimes during the day there is no pain at all. At nights it is different.
For the past 2 months I am now having a burning sensation and pain in my left breast, my left arm goes numb and my hands feel cold. It is so uncomfortable that i can not sleep at night without a bra to keep my brest sturdy. I am going to the gyno this week for a mammogram because I am so afraid that it may be cancer. Any help would be appreciated on this. I do not feel any lumps (my MD checked as well and could not feel anything) but I know my body and there is something wrong. Thanks.

The passed 3 months I've had breast pain on the left side, mostly upper quadrant and under my left arm. Also burning pain on the right mid area of my left brest. It is sometimes very sharp pain in that area. My breast often feels heavy, but that seems to come and go. Just the wieght of my arm resting on my body in the night causes me to wake up from the discomfort of my arm and breast. I've been to my dr.
For the past 10-12 days I have been experiencing pain in the side of my left breast. The pain is also in my lower left shoulder blade. It seems to wrap around in a sense and feels very muscular. I have been asking my husband to rub my back and the muscles are obviously twisted up. I do have breast implants and was wondering if it could somehow be related. Ironically, I was just diagnosed with GERD as well. I am 34 years old and other than muscle aches and pains am relatively healthy.
I was in a head on collision in December 2007, and my left breast was badly bruised from the seatbelt. I felt like my breast was on fire and burning from the inside out, the breast became black, purple, blue and yellow very badly bruised. I noticed in March that my left breast now has many hard irregular lumps and it burns constantly. I've had additional mammograms and ultrasounds done, and everyone tells me not to worry. I just don't feel right and I worry of breast cancer.
I have a major concern as for I was diagnosed in 2009 or 2010 with a nice size lump in my left breast and many clusters (several lumps) in my right breast They did a mammogram and ultrasound on them and said that I have Fibrocystic Breast Disease and did not believe it to be cancerous, I did not have any biopsy's done. I have been having major breast pain and burning in both of my breast and it is pretty much in the entire breast. Should I be concerned about this?
Since how long have you had breast pain? Is this pain worse around the time of your period? It is quite normal for a small amount of milk to leak from the breasts several months after discontinuing feeding. However, since two and a half years have elapsed, it is better to do a serum prolactin level test also. Doing a biopsy on a lactating, infected breast may lead to some complications, so make sure that you see a specialist doctor before the procedure is done.
saline implants and the past month or 2 I have had this sudden sharp/shooting pain in my left breast, between the arm pit and the nipple...I have this pain for the past 2 months. I am just worried and afraid to see my doctor..does anyone else have the same problem?
This morning I rolled over to my side and experienced a sharp burning pain only on my left breast. It went away withing seconds. Then I rolled over again to my other side and burned again, same breast. My breast got so hot in the inside it was painful. Should I be concerned? I just dont think there's anything normal about it.
I am 30 years old and for the past week I have been having severe pain and burning in my left breast. I did a self examination and found a lump on the right side of my breast. My mother had breast cancer when she was 45 and when I asked her about her lump hers burned. My mom gas had two aunts pass away from cancer. I'm scared and can't call my doctor until Monday.
Back in May 2012 I had an odd bout of pain, it was as if someone had beaten my upper back, I had pain that seemed to wrap around to the front causing what I would consider tightening in chest or sternum area, it lasted for 3 days,I did not go to Doctor or hospital, its a long story of husband out of town and daughter busy with two babies at home. Did not want to bother anyone. I did think I was having a heart attack, as I do have high cholesterol.
Hello for about 2 weeks now i have been experiencing intermittent pain under my left breast to the side (left) random twinges left by a burning trail. These do subside after a few hours & sometimes i get an ache between my shoulder blade. I was put on omeprazole a month a go as previous to this i had reflux on occasions and the typical heartburn. All these symptoms are very new to me. Today the pain started after eating cheese on toast...

Most of my pains are on my left side, I have left flank pain, just about under the rib cage and pain on the bottom left of my stomach. My stool is for the most part normal, I had my gall bladder removed,(another non cancerous growth) and each day my bowel movements can range from soft to hard, but I attribute that to my surgery several years ago. I had a cat scan done on my Liver stomach normal, spleen normal, pancreas normal.
I have had negative breast mammograms - but off and on have pain in left breast with burning, and in my left shoulder radiating down the outside of my arm. It is difficult to lift my arm higher than my shoulder. I do drink a lot of caffine, i.e., diet cokes between 4-6 cans a day. I am not taking hormone replacement of any kind. About a week ago, I developed a burning, deep achy pain under my left armpit and left breast and sometimes my left shoulder. I have done several self-breast exams and have found nothing to be concerned about. My breast and armpit are not tender to the touch and are not swollen. The pain comes and goes.
