No docs Ive talked to since have heard of this being used for anything other than birth control my but tubs have been tied for years.After having nuvaring in for almost three weeks i started to bleed lite not spotting and its dark and not a pleasant smell at all never have had an Oder like that in 46 years and i cant stand it.Also I had very painful cramps only on left side.

I put my first Nuva Ring in June 17 not coming from any other birth control pills... My friend told me to leave it in for 4 weeks and i wouldn't have a period....While i had the first Nuva Ring in me and my boyfriend had sex.... On July 15 I put my second one in.... s supposed to stop your period if you leave it in continuously and switch out the ring either every 3 or 4 weeks. But everyone is different, it might not work for you. I was on the nuvaring for a month and a half and then I had my period. Right after a month I was so excited and then like 6 weeks in I got a period. I think some women have a very strong cycle and it's hard to stop it with hormonal birth control. It may take a few months or so as well.

i was on the depo for like 3 years and then stopped that in october and went to the nuvaring. i had like 2-3 periods on the nuvaring but i was so inconsisent with it i like screwed up my body and decided just to take it completely out and regulate my body aswell as try to get pregnant.

After 4-5 months I was eventually prescribed the Nuvaring, its in for 4 weeks and then replaced with a new one each month. With much luck, it reduced my cysts to 1 and 1.

The nuvaring although convenient can only be out a max of 4 hrs at any point and time during the 3 weeks it should be in to be effective.

I was told that it was not related to the Ring. Other than the UTI everything was fine and sex was a good as it had always been. 4 weeks later I had my first yeast infection also told that it was not related to the Ring. Following a week of treatment for the yeast infection I attempted to have sex and it was so painful that we had to stop. I know your period isn't supposed to come on until you take the NuvaRing out, but I also know you can experience some bleeding while on birth control. I was on nuvaring for 2 years. In for 21 days. Out for 7. Never ever ever had sex during the 7 out. New one in for 21 days. I was very careful. And then march I took it out and nothing happened. So to rule it out before calling the doctor I took a test. Sure enough I'm pregnant. So if I can get pregnant aftrr being so carefull I wouldnt rule it out for you. Wait about 2 weeks and test. Or call your doctor and ask for guidance. There is always plan b if you in the time frame for it to work.

Its a ring that is inserted vaginally and the hormones are released there. you leave it in for 3 weeks, out for one, then get a new one for the next 3 weeks etc. Maybe try that. As fro your current situation... it really depends. Do you aready have kids? If so did you conceive right away? If so you might but because of your age, you woudlnt have quite a high chance. no sign of my period the ring off week, so I took high doses of vitamin C to start it. I bled really heavy for 5 days. In March I had a very light period for 3 days. Its unlikely you are more than 4 weeks pregnant if you had a negative test (and it was performed correctly). Definitely call your doctor to find out what is causing your symptoms - they need to be investigated and there is no need to be embarrassed. A "letdown" only happens after baby is born - it is not a pregnancy symptom.

So I got my nexplanon removed march 4th, I went and got the nuvaring. Needless to say I forgot it in my car for a few days had intercourse with hubby then remembered I had not put in my nuvaring... dumb me I know!!! Ive been readin online and it says to effectivly switch from implant to nuvaring it needs to be in for 7 days before implant removal.

Or should I leave the ring in, and then take it out for a week to have my period then?
