Avatar n tn The above feeding method follows how some breast feed infants are feed only breast milk until about 9 months old then are introduced regular finger foods. At about 6 months old, then slowly reintroduce foods and see how she does. Hoped this helped you.
Avatar f tn it gave me vomiting etc..
Avatar n tn I am a 38 yr old female with bloating, gas and farting on a daily basis, what is wrong with me?
Avatar f tn t know what your diet is like but you should maybe keep a diary of the foods you eat and see what might be causing the gas. Do you drink alot of carbonated drinks, eat a lot of fruit and vegetables?
Avatar n tn Could be irritation to some foods. Fiber foods often has this result in many. Lactose intolerance is another offender, even just oil or fats in food. The best way to identify what causes it is to pretty much cut out almost all foods limiting to just a few things that don't cause gas. Then ever 2-4 days try 1 new food just once and see if you get gas over the next 2 days. Then repeat. It can take a while to test all foods this way. It works though.
Avatar n tn If you are still taking the Tetracycline, go back to your doctor and tell him/her that it is causing you these problems, and ask to be put on something else. You obviously have a lot of gas in the stomach area, so did you try eliminating certain foods from your diet? Foods are usually the culprit when it comes to gas. But I'm a BIG fan of second opinions, and sounds like you need one. Did your GI ever do an endoscopy?
1176471 tn?1263733305 ve made a good first step as far as experimenting with your diet to see if some foods are causing or at least adding to your symptoms. I would suggest when you start adding some of these foods back into your diet, add them one at a time and slowly (at least a couple of days in between adding a new item) - that way you will be able to have a better idea if that certain food is a culprit.
Avatar m tn So I've been having, over the past 6 months or so, on-and-off periods of very uncomfortable gas movements in my intestines. I can't seem to link this with any sort of foods; it always comes in the afternoon, some time between 1 and 9 PM, and lasts a couple of hours. I feel gas moving through my intestines, and it's very uncomfortable, but it doesn't seem to actually get out, at least not very quickly.
Avatar n tn You should first see a doctor about your problem no doubt. But also what helps with gas is eliminating foods that cause you gas. Taking Gas-X will help. If your gut is low in good bacteria it can be helpful. Buy Activia or Dannon Yogurts and eat sauerkraut. My doctor put me on an elimination diet to help me find out what foods were causing me gas. I just posted this website under another post. Look under diets, but please get a check up. www.gicare.
Avatar m tn not the least of which is anxiety. Gave her a sheet on gas-causing foods, but still want to read up more on gluten.. Thanks.
5615074 tn?1378316840 As much as I'm sure the pressure is hurting since I was like that yesterday, I suggest getting up an walking around a bit and releasing whatever gas needs to come out. I was always told by my mom that has pains us so much cuz it's trying to move around food that's slowly digesting down there still and walking helps with digestion. It usually helps me to walk around. And I agree with the tums advice, it helps!
Avatar f tn I know onion makes me gassy when im pregnant. Just try eliminate the foods that could be causing it. Things that dont effect you normally can mess with you while your pregnant.
Avatar n tn 1.Sulfur containing foods (canarys-eye-view.
Avatar f tn Also, try not to eat fast because you can unintentionally swallow a lot of air causing the gas and discomfort. If there are certain foods that seem to worsen your symptoms, try to avoid them for now. You should also talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for anti-nausea medicine like Zofran. You can take a dose at night which will help alleviate the nausea. They may also suggest pepcid to help with the gas/reflux.
Avatar f tn Bookworm, it's safe. But if you're having to resort to using it, it sounds like you're experiencing a lot of gas production and it's uncomfortable. Have you looked for the underlying cause? Are there other symptoms going on? Many times when someone produces a fair amount of uncomfortable gas it could be due to a food/foods that their system can't process well. Have you tried to exclude foods to see if that could be causing the problem?
Avatar n tn I have had upper abdominal pain for nearly two years. Over this time I have been given every test available. They include four endoscopies (one ultrasound), three cat scans, thoracic and lumbosacral x-rays, cardio-stress test, gastric emptying, bone scan, MRI, capsule study, laparoscopy, swallowing study, esophageal manometry & 24 hour ph study. The results have either been “normal” or at least nothing observed that can explain the pain.
9243007 tn?1402936617 Google foods that cause gas and stay away from those foods. I had to do that with my last pregnancy BC the doctor suggested it to stop gas pains.
5615074 tn?1378316840 I'm probably 98% sure the pains I have every once in a while are gas pains, but how can I get it out?
Avatar f tn First, a little background: my gastroenterologist diagnosed me with IBS when I was about 16-17 (I'm 21 now), although he didn't do any particular tests. I used to have stomach aches, gas, bloating, and almost exclusively constipation. Every once in a while, I do get diarrhea, but that's pretty rare. Now, I don't usually get that many stomach aches, but I still have the bloating and sometimes gas (depending on what I eat).
Avatar n tn You might have more food issues. I had trouble with trapped gas and my doctor had me do an elimination diet for foods that cause gas. Try this website out and click the Diets link and look for the diet that helps detect gassy foods. www.gicare.com Also for me I had got spasms and that also held the gas in. My doctor gave me spasm medication. Since I have been off wheat I have no need for the pills now.
Avatar n tn http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/16645?personal_page_id=801 Sulphur gas may be from small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) - what can be confirmed by breath test with lactulose done by gastroenterologist. Smell iteself should go away with low-sulphur diet (avoiding red meat, eggs, certain sauces, etc). To avoid constipation: 1. drink enough fluids 2. eat foods with enough fibers: bread, green vegetables, cereals, avoid sugary food 3.
Avatar m tn Also, you may want to contact an gastroenterologist to determine what other conditions may be causing this foul smelling gas in your system. He may prescribe an antibiotic or some other medication to help calm your stomach and release this gas out of your system. One other thing you may consider trying: You stated that you had loose stools. Try taking an over the counter remedy called Metamucil which will help bulk up your stools and make them more solid.
Avatar f tn I forgot to mention, or really clarify, one other thing. If nothing I've said works, consider how when a person is going to go swimming, for example, they have to wait a half-hour before getting in the water, or they'll get stomach cramps. Likewise, when people eat a big meal, they should not engage in some rigorous activity soon afterwards... instead, let the meal settle for a while, like an hour or two maybe.
Avatar n tn That seems to have the same gas effect. No better or worse. When I stop all baby foods and just breast feed, she is fine. What can be causing her all this gas, will it go away as her body gets used to the food, and what should I do? I am worried she may have something seriously wrong with her.
