I have spent years with drs doing test after test...xrays, cts, mris all to be told they couldn't find the cause of all my pain, memory problems, etc. I think what scares me most is the memory issues. If he's really getting rambunctious, you have to take his hands and look him in the eyes and tell him firmly a couple times what you want. You can try to post a reminder board or have his teachers help him write down his homework or hand it in. You can try to sort of do the remembering for him. There is a book called Learning How to Slow Down and Pay Attention-- its a book geared for children with ADHD, and it has some good tips. I read it to my son-- he loves it.

Did they do things like to look at test scores and questions to see if she was missing very easy answers at the end of the test? Does she have trouble finishing tests? Does her teacher fill like she tests below her ability? By the way, you don't know something one day and forget it the next. Any lapse of short term memory that would do that would be so serious, that it would be noticeable in everything she does.
