Basically your treatment options are observation only, retinal laser treatment, and Lucentis/Avastin injections. The actual best treatment will depend on your individual findings. If you have a true ischemic CRVO (and not just a partial CRVO, or non-ischemic CRVO) you overall prognosis for visual recovery is very, very bad. Often, visual acuity end up at 20/200, 20/400 or worse. I've seen a few very unusual cases that did better, but that is not the norm.

I had EVRF Laser treatment in mid June (2 months and 3 weeks at the time of this post), to remove my greater saphenous vein.

I am a 43 year old woman who was diagnosed with a central retinal vein occlusion after having blurred vision in my eye for about a week. I'm not diabetic, I don't have high blood pressure, I'm not a smoker and I'm not overweight. I do have slightly high cholesterol and I have been on birth control pills for 20 years.
