Question - I get laser tattoo removal treatments every 6-8 weeks and pre-treatment the technician uses an ice roller (looks like a lint-roller but the roller is cold metal) and rubs it on the tattoo and does this again after the laser is performed. Because the laser can cause pinpoint bleeding I am concerned that she didn't sanitize the roller before she rubbed it on my tattoo (which was bleeding). Is there any risk here? I also had tattoo laser removal and after my second treatment developed this rash. Initially it was around my tattoo and is still the main affected area, however it spread through across my body. I have seen a dermatologist nearly every month for the past 8 months and we have tried creams steroids anti histamines etc and nothing seems to be working! I've even had biopsy done on the affected areas. My dr is left scratching his head and I'm obviously still not permanently treated!

I m lookin for another tattoo removal here where i live and that uses a more new laser. I know the laser that this place I was going use is very very old, but is a Q-switched (at least I belive so). I m going to another place that uses the medc6. Please any advices on this will be helpful, I really want the pink/red pigementation to go away even if it turns white, I prefer white than red, but today is 2 weeks from de procedure and it is still here.

Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!

The femtosecond laser is being used to make the cataract incision into the eye, the capsule opening in the lens (capsulorhexis), and to soften the cataract. Then the phaco/aspiration portion of the lens removal is the same as standard cataract surgery.

I would wait a minimum of 3 months after the cataract surgery- then it's fair game for a yag laser IF you have significant posterior capsule opacification that is decreasing your vision. It only takes about 2 -3 months for the lens to seat fairly well in the capsule. I suspect your capsule may not be that cloudy and that it why yag laser is not being considered now.
