Avatar m tn Been to specialist for laser treatment. Treatments have not helped. Doctor wants to operate to remove blood. I am a diabetic, have heart problems. Are there any other treatment available other than surgery? Would blood behind eye eventually clear up on its own without surgery?
Avatar n tn Is it pretty common for the laser surgery (to remove scar tissue) to not be successful? The doctor says I have a "tag" hanging and will have to be removed by surgery. Sounds like the laser surgery was not properly done. Thanks for your response.

Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!

Avatar f tn I have a solution for you. I think that your problem is hemosiderin staining--your skin has been stained by your blood. I had the same problem from a black eye I got from having eye surgery. Try googling "hemosiderin staining candela laser" to locate a small study showing that an AlexTriVantage laser can remove this type of discoloration. I used the doctor locator feature on the website to find a dermatologist in my area.

Avatar f tn Hi there. I don’t think that laser surgery could remove the scar tissue of the sciatic nerve. you need to consult a neurosurgeon for correct and updated information on this. Tae care.
Avatar n tn I have similar thing, nothing bad enough that I've ever had anything done about it. But if I was going to, I do believe that a medical dermabrasion may help or chemical peel. There are different levels of chemical peels and insurance won't cover bcuz it's considered cosmetic. Your best bet is to see a plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Avatar m tn Hi Darren. In muy case they opened me to remove a 42mm x 35mm stone, they said they could not "locate" the stone and they ended up cutting out my entire kidney. Later I learned that somehow it is not that easy as we would assume to open the kidney and look for stones inside. Plus 2 weeks after my surgery I was producing stones and sand in my kidney (the only one left). It is too soon for any type of surgery and I would not think you are ready for that.
7560840 tn?1392007755 It is not likely that lasik would be able to correct all of your myopia. However depending on the thickness of your cornea and its radius of curvature and the length of your eyes a type surface laser (PRK) might reduce the numbers 6-7 diopters to -4 and -1.00 to 0.00 You would need to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist that specializes in corneal/refractive surgery.
Avatar f tn Can laser surgery to dissolve film after cataract surgery (secondary) contribute to problems with glare? I had cataract surgery both eyes about 2 yrs. ago to correct glare problems (no blurring) That helped about a year & then it came back. I had laser tx. to remove film about 4 months ago, it has not helped. Then I had eyelid surgery about a month ago to help ptosis. Does it take a while for my eyes to recover from the laser? It is a little better now but barely.

Avatar n tn I was injured, which was one reason for the replacement surgery. The second reason I had the surgery was because of advanced avascular necrosis of my TMJ's. One question I have is this, "Is it possible that avascular necrosis spreads...even though the joint was removed during the replacement surgery"? The second question I have is this, "Is it possible that (from replacement surgery) a person could have a bone infection"?

Avatar n tn I'm not obese, but could lose about 10lbs and tone up a lot. My arms are huge for my body frame and so is my pultruding tummy. I read that we can't really target a certain area to lose the fat and we have to lose overall body fat... But I really just want to lose the flab in my upper arms and stomach without losing my *** or breast. I know that liposuction and tummy tuck is an option for me but I cannot afford the cost and all the complications that come with it.
Avatar f tn Discovered in Germany. Polymethylmethacrylate micro beads. Spreads out below dermis in fat. Is permanent and hard to remove if nodules form Cost $400 per injection site. Allergy testing not known. Will not ever be approved in US.
Avatar f tn Excess body fat causes the fat cells in the body to become larger, according to a study done by Lester Salans in the Journal of Clinical Investigation. This causes the fat pockets to further protrude through the tissue. Losing this fat will reduce this protrusion, although it won’t eliminate it completely. Start a weight training program designed to tone and firm the muscles in your legs. Squats and lunges are exercises that target the leg muscles.

Avatar f tn I was told that they are going use the laser to remove the fibroids. My husband had a vasectomy over 25 years, so I can't get pregnant. Avatar n tn Also, procedures such as micro dermabrasion and chemical peels only remove thin layers of skin. Laser resurfacing uses a laser to treat deep layers of skin. The procedure is performed in an outpatient facility or, at times, in a hospital. An individual might receive general anesthesia for treatment of deeper layers of the face, and recovery time can take from a few minutes to a few hours. The doctor moves the laser over the area that requires treatment.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you might have some hemosiderin staining--i.e., your skin has been stained by your blood. I had that problem following eye surgery. In some cases, this type of staining can be permanent--but don't worry, I have a solution for you. Google "candela laser" to find the company's website. You'll find a small-scale study in which the AlexTriVantage laser successfully removed "permanent" hemosiderin stains.
Avatar m tn For larger warts, surgery may be necessary to remove the lesions. A famous surgical option would be that of laser. Although laser surgery is expensive, it has proven to be effective. The warts are physically burned off with the laser treatment. Another alternative treatment would be cauterization. In this procedure, the affected tissue is destroyed with a hot instrument.
