Avatar f tn I did everything and even went to Laser Spine Institute for relief. I had surgery on my neck and lower back in July. I still have pain and have pain in my two fingers. My scapula is the main problem which is in right shoulder. Diagnos with a winging scapula. What can I do for treatment for winging scapula's??
Avatar m tn In these conditions the bone in the spinal cord enlarges causing neck and back pain. Laser surgery can be used to treat radiculopathy or nerve entrapment syndromes caused due to these bone spurs. Laser surgery is minimally invasive, with less blood loss and small incision and early recovery. Consult a neurosurgeon for further advise on this. Best.

Avatar f tn After way too many trips to Emergency Room for a Foley catheter, I had laser surgery and then cold knife surgery. Surgery alone almost never fixes a stricture permanently. What finally worked is a second cold knife surgery followed by 6 months with a temporary stent (Spanner). I took the Spanner out March 30 this year and have had NO retention problems since that date and my flow rate is above normal for my age (77) and has remained unchanged since the Spanner was removed.
Avatar m tn Yes! me. I wound up having jaw surgery (btw it didn't fix it) but the TMJ was making my ear messed up. I had horrible dizzy spells and nausea along with the swelling. I kept going to the ear doctor, I'd get drops Lidocaine to help numb things as the pain was awful and the noise in that ear was terrible. My hearing improved too! The surgery didn't work out for me, I still have alot of problems. I do cold laser and chiropractic adjustments to the jaw.
Avatar n tn Does the laser surgery really work? What if i have been shaving it for years, would the courseness efffect it?

Avatar m tn Many doctors are finding that low level laser treatment can help heal neck pain very quickly and very efficiently.
Avatar m tn Sorry to hear about your situation. My surgery was not laser the doctor's team was great. They never promised or guaranteed to alleviate pain post surgery only that my particular surgery would be necessary to support the affected area. They went in through my throat and spent 2 hours with the discectomy I spent one night in the hospital and went home with an electronic bone stimulator. I have a good fusion going and I am off all meds except for the Tylenol and ibuprofen.
Avatar m tn Can yoiu give us more information how you feel. Are you still in major pain? How long ago was the surgery? I assume it was a low back fusion, how many levels? How does you spine feel other than your surgery? You might need a good physical therapist, if you can find one with a cold laser machine it helps me.

Avatar f tn No questins here. I just had Laser surgery yesterday, performed by Dr. Vosoghi. I have been in his care for approximately one month and could not be more impressed. Demeanor is professional, chairsidemanner so kind, highly educated and knowledgable, and I do not think I could be in beter hands. If you need a specialist, and you are within traveling distance of his offices, I highly recommend him.
Avatar m tn I talked to my surgeon and he told me this is normal as it is due to retina scarring due to laser but I am getting concerned because laser scars show radioactivity like activity and not these kind of flashes. Should I get worried that PVD is happening in my eye and pulling on latticed retina??????

Avatar n tn My question is, as I am so shortsighted, is it OK to have the Laser Cataract Surgery? I ask this because the Laser Cataract Surgery is said to be less traumatic to the eye. I wonder if Dr John C Hagan III could answer this question, as I know his son also works in his practice and he is a retinal expert? Also do you fit the New nanoflex IOL?

Avatar f tn The U-shaped tear is also called a Horshoe Tear. If retina doc is recommending laser (aka "barrier laser" to form a barrier of laser around the tear), then I'd do it. Sure, there are risks. Nothing is risk free, but the risk of not treating is much much higher than the risk of doing the procedure. Sincerely, Timothy D. McGarity, M.D.
