Avatar f tn I have recently had a cataract removed from my left eye and a lens implant (power 13.5D). Since the surgery I have had a lot of floaters and my vision seems to be getting worse. I have a catarct in my right eye and also will be needing surgery shortly for it. I am concerned about having these same problems with my right eye as I have with my left eye. Sometimes I also see flashes of light when my eyes are shut. Is there anything that can be done to save my eye sight?
Avatar n tn My laser treatment - surgery - is planned for January. Has anyone had laser surgery for genital warts removal before? I am worried about the scarring and the recovery part of the surgery. My Dr. said I would be in bed for about 15 days following the surgery, and that it would take about 1 month to heal completely. I've heard about horror stories... bad scarring... tissue sticking together... skin not being the same afterwards, and complicated intercourse following the surgery.
Avatar n tn Thank you very much Dr. Fazio for the information about femto second laser cataract surgery. I wondered if you knew of a highly reputable cataract surgeon located in the Denver, CO region (preferably the Ft. Collins area) who is very experienced in the use of the femto second laser? Thank you again.
Avatar n tn It is best that you have this checked by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist for proper evaluation. Scar revision through surgery and laser treatments may be indicated. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn On January 3, 2012, I had to go through the YAG laser procedure to get rid of the scar tissue from the cataract surgery in my left eye. Since the first YAG procedure in January, I have gone through this procedure two more times, January 17, and February 14, 2012. I have been looking for information on this and I cannot seem to find it. What I need to know is how many times does a person have to undergo YAG laser before it finally causes damage to the eye, more specifically the retina?
Avatar m tn Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery is no better than regular cataract surgery. They both utilize phacoemulsification. To imply no ultrasound is used is false as the surgeon still needs to place the phaco probe into the eye. A toric lens is more reliable than cutting the cornea with limbal relaxing incisions, but if a small amount of astigmatism correction is needed then I would say go with Laser Assisted LRI. The best way to ensure accuracy is to have really good preoperative measurements.
Avatar m tn She believes they did some laser work on her eye when she was brought in. Is it possible to do some retinal detachment surgery with a laser so soon after the accident? Without knowing this about Friday's work on her eye, I urged her to go back into the hospital on Monday, which she did. She says that they did some more laser work, and as they took the patch off, her vision was blurry. Is it common to do two laser repairs only a few days apart? Is blurry vision a good thing?
20849194 tn?1537445385 Absolutely not! ICL is surgery INSIDE the eye thus risk of infection, bleeding, small risk loss of eye. Also ICL has been associated with cataract formation and cornea damage. LASIK is much safer. HOWEVER there is a new procedure that may be better than either one and it's called the SMILE procedure (Small intrastromal lenticule extraction). Find a surgeon that does that procedure and get a consult.
Avatar f tn AFTER CATERACT SURGERY A MONTHE AGO [BOTH EYES] I DEVELOPED "SECONDARY CATARACTS" BEHIND THE NEW IMPLANTS. DO THEY DISSOLVE IN TIME OR MUST I GET THE LASER SURGERY [YAG]?
Avatar n tn One brochure for the YAG laser capsulotomy states, that only a small portion of the cloudy posterior capsule will be removed by the laser. However, some online information seems to imply that the entire cloudy posterior capsule will be removed. So, how much of the cloudy posterior capsule will be removed? Thanks for any info.

Avatar n tn http://www.about-eyes.com/laser-assisted-cataract-surgery-and-risk-of-macular-swelling/ "Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery and Risk of Macular Swelling" His skepticism matches the reports I've seen of large scale studies over the last year or so indicating that laser cataract surgery so far merely has been shown to have different complications than non-laser surgery overall (which are rare in both types), and hasn't proven its benefits overall yet for most patients.
Avatar n tn Am I looking at another two weeks of being still? He has only talked about doing laser treatment. I have read conflicting information on the web and will have to wait until at least Monday to get that question answered. Any help would be much appreciated.

Avatar f tn My pressure was normal in both eyes, but my doctor recommended that I have the laser surgery for this condition. I had the last laser surgery done on my left eye on May 19, 2009. Since then I have noticed that when I am in bright light or it is shining in my eyes, I see what looks like a piece of fuzz when I blink my left eye. It is only in this eye. At first I thought I actually had a piece of fuzz on my eyelash but realized this was not the case.
Avatar f tn It's not likely that surface laser will get rid of -10 myopia thus the glasses will be thinner but still needed. Whether he wants to take on these risks with only one eye is his to make. I would get a 2nd and 3rd opinion one from retina eye MD and a different cornea/refractive surgeon.

Avatar f tn No questins here. I just had Laser surgery yesterday, performed by Dr. Vosoghi. I have been in his care for approximately one month and could not be more impressed. Demeanor is professional, chairsidemanner so kind, highly educated and knowledgable, and I do not think I could be in beter hands. If you need a specialist, and you are within traveling distance of his offices, I highly recommend him.
