and almost get rid of the indentions that stretch marks make. this laser costs like $500 a session but you only need 1-2 sessions. (i'm saving up for this one) also, the lasers are pretty much worthless if your stretch marks are already white. and typically they take about 6 months to turn white. if they are red is when you have hope.. all of this was told to me at a consultation appointment i had at a plastic surgery place in my town..

Hun, sorry to say this, but like April2 said, you can't get rid of stretch marks. With certain products you use, they become less noticeable but they never completely go away. The reason you got the stretch marks is probably not from the stretching in dance, its probably because of stupid puberty. When you hit a growth spurt, which you probably did, your skin stretches more than it wants to and stretch marks form.

Anything to get rid of stretch marks? Or take away the redness?

I don't think you can get rid of the stretch marks - unless laser treatments or something of that sort can help (I don't know). But zinc deficiency and high cortisol levels are two reasons people get stretch marks. Look it up on the internet. Do you have white spots on your fingernails (zinc deficiency)? Many people need a gluten free diet to start absorbing zinc again. Look into it and see what rings a bell for you. Good luck and hope this helps!

s commen for every women or at least majority of women to get stretch marks. I use cocoa butter 2-4 times a day. Once you have stretch marks they will always be there. The oil helps the marks not be so noticeable and red\purple.

So I use palmers cocoa buyer stretch mark lotion and I have embarrassing stretch marks on my breasts. Any idea histo get rid of them? Or will they not go away till after birth? I only have then there.

Bio oil really worked for me I got stretch marks even when I was putting lotion on my belly every day twice a day so after I had my baby i seen bio oil and so I started putting that on and it faded my stretch marks almost completely some all the way

Its a 50/50 chance you will get them or you wont. The only way to completely get rid of them is to have laser removal. But in time they will deminish into these little silvery lines. But for at least the next year they are going to be purple. But look at the bright side...

I got them too, not as bad as I thought they would be. My mom had lots of stretch marks and I was hoping I wouldnt get them as bad. I am going to try bio oil after bub is here, i heard it doesnt do much until they start healing.

Nothing will get rid of stretch marks except laser removal. The lotions help with the itching but it will not make them go away. Over time they will get lighter and turn a silvery color but the bright side...I got them with my first pregnancy and never got them again. It's genetics as to wether you get them or not.

But by using lotions and keeping your skin hydrated you can lessen the appearance of them. If you are going to get stretch marks there really isn't anything you can do to totally prevent them.
