Avatar m tn Various methods used for mole removal are excision and cauterization. Although laser removal has been tried for moles, it is not usually the method of choice for most deep moles because the laser light doesn't penetrate deeply enough. You can get this mole evaluated from a dermatologist and get it evaluated. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar m tn Of course laser scar removal can be used on the genitals to treat scars since laser removal is commonly used in removing warts caused by HPV. From my personal experience, laser therapy is not bad at all and involves very little pain after a session of laser treatment although the pain might be a little annoying when the treatment begins (it feels like bacon grease that occasionally splashes up and hits you in the wrist when you're cooking; nothing too painful).

Avatar n tn Or is it raised due to there being left over mole deeper in the skin? Also, if I leave this scar alone, and just keep applying vitamin E oil/cream and using my Silicone Strips, will it flatten and revert to the normal skin tone overtime? I'd appreciate it if anyone took the time to respond, I need some opinions.

Avatar f tn Hi, I have a chickenpox scar on my nose since i was 10, I'm 23 now. Been to a skin clinic to do something about the scar, it appears greyish black, done a biopsy test, and the hyperpigmentation is deep within the dermis. I have done 2 times of laser on it and applied hydroquinone for about a month. But it still remains unchanged, are there any other options?
Avatar m tn Hello, Keloid is a heaped-up scar that rises quite abruptly above the rest of the skin and become red, purple and irritated. You should have this examined from a dermatologist and discuss the treatment plans with him.

Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!
Avatar f tn d advise everyone to steer clear of laser hair removal on the upper lip. I have very pale skin and was informed that I was a perfect candidate for laser hair removal on the face; however, the skin on the upper lip is far too sensitive for laser hair removal, whatever your skin tone. I have spent a fortune on creams such as Clinique's dark spot corrector with little effect. The issue is that the damage caused by the laser is so deep no topical solution is effective.
Avatar n tn Hello everyone, i got a hair laser removal i got burnt both legs now it's healed dark brown some are pinkish. is my skin will go normal after the post laser burns? please advice because it's really frustrating.
Avatar n tn Otherwise you can go in for glycolic peals, laser treatments and pressure dressings. Severe scarrings may need skin grafting by a plastic surgeon. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

1116823 tn?1303072844 It was a common wart that you get on your hands and legs.. But this procedure was more of a scar removal procedure - the scar was left over from a previous biopsy. If I wound the skin (make a small incision with a knife or blade) and reattach, then put a bandied on would the reconnect?
Avatar n tn As for laser therapy, this may be of use also but look for a dermatologist with a good experience in terms of performing laser procedures. Laser therapy may burn skin and cause discolorations also. Bleaching creams may be used also but with close supervision as this may be abrasive.
Avatar n tn Hello doctor. I really hope I can get some helpfull advice, since I haven't found any in a year. I had gotten a tatto on my thigh about a year ago and it got infected. (MRSA probably) I got 3 boils on the area. Went to a doct, was prescibed antiobiotics and all went away. The only problem is that I have 3 purplish scars left that just won't go away no matter what I do. They are a little unflattened, and dark purple.
Avatar f tn s been to doctors and had laser treatment to reduce the scar tissue but nothing seems to work. Do you think laser hair removal would help? It is extremely painful and embarassing for him & I would like to help find a solution for him. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Since my situation has to do with hair follicles, I was wondering about the safe ways of hair removal and if that too irritates my skin. Also, what should I apply to my skin pre and post hair removal? Another concern is the dark spots the boils left behind...what should I do to them now that i can't use cosmetics or strong products that would fade them quickly?
Avatar m tn I reached puberty a few years ago and a few hairs started to grow out of the scar, so i keep shaving the hairs off, im not too woried about the hairs as i will buy a laser hair removal kit when i move out of my parents house, to avoid embarasment. I want to know how i got this scar and if there is anything that will reduce its look. I have a theory that my penis might of been stuck to my scrotum when i was born and a doctor cut the skin connecting the two, could this be true?
Avatar m tn IF the scar is interfering with vision, sometimes a rigid lens may be used to smooth the cornea and allow vision. Other options for the scar include surgical removal with a laser if it is superficial or if it is deep, a corneal transplant may enable clear cornea. Speak with your doctor about the best options given its appearance for improving vision. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
6346111 tn?1620504166 Hi, certain procedures are done for scar removal like dermabrasion, phototherapy including blue and red light, photodynamic therapy and laser treatment like laser resurfacing can be tried. I will advise you to seek help of a dermatologist who specializes in skin problems or a plastic surgeon, under whose guidance you could adopt the therapy that suits you the best. Regards.
