laser

Avatar n tn If so, there are a number of treatments available. One very popular remedy has been laser skin resurfacing which helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, scars, lines and hyper pigmentation surrounding the eyes and mouth. It can also be used to treat areas on the cheeks. Laser resurfacing does not cause as much discomfort, bruising, scaring or bleeding compared to other cosmetic surgery procedures.
Avatar f tn Microdermabrasion would probably help. I had this done once and it makes the skin quite smooth by scrubbing away a layer of skin. You can buy over-the-counter microdermabrasion products but I've tried them and they are no where near as good, and actually seemed to irritate more because they are very harsh. If you get it done professionally, they use very fine crystals and do it in such a way that it doesn't (or shouldn't) irritate the skin.
Avatar n tn Is it safe to have laser treatments (titan, thermage) and chemical peels while breastfeeding? Please advice! I'm 42 years old and my face is looking terrible after pregnancy and although love breasfeeding, I feel I need also a little TLC for myself! Thanks!
Avatar n tn As for laser therapy, this may be of use also but look for a dermatologist with a good experience in terms of performing laser procedures. Laser therapy may burn skin and cause discolorations also. Bleaching creams may be used also but with close supervision as this may be abrasive.
Avatar n tn What about surgery procedures? A Laser procedure to rejuvenate the blood vessels under the skin to erase the purple color? Could I have fat injected under the eyes to give a fuller look and to hide the blood vessels from being seen through the skin? Bleaching? What have you experienced yourself? Please help. Any thoughts and/or advice on what could be done to rid of my dark circles would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn You should consult a dermatologist and get prescribed various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Also then the possibility of acanthosis nigricans has to be ruled out. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period. I hope it helps.

Avatar f tn Hello, There are many procedures of mole removal like by shave or deep elliptical excision, excision with cauterization (a tool is used to burn away the mole) and laser removal. Your dermatologist may choose excision with or without stitches, depending on the depth of the mole and the type of cosmetic outcome desired. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
1598706 tn?1297442058 You should go to a dermatologist and have it removed by them. They will also run a biopsy on it to make sure it's not a skin cancer or anything like that. DONT try to remove it yourself. Dont worry, just go to your primary doctor and/or a Dermatologist.
Avatar m tn While laser treatment is commonly offered and may require several appointments, other dermatologists think lasers are not the best method for removing moles because the laser only cauterizes or, in certain cases, removes very superficial levels of skin. Moles tend to go deeper into the skin than non-invasive lasers can penetrate. After a laser treatment a scab is formed, which falls off about seven days later, in contrast to surgery, where the wound has to be sutured.
Avatar m tn My eye pressure is high due to scar tissue which seems to be medication related. My opthalmologist wants to do a procedure with laser, (also I have a cataract which is medication related) but he has vacilated between doing the laser versus removing the cataract. He seems to be very worried that I will have a secondary infection post op which could lead to some disastrous consequences.. so right now I am in limbo.
