Avatar f tn Moisturizers may even out the skin and keep the skin smooth. This may improve the appearance of the skin. I would not suggest that you apply any medicated creams on the area. If the symptoms persist, you would need to consult your doctor. Let us know if you need any other information. Regards.
Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.

Avatar m tn Hi, I scraped off a pimple on my nose( I know I shouldn't have) and it left behind a small circular scrape on my nose around the size of the "O" on your keyboard. When I first got the injury, I applied hydrogen peroxide and didn't put on a band aid. Throughout the time I've put cocoa butter on the wound after it healed. Now it's been 5 weeks, and I still have a pinkish reddish spot the same size sitting to the center of my nose.
Avatar m tn s deeper than my regular surface of skin, like it got scraped or dug out, but I swear there was no cut or injury like that. It seems to have just formed after this rashstayed a bit longer than expected.. I don't know what it is and I'd like to know if it can return to normal without surgery or laser. I had this weird red rash on the side of my armpits. It's going away slowly by using antibiotic creams.

Avatar n tn Hi, Scars are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin (or other tissue) after injury. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. Because the body cannot re-build the tissue exactly as it was, the new scar tissue will have a different texture and quality than the surrounding normal tissue. An injury does not become a scar until the wound has completely healed.
Avatar n tn If so, there are a number of treatments available. One very popular remedy has been laser skin resurfacing which helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, scars, lines and hyper pigmentation surrounding the eyes and mouth. It can also be used to treat areas on the cheeks. Laser resurfacing does not cause as much discomfort, bruising, scaring or bleeding compared to other cosmetic surgery procedures.
Avatar m tn I frankly don't get it. You're 21 but you don't know about all this? It is PERFECTLY normal to have hair on the base of the penis, on your scrotum, and on your penis shaft. It is also PERFECTLY NORMAL to have that straight line under your penis. All men have it. Unless you have a history of trauma/injury/inflammation under your penis, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Removing the hair on the shaft is totally fine, as long as you're not using hair laser removal.

Avatar n tn They affect only the top layer of skin (epidermis). Second-degree burns extend into the middle layer of skin (dermis). Third-degree burns involve all three layers of skin. Most superficial burns heal within about two weeks and don't usually leave a scarf. For these kind of burns; you can apply antibiotic cream such as silver sulfadiazine (Silvadene). It will prevent infection and help in fast healing.
Avatar m tn I got laser treatment where my doctor treated it with a weaker dosage of laser once, and last week I got a stronger dosage of laser on the bruise. It seemed to have the turned the pigment darker. Is this normal or should I stop getting laser treatment?

I now have red skin which is so upsetting as I think it is telangiestica? I have tried everything I know…taking vitamin e c zinc b grapeseed extract, and applying rose hip oil calendula arnica, to NO EVAIL. I know laser may help but have also heard negatives with this. Avatar m tn Both say its nothing urgent, since it down and not up. One of them says it can and should be treated with laser, another one says laser will not work, we should let it heal on its own, but if it progresses, go to surgery. Its been 6 months now since injury, so if it didn't heal by now, is there still a chance it will heal in the future? How long it takes in average to heal, if it heals? Should i wait or proceed with laser? Thank you.
Avatar n tn I have used TCA, glycolic peels, hydroquinone, tretioin, kojic, bit nothing has reduced it. Recently i heard that yag laser can be used for depigmenting skin by destroying melanin cells itself, and in a way cause hypopigmentation in these regions. Can I do this. Please advice the type of laser, etc.

Avatar m tn Try laser treatments at your local skin clinic. Here is info from from Australian Skin Clinic… “Laser for redness treatments can help you minimise facial redness and rosacea caused by dilated blood vessels and sun damage.. This quick and non-invasive skin treatment will help diminish imperfections and reveal a clearer, more even complexion. Laser for redness removal works by bio-stimulating the dermal and epidermal levels of the skin with light emissions from a laser.
