Avatar f tn Large pores can be easily dealt with proper cleansing and frequent toning and moisturizing of the skin. Other treatments to consider include microdermabrasion, skin resurfacing lasers and chemical skin peels. In my opinion you should discuss these treatment options with a cosmetologist/dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn I had 4 retinal detachments in my right eye and during my 3rd detachment I had sclera buckling and oil put in for 5 months and 2 months after removal it has detached again but now the Dr advised that because its contained outside the laser scar he can just monitor it. So I went for 2nd and 3rd opinion without telling them what the other specialist said and they all talk the same thing. So I want to know if its ok as I am tired of the surgeries?

Avatar n tn If so, there are a number of treatments available. One very popular remedy has been laser skin resurfacing which helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, scars, lines and hyper pigmentation surrounding the eyes and mouth. It can also be used to treat areas on the cheeks. Laser resurfacing does not cause as much discomfort, bruising, scaring or bleeding compared to other cosmetic surgery procedures.
Avatar m tn Hi Kindd Thank you for reply. I've seen a couple or dermatologists who have told me several different things. One suggested that I don't get the dermaroller and instead do the fraxel laser and take care of the thread veins at the same time. I'm mixed race and very cautious about using lasers on mt skin. I live in scotland and most of the doctors here have very little experience of working on ethnic skin.

Avatar m tn Hello, The Vbeam produces a laser light that can be absorbed by the red pigment in the skin. The Vbeam laser works in combination with the Cool Touch laser and with a substance called Levulan. While the Vbeam laser removes red from acne scar tissue, the Cool Touch laser tightens the skin from the inside out. But this requires more than two sittings to take effect. So you should follow up with your cosmetologist and get it done in multiple sittings.
Avatar m tn I have been checked by a dermatologist and nothing is cancerous. I went to a skin care clinic and they have advised the following treatment: “Laser treatment to Cherry Angiomas immediately. We use a long pulsed Nd:Yag laser for this and I would anticipate removal of these in one session with no real issues. Commence Obagi Nu-Derm immediately for the reduction in hyperpigmented areas.
